Great place to find wine and it seems the people who work here know what they're talking about. At least, the ones that I've come across. They have it all. Love this bevmo. The workers are very kind and helpful. My boyfriend needed bottles of wine for my parents, and one of the ladies who works there was so knowledgeable and friendly! She schooled us on which wines were the best choice for our budget, and I came out feeling like we got some good stuff. $2 unlimited wine tastings on saturdays make this place even better. It was cool learning about different wines with all these old folks ahahah. Very convenient location for Tri-City BevMo shoppers! This place has a wide variety of alcoholic beverages you can want. I placed an online order for a 1.75 Liter bottle of Hennessy and it was ready to be picked up in a hour. Instead of driving down to this location and finding out that they were out of stock of my order, I was contacted immediately and notified they were out. They gave me substitution choices to replace the out of stock order. I ended up getting the 1 Liter bottle of Hennessy, since it was in stock. When I picked up my order, the staff was very helpful and processed the correct pricing from the 1.75L to the 1L bottle. They had me on my way fairly quickly since the store was packed due to the day before Christmas Eve. read more

Friendly staff! I really enjoy walking around and checking out the goods for myself, but I do appreciate the staff asking if I needed help and really let me wander. It's pestering when they constantly ask if you need help, so I'm glad they have a knack for being attentive without being overbearing. I was looking for a popular chilled red wine and lo-and-behold, I found the last bottle! Tonight was the second time I have been to this store to Buy Beer. My cashier was an older Oriental guy with terrible mode and no smile at all. I forgot to bring my discount store card that night and I have just signed up a week ago so I guess my phone # was not in the system yet. The upset looking cashier asked me about my # about 3-4 times ( It was not coming up in his system) with a very rudish attitude throughout the transaction and made me refill a new card, I put the city ( fremont) but I forgot to put the State and Zip, he again with unpleasant way he gave me back the card and insisted I have the State and Zip code ( just to give me hard time). My comment is to the manager , why do you hire grumpy people that hate their job with their bad attitude that ruins other people evenings. Thank You read more

They were fast, and were more than willing to help me compare options. They also seemed reasonably knowledgeable, which is a major plus when you're not entirely sure what you want. I was noticed almost immediately, and when I got a confused look on my face, an employee was quick to help me figure out what I was looking at, as well as suggesting a few drinks that I could make with it. read more

They have a really good selection of beers that you will not find in your regular grocery store or liquor store. Definitely one of my fave BevMo's to go to. They have extremely pleasant staff and they always have what I'm looking for. I couldn't complain about this place if I tried. I walked in looking for a particular bottle for a friend and the gentleman that assisted me was not only super friendly but he took the time to help me find the bottle, tell me a little background history on the maker and assisted me all the way to the very end at the checkout. I couldn't ask for me and he was SUPER nice. WTH!! It shouldn't be a surprise that the staff is friendly but this place was m,ore than exceptional on the friendliness, attentiveness and knowledge of the entire staff! Kudos to you, BevMo! read more

Rich, I am rich! I have struck gold! Ok not quite, but after noticing BevMo locations were having some big clearance mark downs on random items, I perused stemware online at a few SouthBay locations and saw this locale was closing out on a bunch of Riedal O stemware for really good price. So bought it online to hold for pickup. Woohooo. One can never have too many wine glasses. Hey, back off - how many pairs of SHOES are in YOUR closet, hmmm?! Snuck out of the company picnic Friday to pick them up. Word was they were looking for executives for the dunk tank that afternoon, and since I didn't bring my trunks, thought this would be a good time to not be found in my office. This BevMo is way off my flight path, so may not get here again. They were heavily staffed as it was the first day of the 5 cent second bottle sale...luckily it was early afternoon and the frenzy had not started yet. Not only did I score my glasses, and a mixed case of stuff at half price, but the day before the limited edition 080808 Stone Brewing Co Epic ale just came out. This stuff has a cult following and is usually limited to 6 bottles per customer. Its designed to age, and can be sold for good money when hung on to. (when I moved to Mexico from Denver I sold a case at a decent profit.) There was no limit, so I grabbed a case (12 bottles) and threw it into my groaning cart. Staff was mostly friendly, easy parking, seemed to have a excellent selection of most items. If I had to live in Fremont, I'd go here a lot. *ducks* read more

Who doesn't love BevMo? This place is great. People usually buy their beer or liquor when they're grocery shopping for the week. It's better to come here though and save a ton of money. They have every beer, wine, & bottle of liquor you can think of basically. Their wine selection is huge, I'm not much of a wine drinker myself, but when you go to a party or other events, it's good to bring a nice bottle of wine, and this place has many to choose from. read more

I've seen better BevMo's than this one with more rows of beer selection and also more cold cases of beer selection. This location may be more of a limited real estate issue which can't be helped. Otherwise, this BevMo functions just like any other BevMo! where workers were very friendly and easy going in terms of offering assistance and advice with any of their choices. I did manage to find two bottles of craft brew Stout and a brown ale that I haven't tried so in the end, win-win for both sides! read more

I love coming here every few months to stock up - esp since it was the $0.05 sale! okay so im not sure if i was alone on this but it was my first time and i thought it was buy 1 wine and regular price and buy ANOTHER bottle of wine (not the same) for 5cents --- mah bad! oh well i still bought a SHIT load of wine to fill up my handy dandy wine bar thingy :) Service was great - BUT when i asked for a sweet recommendation, i got pointed to one AND it looked good so i bought 2 (second one at 5cents) ... I myself love me some good ol Fire Water (Cinnamon Schnapps) and if any of you know what Fire water is you know its 100 Proof , but a lass Fire water is not sold in Cali anymore to my knowledge. So I had to Settle with Hot Damn! which is 40 Proof.... until I was at Bevmo this past Friday looking for stuff for our house warming party... when... Hot Damn 100 Proof was there for only 11.99!!!! My review is basically for the few kegs I've ordered here in the past couple years. If you need a keg in the east bay, this is pretty much the place to go unless you have weeks to order ahead of time if you're going with a small liquor store. The price for kegs is comparable if not cheaper than liquor stores. They offer half and full kegs. And the workers are friendly. read more

Smallest and oldest looking BevMo I have ever seen, also this is the closest to my house..and not to close. The layout makes finding allot that I am looking for challenging, and I feel the wine labeling could be much better. It works though for what it is. read more

Came in to kill some time before dinner and browsed their great selection of specialty brews and liquor. Found some great bottles of single malt scotch and some oldies but goodies. Service was great and the staff was helpful. Picked up a Kona beer mug and a couple brews for mixing with the Malibu rum, Wifey's pick. The first thing I'm hit with when I walk in is the warm decor. I'm used to white walls and linoleum flooring. Feels like a log cabin on a snowy day and all you want to do is drink bourbon and whiskey...so I went for the whiskey. The store has a good selection of spirits and gift items. Although i havent been here in a while, (currently with child) i have always recieved supurb service! There are plenty of friendly staff willing to help you here. Prices are generally better than other places ive compared to and i believe they even do price matching (with proof of other stores prices of course) A plethera of alcohol, yummy cheeses, snacks and different types of sodas to choose from. You can even ask a staff member to suggest something for you, just tell them what you like! Has another entry under Bervages and More! Lots of booze and variety. I like to come here to get bulk bottles, but find that bottle sizes of items you can find at grocery stores aren't cheaper. Plan ahead to get lemons or limes at a grocery store because they charge out the butt for these and non-alcoholic items. read more

This review is based on the customer service, not the items at the store... I ordered a fifteen gallon keg of Modelo on August 10th for my boyfriend's birthday party. I set the pickup date for Saturday August 16 at 12 noon from my local BevMo (Fremont, CA). I had my friend's boyfriend come with me to pickup the keg so I would have someone to take it into the backyard. I walked into BevMo and grabbed a grabbed a couple things before going to get the keg. Upon checking out, I was not allowed to purchase my items because my friend's boyfriend did not have his ID. I was the one paying and I was the one with the ID...my friends boyfriend is 29. I then asked if I could still pick up my keg that I had ordered and paid about $300 for! I was told I could not do that either. I told them I paid for it with my card and had my ID as stated in my emails received by BevMo that I would need for pickup. Nowhere in my confirmation emails (I received 2) does it say that anyone accompanying me would need an ID for picking up the keg. I left without the keg and without my items and had to return at 3pm when my friend's boyfriend was available again to help me with the keg. He had his ID and when I came in and grabbed my same two items, only I was carded. And when I picked up the keg he was not carded either. The girl that was going to check me out initially that did not allow me to get my items was still there as was the store manager (Russ or Ross?) that did not allow me to get my items as well. What if I came in with my 7 year old niece, am I still not allowed to pickup my items or purchase anything? I see parents walking in and out of the store all the time with their kids young and old and never carding them. Is this age discrimination? What if I had a 14 or 15 year old (I am 29) and they obviously would not have ID would you still not sell to me? read more

I'm not a playa, I just crush a lot... on alcohol... of all types. This BevMo is my favorite! It's organized, clean, and always stocked. The staff is so friendly and helpful! I love reading all the labels to see where it was made, how many points it earned ( even though I don't know what that quite means) Hey, if it tastes good, I'm drinking it. It can come out of a box for all I care. I love their gadgets, cheese, meats, and snack sections. I love the selections of wines, hard liquor, and beer. The only thing that kinda sucks is that sometimes their 5 cent sale means you have to buy the same exact bottle, you can't mix and match. Total Bummer. Gotta go... I see 12 steps up ahead. read more

A specific complaint about the Fremont BevMo: Look, it's BevMo. They're all the same, but here's a heads-up to steer clear of one of the employees at the Fremont BevMo. Here's the backstory: We purchased a ton of alcohol for our wedding here. Initially, everyone had tried to be helpful to pick out the right stuff. (Although the guy at the Pleasanton BevMo went out of his way, where the Fremont people were nice but aloof.) So now the wedding is over and it turns out a case or two of one of the purchases were a mistake so we bring them back. The guy who rung up the return lectured us about California liquor laws before saying we couldn't return anything. We, of course, protested because everyone we talked to at BevMo leading up to our initial purchases, said to buy it and if it was a mistake just bring it back. So we tell him this and he actually uses the words "Let me finish" in what could be the most condescending way I've been spoken to since I was a child. I don't know about you, but I don't solicit businesses that lecture me or treat me like I'm someone to fight with or worse, like I'm an idiot. Ultimately we were able to do the return after someone else stepped in. (The guy didn't know how to use the cash register. Maybe we should spend more time learning the tools of our job than lecturing people.) So my suggestion is this, if you've got a big event to buy for, go to the Pleasanton BevMo. They're great, accommodating, know their stuff and keep their 'tudes in check. read more

Visiting Bevmo aka alchohol paradise is great...This place got everything from wines to liquor..Personally not a fan of beer/hard liquor so I only go here for select wines-( Pacific Rim Riesling is awesome ). Came here with my sister and niece to concoct some new camping drinks. I've been here before, and being always unprepared without a list the store can be a bit overwhelming. This time was no different, but we had a mission to finish. As I waded through the stumbling winos', the jabbering yokels, the towering frat boys, and the pleased as punch party partners, my mind delved for the long sought after perfect mixing elixir. Thinking Irish Creme may be a good foundation, I immediately thought "blackberry's", a cordial, a brandy, something... So we picked out a few "testers", banana liquer and one other, some midori, and some Irish cream. So some lady behind this little enclosed "beer garden" starts mentioning a drink concoction I can't quite remember and then asks if I want to test the summer ale sampler for a $1. How could I pass that up! Some were tasty, and some were way bitter, but my favorite was the Blue Moon Honey Moon, nice, sweet and refreshing. Our go-to place for rum, vodka, specialty beers, wine, Spanish sherry, etc. Wide selection of craft brews. I've been shopping at this BevMo for eight or nine years. My boyfriend's father and grandfather both love Scotch, grandmother loves Irish whiskey, we love the plastic bottled rum (for making rum cake). We come here so that we can get them a different scotch and Irish whiskey for their birthdays and Christmas every year. The cold case beer selection is pretty slim, especially when you want to try something other than the usual suspects. The cashier carded me and my boyfriend, even though he was the one paying. Luckily, I had my wallet with me, but generally I don't bring my wallet when I am tagging along to go to the store. I don't tag along on alcohol purchasing trips often, so I'm not familiar with the law regarding carding everyone in the group. Anyways, the customer service is otherwise good.
