Reviewers who give this a one star because they don't like the sign coming to DP, perhaps need to focus their attention on the actual store. Insert eye roll here. I commend this location for having its act together during the pandemic. They strictly enforced their "one customer in the store a time" rule. They also ensured that customers lined up on the designated social distancing lines clearly marked outside the store while waiting their turn to enter. They kept a close eye on this and told people to move if they were not in the correct spot. All employees were wearing masks. They kept at least a 10 foot distance while reviewing the inventory from my online order. And they quickly identified and refunded an amount for an out of stock item. If all stores would operate this way, it would make life a lot safer and easier during this difficult time. read more

Horrible experience with a staff member at this BevMo Dana point location! I walked into purchase high end tequila, Clase Azul reposado to be exact and I asked a staff member who was dreadfully rude where the restroom was and he said, "its closed!" Which I said "ohhh it's out of service?" He said, "No, I just cleaned it!!" And I replied, "Is the store closing soon?" Which he said, "No the store closes in 40 minutes!" So, I said, "If the store is open and the restrooms are not out of order as a costumer, I can use the restroom! Which he replied, "You can buy, but you cannot use the restrooms speaking to me in a disrespectful manner. I was so shocked that there are people working in a management position or in charge of the store for the time being, who can speak down and with an arrogant attitude to a customer. I tolled that gentleman, "you need to talk to customers in a proper manner! Then, he turned his back, so I left the store. I didn't not get the name of this person but the incident occurred on 5/5/19. This employee should be written up by higher management, I always shop at BevMo and because of this employee this store loss a $200 purchase for 2 bottles.I am just one costumer, but if these type of working employees continue to act in such manner toward paying costumers this location will lose money. read more

As soon as I walked inside the store I didn't have a good vibe. The manager kept eyeing me and my friends up and down like we didn't belong there. One of the guys from the group found what he wanted so he proceeded to pay. The cashier asked him for his ID and then asked for all of our ID even tho we all left the store frustrated, none of us was buying. We are all 21 and I think it's ridiculous that this is the first time this has happened to me and I don't ever wanna come back again. We left with nothing but frustration read more

Everyone knows BevMo has a great selection of "adult beverages." The issue is customer service. Stopping in to pick up a twelve pack of beer about 8 pm on a Tuesday night, I needed to use the public restroom. The salesperson informed me, the restrooms had been cleaned and were not available for use. Huh!? Is this common practice? Since the store closes at 9 pm, shouldn't the restrooms be open until then? As another person wrote, prices are the same or better at other stores, so spending my money at BevMo Dana Point will not happen again. read more

Andrea and Mark were not only helpful but a wealth of knowledge. The layout in the store as nice as it was my first time at this location and was very easy to find. I can't even imagine the rent for that prime of a location but it makes it a lot easier when I need a specific bottle of wine for my mother-in-law who lives down the street. read more

I generally like bevmo but I find I go there only as a last resort. The prices have definitely gone up and the experience is never all that great. The Dana point store is my least favorite location. The sales staff is very unfriendly, arrogant and not at all helpful. read more

WARNING; Do not buy the warm (non refrigerator) craft beer here. My $56.00 craft six pack had 4 beers spoiled in it. This happened when I bought beers for my birthday last year. Last year I received a spoiled beer, saved it, and took it into the store with receipt thinking they would be concerned and offer a refund. The lady looked at me like I was stupid for bringing an open (capped) beer in. She took it, rolling her eyes as she walked off..and that was it. I replied "guess I didn't need a refund". So again today I saved the spoiled beers, w receipt and went in to talk to the General Manager. The assistant told me "she's not in till later" and "if I wanted to speak to her (Evelyn) best to come in Monday as she's probably to busy to talk to me today". How would she know, and isn't that a rude statement? Too busy to take a customers concerns, are you serious? I asked the A.M. why would I have to come back in when I'm here now. I asked if she could help and she said "not if you need something done". I explained I was a customer with an issue and "come back Monday" doesn't work for me. Are you f'n serious lady. WTF. This is customer service at its worse. Decided to never go back, toss my $56 beers in the trash, and, write this nasty little review as my gift back to them for the shitty beer & customer servicethanks Bev Mo, off to Total Wine, & more! read more

The new BevMo in Dana Point is a great looking store in a very central location. The staff were very helpful and welcoming. Compared to other locations in the chain, actually liked the smaller footprint. The inventory is better organized and curated. Found it easier to shop for varietal wine, with good choices in key price tiers. This store has more of a neighborhood feel, and especially appreciated the way Andrea, the store manager, is opening the brand in her own community. The design and ambiance of the tasting room was very cool. Looking forward to returning for an event there. Kudos to all. read more

I like the Idea of Bevmo, and I visited other location the staff have always been friendly and they do have a good selection. I do find they are more expensive than my local StatersBro's store so I am not so inclined to go into the store and shop. Sorry Bevmo, maybe be a more of what you are a wholesale Liquor store..
