On one of my first visits, the doctor used a manual, more invasive adjustment; something that really surprised me given the nature of my injury and what I had shared about my pain. Unfortunately, that adjustment caused a significant increase in pain, and while I appreciated that he never used that technique again, the damage had already been done. I continued care longer than I probably should have, trying to trust the process and hoping things would improve. But the pain never got better, it intensified and began affecting new areas of my spine and lower back that hadn't been painful before. Eventually, at the recommendation of my primary care provider, I stopped chiropractic treatment altogether. I understand that every body responds differently, and some people may have positive experiences here. But I do wish there had been more attentiveness to how my body was responding early on. If you're considering chiropractic care after an accident, please listen to your body and advocate for yourself if something doesn't feel right.

When I called to ask why I was charged an additional $170.00 for the office visit I was told it was because my insurance company required them to check in on how my treatment was going. I have been going for maintenance purposes. I did call my insurance company and was told that this was a false statement that they do not require this. I tried to speak with the office manager again and never received a call back. Unless you want to be charged for services every 4 months that don't amount to $170.00 worth of treatment I would avoid going to Vida.
