The front desk members were really friendly and accommodating, and went out of their way to make sure we were taken care of. We were offered a towel and chilled bottle of water to get started, and they also helped us set up our bikes for the first time. The actual class, led by Malin (seriously the most energetic fitness instructor I've ever had), got my heart pumping right away. Malin was great at pushing us to work harder and her enthusiasm made the class fly by. Most of the classes here are taught in German (obviously), but Malin's class is taught in English. Afterwards, a staff member was waiting with chilled eucalyptus towels, which were really refreshing after sweating so much. They also offer a fully-stocked shower room, with plenty of fluffy towels, high-quality shampoo and conditioner, hairspray, makeup remover, deodorant, lotion, and hair dryers. Amazing staff, awesome workout, great amenities. I would definitely come back here for a ride next time in Berlin!

What RideBerlin does better than any spin studio that I have been to is its customer service…read more Either Kirill (sp?) or Tyl (sp?) are always on site to make sure everything runs smoothly. Your bike settings and weights are recorded in their system so everything is always set up when you show up to the studio. Bottles of water and shoes are included with each class. The water station even has bubbly (oh Europe :-)). Every workout is topped off with a scented moist towel. Facilities (lockers, showers, etc.) are top notch. They have done everything here to make sure that all you have to do is show up in your workout clothes. Pricing is expensive for Berlin but very reasonable compared to any studio in the US. They also have a number of different packages to enable anyone to ride. I can not say enough about how great the team and owners are here. Some of their instructions will differ from flywheel and soulcycle. Really not that important. You'll still walk out needing a shower. :-)

We hired a driver to pick us up at the airport in Dublin. No one was there when we arrived. I…read morecalled and the driver didn't know who I was. When he figured it out he said he didn't expect me to land for 30 more minutes. We decided to take a taxi instead of wait for him. The company pre-charged my credit card and won't refund me because I cancelled within their one hour "buffer" time and they say during that time the driver could pick up other people. So, while you're waiting with your bags, after a long day of travel, your driver could be getting in another ride during the time you reserved.

Went out and waited for awhile and after trying to contact Sixt in confusion, some guy finally came to us and told us that he was from sixt. Great. He then proceeded to tell us to wait IN THE COLD while he went back into the airport to "find someone" and we stupidly waited for 20 mins before realizing he was never going to come back!!!!!! We got an uber instead. Wanted to use airport transfer for seamless transportation but this company SUCKS. Called sixt and the customer service said our ride was cancelled because the driver was too far or something, and will refund us, but it's been two weeks and NO REFUND. Please, STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!!!

On 17.09, he left the reception unattended to eat while several guests were waiting in line. After more than 30 minutes of waiting, I had to check in via the self-service machine. Later, when I tried to resolve a room issue (my room was placed directly opposite the elevator despite my earlier request), I patiently waited another 20 minutes in line. Mr. Reupke then refused to help me until everyone else was served, making me wait an additional 15 minutes. Altogether I lost more than an hour just because the receptionist neglected his duties. On 19.09, I had extended and paid for my stay until 21.09. Despite this, at around 14:00 someone tried to forcefully enter my room while I was resting, even though the "Do Not Disturb" sign was on the door. At the reception, Mr. Reupke gave contradictory explanations ("a mistake", then "they wanted to clean"), although the person knocking was clearly not a cleaner. When I expressed that this was unacceptable, he dismissed me, saying "it's not a big deal". When I insisted on my right to complain, he rudely told me: "Don't teach me how to do my job", then turned his back, left the desk, and went to eat instead of resolving the issue. I paid €160 per night and expected professionalism and respect. Instead, I was met with arrogance, rudeness, and complete disregard for guests. This is the worst hotel experience I've had in Berlin, and I strongly advise management to review the behavior of this employee.

I was also promised I could get a cab early to catch an early flight. The cab took 30 minutes with lots of stress. The hotel is cheap but you end up paying more than just staying in a hotel in the city.

Tiergarten is a very-very large park. And, when I say it it very large, I do mean it is truly very…read morelarge. It is one of the biggest city parks I have ever experienced. Located right in the heart of Berlin, Tiergarten is almost impossible to miss, as all roads lead to it or through it. Once inside this park, you'll you'll find a very large amount of all kinds of trees, plants, grass, and shrubbery. The park is truly a testament to a vast natural space in the center of a city. You will see people riding their bikes, running, walking, and just kicking back on the grass throughout the park. As urban as most of Berlin tends to be, this park is truly a space for a person to workout in nature or just commune with all that is natural. The one thing I will say, that I find very curious about this park, is that there are very few restrooms. You really have to walk a distance to one if you need to use the facilities. From this, I have seen a number of people, particularly men, just using the side of a tree to relieve themselves. I imagine, as vast as this park is, where there are numerous private places, this is not that uncommon of an occurrence. This is not a criticism, this is just something for your to keep in mind if you come to this park. Be aware, you should know where one of the few restrooms are located before you enter the park, just in case you realize you need to go. Overall, this a great park. A fun place to just walk and enjoy nature and some peace in Berlin.

Instead it's just a giant swamp filled with bicyclists, nowhere to sit, nothing to see. Very few benches. Sprinklers that spray pathways. It's right next to the Bundestag and Brandenburg Gate and absolutely does not share the magnificence of those places.

It took maybe three minutes to walk from the hotel to the entrance of the airport. There is a subway station in the airport, which made it easy to get to famous landmarks in Berlin. This hotel had a nice modern vibe to it. It also had kiosk so you can check in yourself. My only complaint was that I could only reduce the temperature in the room by three. So it was hot in the middle of the night. And the thermostat only worked if you were in the room.

After checking your bag in thru, follow the sign that says "all gates". If you are leaving EU, you will need to go through the border control again. Gate C and E. For EU residents, automated system. All 2nd class citizen including US, need to follow the sign and manually process. Once inside the C and D area, plenty of restrooms and stores to pick up goodies of needed.

Good signage. There were plenty of dining and shopping options available but we didn't use any as we just heading to our boarding gate. Getting though check in and security screening was fast and the people checking ID's and passports were all business. Plenty of seating at gate areas and the airport is very functional overall with an industrial feel and design.
