I was…read morea little nervous thinking that it will be painful but Dr Adrian did a great job on redoing the fillings with minimal pain (I was bracing for pain but the one injection I needed was so smooth and gentle!!) and the work was done in less than an hour! He also checked in often to make sure I wasn't in pain. I especially appreciated that Dr Adrian took the time to buff out the fillings and he was determined to make the adjustments no matter how small, until my bite was back to normal. Other dentists that I've had would dismiss when I'd mention that my bite feels different after having a filling done- or tell me that I'll eventually adjust to it. I also have to mention that Kathy and Megan the dental hygienists are awesome!! I brought in my toddler for his first appointment and Megan did a phenomenal job at getting him comfortable with the tools and the experience of a dentist appointment. Jen and Kelly at the front desk are so sweet and understanding. They answered all of my questions clearly and made future scheduling so easy for me and my family. Overall a great experience here!!

From initial phone call to follow up, Sunset Oak Dental brings an incredible amount of comfort, ease, kindness, and sincerity to dental - and overall - health. They were accommodating of scheduling and needs. The lobby was relaxing, and with a receptionist like this one the normal waiting room anxiety disappears. She was welcoming, helpful, informative, and it felt like we were having a conversation throughout all the paperwork rather than just going through files. All the staff feels like a real team. Sometimes going through other appointments I feel like I am almost being handed off on a conveyor belt system, this felt nothing like that. The thing I appreciate most about Dr. Felahy is his incredible honesty about information and clear knowledge about what actually happens to your teeth. It was the first time I have ever had a dentist ask questions to fully explain and understand what was happening in my mouth, and how that related to other things happening in my life and body. It was the first dentist that seemed to understand that teeth are more than some isolated thing to poke around and clean - they are expressive of habits and lifestyle (and so far beyond just whether or not you floss). He fully explained how certain things of my past have affected my teeth health today, and what that means in the future. It actually helped me process some life while in the dental chair! Dr. Felahy and his team were so assuring and supportive through it all. Yes they did hold my hand. Yes I was scared but that soon subsided quickly. After the whole process which was so fast and really easy (a lot more than I thought it would be) I am no longer scared and I am so happy with my smile. Hesitating that first day walking in. Now I miss them. The entire staff has become my friends and confidants. If you have any question on is this place for me? It is. He is a fair and honest person. One thing I love about Dr. Volki and his staff is they are so considerate they will do everything they can to help you even if uninsured. Which by the way he gives a a discount for cash! I could also tell you how comfortable they make you feel massaging chairs, smiling staff, supportive and just all around a great group of people. Make sure to make this your first and last dentist you ever need to find. I live a little ways away, but that's ok! I'd drive hours just to be in that office with Dr. Volki Felahy and his team. After needing to find an adult dentist for myself, I visited a local dentist in Granite Bay. They said I needed $600+ of treatment (and performed an unnecessary pano xray). I went for a second opinion to Dr Barakat who confirmed my thought...I was completely cavity free. I begged my husband to go to Barakat for a second opinion (after he was told he needed 2 fillings by a new dentist after his insurance changed). Guess what...no cavities!
