If you wear an XS or Small, options were extremely limited, especially compared to the larger size selections available. Hopefully they restock soon because the merchandise they did have was stylish and well displayed. Overall, still a great experience with excellent staff and a great vibe -- just wishing for a little more inclusivity in sizing availability.

The prices are really good because he doesn't have the overhead that a Conte's or other large bike seller. But the most important thing is he has a ton of bikes in stock that you can ride around. Mike, the owner, is well versed in the electric bike market and even designs his own bikes. If you are looking for a good selection with excellent customer service, you need to make the trip out to Starspan.

Luckily we were traveling home from camp and I found what appeared to be a bike shop on Yelp that wasn't out of the way and relatively close to the Henson Creek Trail. I immediately called the phone number listed and was pleasantly greeted by Mr. Will who assured me that Starspan not only sales bikes but does a great job repairing also....say less, I was on location in list than 10 minutes. This was Thursday and my sons braking systems was completely damaged...by Saturday as promised, the bike was repaired and my son was back at camp on Monday. Starspan has been at this location a little over a year according to Mr. Will. My drop off and pick up experience was very easy...both Mr. Mike and Will take their time with their customers and it's appreciated. Although this place is a little far from me...it's within my county and I would rather support the county then travel outside. I'm happy to provide Starspan their first review which I am sure others will find helpful. Bike repair shops aren't as plentiful as they used to be so it's great to see they are still around...as eventually we all will need them.

Pros: He was really helpful when I was looking at "POS" bikes on offer up. I'm big on service, and the fact that he was willing to look out for me like that, at the time, spoke volumes. Towards the end he seemed a little irritated, but that's understandable given he hadn't made any money off me at the time. Cons: Once I got a bike, he came to pick it up, which I appreciated. The issue was, I was quoted a specific day for pickup, and things went weird after that. The day came and I was running late, so I asked if he had left the house yet. He said no, so I asked if we could push the time back a bit. He said he had already left the house and was ten minutes away...ok...so I showed up to the meet and he had my bike. He then goes over all this stuff about how it's terrible and how it's going to fall apart any minute and how I need to give him however many thousand to get it in good condition. It was overwhelming to say the least. It was also all off. Some of his advice was valid, but overall it was excessive. I got charged $165 for what I thought was less, as it is everywhere else in VA. I also think the delivery was too abrasive and fear-tactic-y. Anywho, 6 months and 3k miles later, the bike is still running strong. ALSO, I recommended him to someone else, and they said he was taking forever to get their bike back to them. Note to AJ: I apologize for not explaining the reason for my review sooner. I should have said what was wrong from jump. But also, insulting a former customer, however warranted you think it may be, will never be good for business. I support what you stand for, but the PM you sent me was off base, and the way you take criticism is a reflection of your customer service, both of which start off well, but fall off hard.
