Don't bother. Something is "not right" here. Very abnormal behavior & clinical decision-making.
This "practitioner" needs to be put on probation pending clearance through the medical board's program for physicians who are unfit to practice. I do not say this lightly or out of spite. He poses a danger to the public. I base this on my education & experience in the field with psych patients and my experience with other Dr's in this specialty. I don't mind speaking up as I wouldn't want to be associated with him in any way. Though, I feel for anyone under his care as he displays no regard for patient well-being. He clearly thinks his opinion is superior to other practitioners, their assessments & the results of objective measurements (MRI, CT, PET/CT), despite being dead wrong. He is suffering from at least one cognitive or mental health disorder which is readily apparent in his disorganized thinking, bizarre opinions, comments, & abnormal behavior.
Others have commented on strange behavior by this individual. While I didn't stick around long enough to evaluate his prescribing practices, he expressed clear bias against certain treatments, criticized procedures outside the scope of his knowledge or experience, which led me to believe he makes faulty decisions in direct opposition to his peers, and standards of care, which would likely be ruled as gross negligence/gross incompetence.
For all we know, he may have had previous issues, since only sanctions that lead to punitive measures are publicly available on the medical board website. Often, a physician can "resolve" their fumbles without any trace being available to the public. In this practice environment, it's hard to believe that everything is "smooth sailing." He displayed a clear aversion to treating as similarly situated practitioners have & would. Bypassing established standards of care in favor of bizarre, incorrect diagnostic statements, & treatment suggestions. My suspicion is that he is one of many who prioritize their well-being over that of their patients. These outfits are often called "drill mills" as they want everything to result in highly profitable injections/interventional procedures which have lasting harms, known risks, aren't FDA approved, & have little oversight on how they're coded/billed from one injection to another - often billed by Dr's in favor of the highest reimbursed procedures. A patient would be unaware if they're receiving the injection costing hundreds vs the injection that can run into the mid thousands, unless they were involved in the process. This fraud/abuse is rampant.
He was sarcastic & offensive in his comments because I was not willing to go along with his flawed diagnostic opinion, citing the abundance of evidence contrary to it, or submit to his inappropriate treatment plan. He did not like being wrong & couldn't help himself from trying to mischaracterize me, prior practitioners, & the situation. It's not a surprise that someone posted "medical gaslighting" here. They experienced this person's behavior as well. His staff was even embarrassed by his behavior, making compensatory remarks while visibly embarrassed.
He erroneously diagnosed me about 5 minutes in, visually, as he hadn't even looked at the records, with a condition that is not only incorrect but had been ruled out by a previous practitioner who's a published expert on that condition. His reasoning? The fact that I commented that there's no padding left in the worn out chairs for patients & while waiting this caused me to shift then stand up to avoid the painful effect of being seated in chairs that I don't think would be worth putting in a yard sale. Mind you, he has an unorthodox large armchair/lounge chair (the kind you would have in your home, a piece of a sofa set, for himself to sit in, taking up most of the exam room. You can interpret that as you wish but it says to me, "my comfort is of the utmost importance and I don't care if patients seeking pain treatment sit in worn, cheap, uncomfortable furniture" not unlike the kind you see people put out on the curb for disposal. It's also characteristic of his opinion of himself.
On the issue of physical exams. He conducted none. He simply made a snap judgements based on mere minutes of observation and strange opinions.
