A nice touch was appeared to be hand painted flowers on the walls in the ladies room and how tidy it was. The food looked good, you could order ahead or wait and if in a hurry, some nice to go containers in the refrigerator. We were happy to see the products available and purchased several jams, honey and peach butter. Great assortment of oak and barrel jams, local honey, New Hope Mill mixes, Old Barn brand pot pie square noodles, sauces, Amish tinctures and more. It had been a few years since I have come through the Berkeley Springs area. The last time I was…read morethrough here was roughly ten years ago. It was on my way to a family vacation and this served as a pit stop. Of course the pit stop was Sheetz, but that was at the old location which still sits in town. Heading south through here you will definitely pass the old location and will be able to tell that it is indeed an old Sheetz. This new location takes you all the way through town, near the roundabout for the 522 bypass (which, for some reason, is not open to northbound traffic at this time). Pulling in here early in the morning served as a stretching of the legs and grabbing a quick breakfast. Found a parking spot immediately and made my way inside. Knowing that I was going to be getting breakfast I made sure to stop at the touchscreens to order. A few quick taps and I was set for food. After ordering I went towards the facilities. What I liked about this location they put some thought into layout. They leaned into the restaurant aspect more than other locations. The facilities are located right next to the seating area if you choose to dine in. Towards the front of the store made for a better placement. If this serves as a pit stop for some, I am sure it is greatly appreciated by those people as you don't have to walk into the entire store to the back corner. By the time I was finished with the facilities, which were pristine, and grabbed my drink, and paid, my order was ready. I grabbed my order and made my way over to the seating area. I devoured their 2 for $6 breakfast sandwiches while I spaced out. Facing front and looking out onto the lot, you get to see how much this space is busy. People coming and going and at a fast pace. I do have to say, the staff here are amazing. It did not matter if I saw an employee, each and every one of them greeted me and asked how my day was going. They were some of the nicest employees I have come across in any business. If I ever find myself driving this way again, I will definitely make this my pit stop.

I was nearing E and knew I wouldn't be making the next major area for fuel and having just passed the Hancock area I needed to pull off. Unless you live off this exit from I-70, there is really nothing here besides this business. It is a welcomed sight when you are in need. The Exxon serves as more than a gas station. There is fuel for trucks as well and in the very near future there will be charging stations for your electric vehicles. They were installing them during my visit. Being that there isn't any competition here for fuel, they kind of set the prices. They are fair, but not the best. Ample enough pumps when they are not doing maintenance on what they have. When I was here, they were working on the awning, taking out a few of the pumps as they made progress. I used pay at the pumps. It felt like I wasn't able to get out of here fast enough. Before I could even get out of my vehicle and swipe my card there was already somebody behind me. The pump took a bit, but soon enough I was done and back in my vehicle. Easy to get back onto the Interstate once I was done. This will be on my short list when it comes to places for fuel on my trips.

It is and odd set up, but seems to do well for itself in the area. As much as it does not seem to be welcoming, it actually is. Also, the one star review about it not being open, must not have looked up the hours for this place prior to coming here.
