When he was ready to do the job, he told me HE COULD NOT put the fence where I needed it bc there were too many rocks. OK, so don't assure me 3 times and then give me a different story. Not happy Settled for less than expected. The installation was great and the fence looks fine. But, 2nd, I also needed a partition built and he came up with something that I agreed to, two benches with a gate. The work was done extremely sloppily by his assistant. I took photos, made calls and was assured multiple times over many months that the work wd be done to my satisfaction and that he wd come out and do it himself. There were minor corrections made by who I don't know, but it is still unsatisfactory. Uneven cuts, poor or no mittering, split slats, hinges that aren't properly attached. I cd go on and on. I got many excuses including, "we never did anything like this before" and what he got is an unsatisfied customer and a poor review. He is charming and will make promises some of which he cannot or will not keep. He is proficient in some areas and no so much in others and in those he is not, he will not correct them to your satisfaction. When we first met, he went on and on about how he tried to satisfy a customer and that the customer was unreasonable. I felt bad for him, but that story that went on and on and should have set off an alarm in my head that maybe something wasn't right. So if he gives you a story about how hard he tried to please a customer and couldn't, it cd be that he simply couldn't or wouldn't, as in my case. He price was reasonable. The fence was done well and in a reasonable timeframe, but the other issues left me pissed!

Do your due diligence and check references and reviews, especially the negative ones. Let me start off by saying, our preference is to not give a star. However, we'll settle for the one so that we can post our review. It's been 2 years and we are still waiting for them to follow through and stop with the empty promises. They installed a wooden fence for us on 08/14/2023. After a few months, the wood purchased and installed by them, started to leak a yellow and black sap. After reaching out to them several times, the installer finally showed up on 02/16/2024. He agreed that the wood does not look good and needs replacing. He took pictures and said that he would send them to the manufacturer and get back to me. As of today, we do not know if the manufacturer received their message or even responded to them. I kept following up with them because if I did not call to check status, they did not call me back. This went on for months. So, I finally asked about replacing the fence and was told that their warranty does not include the wood. If we knew that was the case before giving them the job, we would have purchased our own wood or use another company. It is crazy for them to purchase the wood and then tell you it's not their problem After numerous correspondence and many, many, empty promises, we finally went to court on 02/05/2025. We won the case and as of today, the owner still has not fulfill the requirements set forth by the judge. As a matter of fact, he told me point blank that he would not complete the full order. We made an agreement with him so that we can get it over with, but it is clear that he has no intentions of completing any of the order because he continues to give us the run around. His excuses are always that they are busy or he has personal issues to deal with. He is extremely unreliable. We honestly cannot recommend this company.

It is pretty awesome, to say the least. So, let me start my review from the very beginning of my experience with TCW. I called Todd, the general contractor, on a Sunday evening expecting to get voicemail, however, he answered the phone and talked to me while at a Braves game. Todd promptly returned my call the next day and scheduled an appointment with me and the hubs on a weekday evening to accommodate our schedule. He met with us in the evenings several times for months before our project began, which definitely helped gain our confidence in him and his team. Before the project began, Todd was very clear in the pricing. He gave us a spreadsheet with an itemized list of services, materials, and prices, which also included allowances for certain materials we were able to choose such as tile, granite, cabinets. The allowances were pretty spot on. I believe I was a couple of hundred dollars under budget on all my allowances. He assured me several times the final price would not increase unless there were unforeseen issues with the house that needed repair, or if I added more work to the project, or if I went over my allowances. There were only two issues with the house that needed repair outside the original job description, and they promptly informed of the issues with the pricing. Communication was not an issue from the first phone call with Todd to the present. Todd and everyone on his team were almost immediately responsive at all hours of the day and night, as late as 11pm. Everyone showed up for meetings at least 10 minutes before the scheduled time, responded to texts within minutes, etc. Going into this renovation I was advised from friends and family to just sell the house and find a better one. Everyone told me that contractors were all the same--crooks, dishonest, looking to cut corners, use the cheapest materials, overcharges, never responds to your calls, etc. Well, I decided to take a leap of faith with TCW homes and so far I'm glad I did. I didn't have any major issues with anyone on the TCW team. Any issue that came up was worked out fairly easily. They kept their word in regards to pricing. In regards to honesty, TCW fixed damages that I didn't even notice or expected them to fix. Everyone, contractors and subcontractors, were so nice that it was hard to complain about anything. My kitchen is beautiful and exactly how I wanted it. My master bedroom and bathroom are both beautiful. Everything turned out pretty awesome, and my family and I are enjoying our "new" house very much. Thank you TCW homes!

I called and made appointment for an estimate o install crown molding in my entire home. James…read morearrived over 1/2 hour late. He did not have anything to write on so I provided a pad of paper. He did not measure anything just wrote numbers n the pad then left with my pad of paper. He texted me the next day a quote with some dark photos of previous crown molding jobs he had completed. I asked how long the job would take and was told 2 weeks. He explained that he would be working by himself and that's why it takes so long. I told him upon reviewing some samples I would hire him. We agreed on a time for him to come by with the samples. He arrived 2 hours late with several stacks of crown molding that he just purchased (no samples) telling me he needed to store it in my garage. I asked why he didn't bring me samples to choose from and was told the one he purchased would look the best. Seeing how I have never had crown molding installed I took his word for it. I should have told him I didn't want him to do the work but I felt bad he purchased all this material so we agreed he would start installing the next morning. He arrived on time and asked me to open my garage door. Upon doing so I see him 5 houses up the road unloading his tools. I still gave him the benefit of the doubt. He started installing in my master closet at 10am. James did not bring ant materials to cover my clothes, floor or shelves. I saw him take the same piece in and out about 10 times. At 3pm he told me he was finished with the installation so I went into my closet and he had black marks all over my walls, ceiling and crown molding. He has 20 to 30 nails holding up 1 piece of crown molding some clumped together in 1 spot and others randomly placed throughout molding. I had gaps between molding and wall that calk would not fill because it was so deep. James felt that his work was perfect and the finished product (after caulking) would look great. At this point I told James I didn't have enough wall paint to touch-up all the marks on my walls and was unhappy with the results. I was then advised by James he does not paint. He said that he told me I am responsible for painting the crown molding and any walls or ceiling scuffs. I told him I was never told this and would not have hired him had I known I was responsible for painting the molding. I asked him to leave and I would pay him for his time and materials for what he did complete. James expected me to pay for all the crown molding he purchased and said it was my fault it took him so long to install the molding because he had to work around my shelves with clothes and a safe. I explained that any lived in home would require the same situation with having obstacles in his way but the time problem was because he had to re-cut the same piece of molding several times. I hired a different company to remove his molding and install crown molding in my entire home. After I choose the molding they started work 1 week later and arrived on time. 2 men installed the molding and a day latter another man joined them to tap nails in, calk then paint the new molding. They completed the job in 3 days and it looks beautiful. The new company did not have scuff marks all over my ceiling, walls and molding. They put drop cloths in the areas they were working and covered my belongings in plastic to protect them. I was advised the previous installer (James) was using molding too small for the size of home and the nails he was using to install the molding were too small as well. I do NOT recommend James with Hi Tech Trim Carpentry. James is not punctual, does not complete the job, has poor communication, is slow and is inefficient.

Buck built a fence using what appears to be the lowest quality lumber available. Boards were not…read moreevenly spaced and some were installed at slight angles. Several of the boards split when they were nailed in place, which looks terrible and is unacceptable. The gate was never completed and is missing end boards. The top of the gate has cuts from a saw almost halfway through the board and was just left as is. The gate does not line up with the end post so it doesn't close properly. There were many other problems with this project but that is enough to illustrate the poor quality of his work. His craftsmanship was so poor and his ability to communicate was even worse. Numerous very polite requests were made of him to help with finishing the fence. He made numerous commitments on different days but never showed. He always had an excuse. Ultimately, he just ignored all communications. I strongly recommend using a different contractor. The quality of his work is poor and he is unreliable.
