However, when I spoke with Hector he was able to assure me that he has been in business for years and has never had such a review. Hector and his hardworking crew started the driveway expansion job as scheduled and complied with our HOA requirements by digging everything by hand, keeping equipment off common areas, and waiting one day for the HOA irrigation crew to reroute pipes and sprinklers before the truck arrived to pour the concrete. Our job required removing sidewalk, excavating dirt, adding crushed stone and tamping, adding wire mesh and 4" cement. In addition, Hector drilled into our existing driveway and added rebar to help make sure that the joints do not shift over time. Hector and his crew also put an attractive brushed finish and hand-trowel border that looks great. I wish all my contractors were as responsive and professional as Hector and his crew.

After being told by Atlantic Concrete that he needed to remove and redo our driveway (exposed aggregate), he disappeared. After filing a BBB claim twice, he never responded. He appeared once at the house, claimed the builder never paid him and said he wanted to help get everything resolved and clear his name and reputation but disappeared again. Beware of doing business with Hector from Romanis Concrete - he does not stand behind his work.

I contacted SS for an estimate to clean the windows on my house. The estimate I received started…read morewith a quote for house washing which I had not asked for. It then provided 3 prices for different levels of window cleaning. That section was followed by a proposal for a 2 year proposal for a visit each year which included a range of services including window washing. This was followed by a 2 year, 2 visit proposal. When I sought clarification on the 2 year, 1 visit proposal they responded with information about the window cleaning levels that did not address my specific question. When I followed up to get my question answered they noted that the multi-year agreement was not relevant to the window washing only. They did offer a discount on the window washing because of the confusion. Further correspondence revealed that the discount only comes on subsequent services and they offered to prepare a proposal detailing all of this. Then I learned that they would not provide the proposal until I had scheduled (and received?) the first year service. At that point, the red flag was up and I responded that I was not going to hire them because the process and information had been confusing from the start and did not improve. My concern being that any issues with the actual work would result in the same communication problems. Amazingly, they responded and essentially put it back on me....what I couldn't understand..... Never in 40 plus years of providing professional services did I ever tell a potential client that they were the problem.
