Its one of those stores that doesn't seem to have what you want until you start looking for it. The perfume section always reminds me of the Mr Bean sketch where he is overcome by the array of different perfumes being sprayed around and ends up crawling through the section. Its a good store and always worthy of a visit.

I love that the women's section has TopShop, Dorothy Perkins, Warehouse, River Island & etc so I don't have to go running all over the mall to all the different shops dealing with all the different . I also find that if TopShop or the like is out of something I want, I can usually find it inside Debenhams! Its like my own little secret shopping hideaway. My husband enjoys their mens section for the Levi's, Jasper Conran and Ben Sherman. We had the toughest time finding a quality slim fit navy suit that he liked to dress him and 5 groomsmen for our wedding and Debenhams had the right one! It was by Ben Sherman and fit everyone well. They even got a discount for buying in bulk and the alterations were very reasonable as well. I also highly recommend their fragrance area. I love the ability to have so many options at your finger tips and although they can get a bit overwhelming at times, the coffee beans are there to keep the lightheadedness at bay. Parking is convenient if the market is not on as you can pull up right in front of the store. Otherwise, I think the closest place to park would be in the Brewery. I highly recommend this store - It might not look like much from the outside but houses great quality brands and fantastic sales as well.

Unless there…read morehas been a sudden influx of Americans into Ilford, then I am not really sure of the wisdom behind the name change. It seems to me like the name is the only thing that has changed - everything else is pretty much the same as it's always been. The Mall is your typical, run-of-the-mill middle of town shopping centre. It has a Marks & Spencers, it has a Thorntons, it has a few sports shops and it has a food court. That's pretty much all there is to say. The Mall is nothing if not unremarkable. It's pleasant enough; and reasonably clean. If you're in the need of some typical stuff, y'know, like a scarf, a new pair of jeans or a pencil; then this place will probably do the job. I've always found it a bit depressing though; but then I am not one for shops. Let me buy something online and I'll be happy!.

I do recommend stopping by at the Hi-Juice Bar on the 2nd level - GREAT selection of fruit juices and smoothies. They have a 3-level car park and even a car-wash service whilst you shop - perfect for first-time visits to the girlfriend's/boyfriend's parents; a box of Thorntons chocolates and a clean car...you'll have marital approval almost immediately!!!

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE IN A SHOPPING MALL IN THE COUNTRY!!!! LARGELY ACROSS ALL STORES IN THE…read moreSHOPPING CENTRE: Read HOUSE OF FRASER EXPERIENCE BELOW: WESTFIELD SHEPHERDS BUSH & BLUEWATER BETTER My gosh, we have given this place many chances, went a few times in Dec 2010 an Jan 2011, hoping they would have improved since a year between the last visit. As ever the grumpy, unhelpful, staff throughout e, was appalling the rude looks when you try to interrupt conversations of groups of staff having a chat about the weekend or their hair, was a recurrent theme. Worst: !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!HOUSE OF FRASER!!!!!!!!!!!! A lady in the jewellery accessories dept who was busy chatting about her weekend with a colleague leaning against the glass arms folded,, when I went to pay for something from the next section at her till, products from (Crabtree & Evelyn) I asked if I could pay at her till, couldn't believe her response, she said couldn't you find another till? I said no actually they are all deserted see and I showed her all the empty tills around? She then said, oh I can't take any cards at the till anyway. It was unbelievable , how rude she was. In the same store I think it was the towels section, two customer service girls were chatting away not doing any work, whilst we stood there waiting to ask the price on something, they then turned around rolled their eyes and gave a fobbing off type of response. In another section I wanted to buy the last sweater that was on a mannequin the guy with a very unusually deep voice, and dark hair took it off the mannequin then shouted at the poor helpful lad working there, and whispered make sure you put a security tag on it before you hand it to them! I think Bluewater is considerably more upmarket and better than Lakeside, I guess a lot of the Essex locals work at Lakeside and maybe haven't attended any customer service training but BlueWater is so much better, and so Lakeside seems really downmarket not just because of the staff, Essex role model Jordan was in that day, so need I say more? If it wasn't for the bargains I wouldn't have gone, but someone really needs to do more mystery shopping and undercover checks across the place, there is no reason why a bit of good decent customer service can't be achieved. Really should become a mystery shopper, Lakeside is shocking Gonna stick to Westfield & Bluewater in future most probably!

That's a lot of trouble shooting at home, engineer visits, days off and call centre pass arounds without a functioning washer/dryer for your family - only to have very little faith it will last much longer than 3 years (for quite alot of money). The lifespan might not be much more than 3 years. Think carefully if you are happy with this approach. Never asked John Lewis before for a replacement in 20 years. John Lewis passed the buck for machine replacement request to Electrolux on this one. It seems the guarantee action and control is with Electolux rather than John Lewis. Electrolux refused and John Lewis went along with it. John Lewis are acting very close to the line on consumer protection law based on their advertising claims. Karim from customers services was very helpful but could not do any more. Apparently Jennifer from Electrolux stated 2 repair claims in the last year coming up to guarantee end did not merit a replacement and the standard of goods is normal. Take from this what you will.

The store is small offers a limited selection of high-end British gifts. The store felt typical of other stores in the station, it was nice enough with a clock and train times on display on a screen in-store. No travel accessories, food and drink etc like many places nearby. Surely as they own supermarket chain Waitrose having a small fridge would be useful and very easy to do? A nice brand in the station but it's a strange branch by John Lewis standards, with a few missed opportunities. 2*
