From there, you are located near the National Mall, Smithsonian Museums, White House, Washington, Jefferson and Lincoln monuments. Also, near the WW II and the Vietnam Wall memorials. The station is equipped for ADA via elevator near the main entrance and has ramps to the platforms. The elevator may have enough room for 4-5 people or 1 ADA Wheel or electric chair and two others. The trains are nice and clean. Not like other stations in other cities. Price is comparable to other cities dreaming from $2.50 -$6.75 depending the time and stop you are heading too. Use your phone, CC, or Smartcard you can purchase from the Metro. Also, you can plan your trip, purchase and schedules from their website @ https://wmata.com I highly recommend to use the site. Epic escalators! They are about 100' -150' deep before you get to the kiosk stations. Have a fun trip!

Normally it's pretty clean. Once you take the long-ish escalator ride up away from the tracks, you end up in a covered area where the buses are. This area has a tiny Dunkin Donuts if you need a snack or coffee. As you head to the next set of escalators, there is a water feature (not quite a waterfall) that comes down into the station area from the surface. Nice to have a natural sounds in a very urban area. Once you get up onto the surface, you're at the corner of Old Georgetown Rd and Wisconsin Ave near several hotels and a Starbucks (in case Dunks wasn't your cup of tea). Pretty central to a of businesses and restaurants. All in all, this station is convenient and central to downtown Bethesda.

Bus is generally our favorite (convenience, cost, and speed) and we had an excellent experience with Tripper bus this weekend. To and from NYC, our buses were incredibly prompt, clean, fully operational (all power outlets worked), and safely operated. The convenience was incredible and for each leg the bus was right on time. We made it to NYC in well under 4 hrs and it was just a pleasant all around ride. The seats are a bit more cramped than Amtrak, but we rode the basic bus. Compared to Amtrak (which has been delayed every time we've taken it), the bus was easier, cheaper and more convenient.

His attitude was dismissive and unsafe. The way this man drove, I don't even drive like that in my car. I actually had to delete this review and repost after I left the bus. That's how bizarre the whole thing was. I put in two starts because the Admin lady on the phone gave me a partial refund for the first leg of my trip since that trip was cancelled and she gave me that refund in minutes. She was curt but polite and efficient. I'm never taking Tripper or Gunther buses ever again. This is the most expensive greyhound service I've ever been on.

I would end up passing White Flint Metro Station to get to New York Avenue which is now called North Of Massachusetts Avenue/Galludet . When I wasn't working, I would take the Redline and get of at White Flint Metro Station. Walking to White Flint Mall would be one stop. Another would be to Tina's Nails for a massage, manicure and pedicure. She had the best prices for manicure and pedicure. The massage was a bit on the pricy side. There even use to be a Blockbuster Music store near White Flint Metro Station. This store that once held Blockbuster Music has now changed owners so many times, I have lost count. Across from the White Flint Metro Station is a McDonald's . There is staircase going under road to avoid traffic. Redline Metro has had the least amount of problems that I saw when taking the subway. This is not to say I wasn't pissed when the trains malfunctioned and made me late for work many times. Nevertheless, riding the redline from Rockvile to NOMA was almost always fun.

I always research trips and I thought I was informed about my travels. The wmata web site was wrong. On Saturday, Twinbrook was the stop I used when the red line was impacted by single tracking and repairs. On Sunday, I started my trip at Twinbrook since that stop was the solution the day before. The glitches switched locations. I learned that Twinbrook wasn't in service (after swiping my card). A nice customer told me about the changes. I left the platform and asked the station employee for help. He was probably having to repeat himself dozens of times during his shift. But I am one customer, hearing the information for the first time. He was frowning, unpleasant and gave confusing instructions. He was also pointing to the wrong exit. When I asked him to clarify where I needed to go, he was rushing me out of the area, telling me to get on a shuttle that would take me downtown. Where? I am fluent in sarcasm but I would not be disrespectful to a customer. Metro employees should be awesome whether I am paying full fare or $2.00. A nice bus driver told me to walk to the other side of the block. She was kind. I walked back into the station. Another Twinbrook metro employee walked me to the area when I explained that his colleague was needing a time out. I had already traveled two hours by car and was wheeling luggage around. Even when I am tired, I am nice. I took the shuttle to Medical Center from Twinbrook. Two opposite experiences in the same day. The employee at Twinbrook needs retraining. The employee at Medical Center needs a raise and a promotion. Kindness matters.
