Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist working with people in their twenties and thirties on the patterns that keep showing up in dating and relationships. Most of the people I see are dating and worn out by it, coming out of something that ended, or in a relationship that feels stuck. History
Established in 2020.
I earned my MA at The Wright Institute in Berkeley in 2018 and trained clinically at Marina Counseling Center in San Francisco before opening my own practice in 2020. From the start I was drawn to relationship work: the recurring conflict, the distance that creeps in, the trust that needs repairing.
Over time it narrowed. Most of the people I see now are in their twenties and thirties, and the question they bring is some version of why this keeps going the same way. I trained through Level 3 of the Gottman Method and in PACT and EFT. That research is about what makes relationships work, and most of it reaches people only once they are already married. I don't think you should have to wait that long.
The practice is fully online, which lets me work with people in California, Washington, Oregon, Arizona, Texas, Florida and Virginia. The approach has not changed since the beginning: warm and collaborative, and structured enough to actually move.
Meet the Business Owner: Beth P.
I became a therapist because of therapy. I was dating and miserable, and I was sure I was the reason my relationships weren't working out. I couldn't see the patterns I was repeating. Sitting across from someone who could name them changed the direction of my life. It is why I take dating seriously as real, difficult, worth-getting-help-for territory rather than something you should have figured out already.
I'm a Bay Area native, a wife, and a mom. Before becoming a therapist I worked in health and wellness, education and tech, which gave me a feel for the pressures and transitions so many of my clients are facing. I've had my own rounds with self-confidence, relationship dynamics, finding meaning in my career, and as a cancer survivor.
I work best with people who are ready to get curious, dig in and make real changes. My approach is collaborative, active and strength-based, whether you are doing this on your own or alongside a partner.
