Sorry to see this store closed. The couple that ran it was always good to me. Enjoy retirement.

This Hallmark location is my absolute favorite!! There are other Hallmark stores that are close to my home but this is the one I choose because of the lovely couple that works there! I can't say enough about how kind they are. They know every product in that store, but what I love most about them is they treat everyone that comes in there like a friend. They even remember my name and always ask about my 92 yr old mom. All the people they see and they can re-call my name and things about conversations we have had. Wow that is special!! And of course the store always has exactly what I need when looking for a special card or gift. The public has a tendency to complain when things don't go their way but never give accolades when things go right. When I go in the store my day always feels a little better. read more

All I needed was to pick up a missed UPS package and the shop owner was extremely rude. I showed him my missed delivery ticket (logically, you usually have to show similar notices with an ID to verify your identity + the correct package) and he looked at me like I was stupid and said "that doesn't tell me anything". Okay? Then explain exactly what you need because clearly I am here doing everything I thought I was supposed to. Sorry I wasted your time when you had NO customers in the store. read more

I ordered a gift for someone from the Hallmark website. The Hallmark company person I spoke to told me this was my pick up location. So, I went to the location to pick up the gift. I haven't been yelled at like I was at this Hallmark since I was a child. The man who, I suppose, is the owner or co-owner was very upset with me that I had my order delivered there. He said that they do not have things delivered there, as he has to pay the shipping. I just stood there, stunned. It was humiliating and I cannot imagine how this location stays in business. I understand that he is losing money on my purchase, but I had also intended on buying other things while I was there. He stopped that from happening. If he would have just said "hey, next time you order something would you mind shipping it to one of our sister stores?," I would have said great no problem. I will not be returning. read more

I've been in the store exactly twice and both times the older man behind the counter has been so rude. I won't be back.

Went in said hello to the older gentleman at the counter who said hello back went to the card section noticed they were light on girls cards, my daughter turns 18 tomorrow so I'm looking for a happy 18th birthday card so I didn't find one. As I start to leave the older gentleman is next to me and I said looking a little light on cards but thanks he walked by me like I didn't exist. That's fine plenty of stores I can get a reasonably priced birthday card. Don't waste your time here their inventory is light. read more

I have only been there once and will never give them my business. The older gentlemen behind the counter was extremely rude when I was attempting to return a gift. I didn't know that Hallmarks are owned by different people and he was nasty about pointing this out to me. he did not greet me and couldn't take his eyes off his computer or kindly explain why he wouldn't accept my return. read more

Why is this place not closed yet? The owner gets upset when we come into the store with Hallmark coupons. Very rude. We now go out of our way to visit another location. Great location but the worst management read more

On May 7th, my daughter and I visited this location and had a less than pleasant experience. The man who I believe is the owner was on the outside of the register leaning against it watching the door. There was no "hello, how are you? Can I help you find anything?". He did not speak to us until I spoke to him. I walked around the store a few times as the card sections were moved around. Still, we received no offering of assistance. I went to the register and asked where were the Mahogany Mother's Day cards were as I didn't see them. In an unpleasant tone while walking off, he told me that they had them as he'd gone through a few. We got to the section and there were three cards. Mahogany cards usually have a yellow sticker/header that stands out so that you can easily identify them. These had pink tabs with a white circle that had Mahogany written inside blending in the the rest of the cards that had pink headers with white writing. I told him thank you and that I missed these as the headers are different and blend in. He walked off again not saying anything. I told my daughter that it was time to go and we left. When we got outside she asked me if i liked any of the cards because we didn't get anything. I said no baby, that man did not give us good customer service and treat us nicely. We don't have to spend money in those stores when people aren't nice. read more

DO NOT LET YOUR PACKAGES BE SENT HERE! This mania incredibly rude and nasty. We have never had to pick up packages from a third party place and my husband didn't know he couldn't pick up our package without at least having the matching adress(we just moved and got married). So instead of being helpful this mad was passive and mean. So then I called to get information and told him I didn't appreciate his nastiness. He then goes to ask if I was there and said my husband was lying(why would he?!). So I asked to speak to a manager because the way he was talking to me now and how he was handling the situation was unacceptable and he said he was THE OWNER. I told him he needed to change his attitude and he hung up on me! I called back and no answer! So I called jungle Jim's and had them transfer, I asked if I sent the tracking number to my husband would be give it to him, and HE HUNG UP AGAIN! How is someone with such low ratings/reviews still in business?! I get that it's for security which I appreciate, but instead of being an a*hole more information would have been nice! If I could give zero stars I would. EDIT: I contacted UPS to report the fact that despite having all the information I need to get my package, he is still refusing to give it to me or answer any calls I make. Turns out this man has multiple complaints along the same lines as mine! Some are within the month!!!! They will be starting an investigation and hopefully can get rid of this place being an axis for UPS. I am awaiting back to hear back from hallmarks corporate. I have helped run franchise stores in the past(which is what this most likely is) and there is always a higher up despite what this man tells you. He is the owner but there is still someone he answers to. I urge everyone who has similar experiences as mine contact UPS and Hallmark. The more people that do the better understanding they will have on how nasty this man is and hopefully they force this old grumpy man into retirement or something. read more

The owner was very courteous and helpfull! I am NOT able to get out very much, but I am new to the collectable ornaments club- so he took the time to explaining how the crown rewards points worked. It was nice getting out, it has been too hot! But I am GRATEFUL, he was so nice and we will go back to that store!! IT'S in Fairfield, Ohio- next to Jungle Jim's! A good place to shop!!! Thanks to BETH ANN'S HALLMARK!! read more

They will not honor Hallmark Crown Rewards coupons. They have signage that you have to buy something to even get the free offers from Hallmark. Corporate needs to look into this store. Will not shop there or support Hallmark if they don't require this franchise to honor coupons! read more

Very rude. I'm pretty sure unless your old and look like you have money they don't want you in there. The man that acts like he owns the place is a complete jerk. Been to other hallmark stores that were really nice. Stay away from this one and go somewhere else. read more

The elderly gentleman who sits on the counter has no interest in the UPS activity. Once entering the door I was immediately told the package needed to has the label attached and be ready to send. Since I had the label printed, I asked if I could use a few pieces of tape to fix the label on the package. The answer was "No", and the attitude was "not my problem". Not only does this drive away business that might shop at the store for other items, but this is also bad for UPS. This guy is a poster-child for bad customer service. I certainly won't be back to this shop. read more

Very unwelcoming and rude- especially the man. Wouldn't use my coupon from Hallmark because it wouldn't scan. Wouldn't pay attention to me as I tried to show him the number in the small print that could be entered. I didn't post a review the last time I was in this store- hoping it was just a bad day (same unpleasant attitude ) After my experience today this attitude from staff/owner must be the normal for this store . read more

They were not open on time. They will not send ups packages but ups is under the impression they do. When I asked a question about sending packages the manager rolled his eyes. read more

The guy who owns the shop or operates it couldn't have been less friendly I walked into the store I wasn't greeted I don't even think he said goodbye I had to say thank you and have a great day there's never a whole Lotta people in there and as a Star Wars fan I'm really disappointed that this is my local Hallmark and they refused to carry any Star Wars merchandise it's really sad. this store definitely has its made up about what kind of customers they are willing to accept enter at your own risk read more

Let me start by saying that if I could give "ZERO" stars I would. There is a reason why the ratings for this store are so low. I was there today to pick up three cards. The only staff person (an older man) was who later identified himself as the owner. The other reviews address his behavior in relationship to UPS service. Trust me, it's also seen with the customers of HIS own store! His rudeness and lack of positive customer service sends the message that he does not want to serve you as a customer. The tone in his voice is that of rudeness/sharpness and his facial expression and attitude are just as bad. He never said hello when I entered the store (no one else was there and now I know why), and he never came over to ask if he could help me find anything. I was beginning to think that the store was unattended. When I finally figured out where to check out, I asked him if he had any other cards like the one I was looking for. He said there were not and he only boxed cards. Keep in mind that the bins in the "Thank You" card section was almost empty. I asked if he would be getting more in. He looked at me and in a rude voice said, "Yeah when Hallmark gets them". I didn't respond. Just waited for him to ring me up. He keeps the credit card machine close to him so he takes your card. He kept hitting the machine as though he was responding to questions appearing on the screen. I asked, "Aren't I suppose to approve the amount being charged". He said, "NO!!" then handed me my bag and walked away. I said, "Your customer service is not very good. You don't have to be so rude. I'm going to return these and go somewhere else". He replied, "Good go somewhere else". No eye contact at all. I kept standing there. I repeated, "I'm returning these". He said, "No!". I said, "You have to give me my money back". He said, "No". At that point I pulled out my cell phone and began recording. Only THEN did he come back to the register and begin the process of refunding my money. Then he charged me again instead of refunding me and as a result, he had to refund me double the amount. This IS NOT good customer service! There are other Hallmark stores in this city that do offer good service. It took me having to begin video recording him before he refunded my money. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND AVOID THIS STORE LIKE THE PLAGUE! If he doesn't want to be bothered with customers then he needs to close the store or let someone else run it. Not a good place! read more

I have been there twice and won't go back. The owner was extremely rude. He did not take my coupon, and spoke to me like I was a criminal who printed a counterfeit coupon. (I did not. I received it from another Hallmark.). His attitude was very unpleasant. read more

Evidently the store hours don't mean much. I'm trying to pick up my package and no one is there or answering the phone. Why UPS would work with them is beyond me read more

Dear Beth Ann, I want Disney Frozen Personalized Adventure in Arendelle Book will come back to Hallmark.com. from Lenae' Nichols.

Went to pick up a package left there by UPS. Store opened 15 minutes late. 5 minutes ok. 15? Not cool. Gentleman (who said he's the owner) asked me when the package was delivered. As I was looking in my purse for the UPS delivery tag, I mentioned I'd called on Wednesday to confirm the package was there. The "gentleman" said that doesn't tell him a bloody thing. I voiced my thoughts out loud and said "how rude." He said he needed a picture ID--which I'm going to confirm is actually necessary per UPS policy. After coming back with my package, he asked what my problem was. I said please just give me my package. He said if I were having a bad day I shouldn't take it out on him. WOW! What kind of customer service is this? And this isn't my first negative experience with this man. On a previous visit to "his" store, I was followed around like I was a thief. Had a larger handbag and guess that may me look like a shoplifter. Again, this is not the way to treat customers. I'm a Crown Rewards Member and would suggest you shop another Hallmark location. There's another Hallmark store in Fairfield off Wessel Drive near Kroger on Deis Drive. Also, planning to send a review to Hallmark corporate. They need to get this man in check or revoke his franchisee status because he's damaging their brand. This gentleman doesn't deserve to be the owner of a business so don't help him continue as one. read more

I walked into the store to retrieve a UPS package that was sent to them because they are an Access Point. The owner of this place had the rudest attitude I've experienced in retail customer service. He did not greet us. He was short and snippy with his request and the overall experience was disappointing. I wouldn't recommend this location to anyone. read more

The man at the counter was rude and condescending for absolutely no reason at all. UPS mistakenly informed me that a package was left there for me (wrong apt #) as it is a UPS pickup point. I went there and asked to pick it up and he said he didn't have it. Didn't ask for my name or tracking #, no explanation as to why he knew it wasn't there. I said that I tracked it and UPS said it was left there at 10:49am (it was 6:00pm when I was there). He proceeds to berate me that I didn't know what I was doing. Will NEVER step foot in there again. I was going to buy a Mother's Day card, but forget that! With all the other complaints about him I see on here I can't believe the store is still open. read more

I have been in the store numerous times and have always been greeted with a pleasant hello. The gentleman behind the counter was very helpful in suggesting a couple additional items he thought I might also be interested in that were on sale, which I appreciated. As for picking up UPS packages at the the store... the UPS notice left on the door states in bright yellow highlight "the package will be available after 1pm the following business day", so save yourself a trip and wait until the next day. You can also save yourself time by creating a UPS MY CHOICE account at UPS.com/MyChoice. I now receive advanced notice my package is on it's way. If I'm not going to be home I can use the MY CHOICE account to redirect my package to my office or for the driver to leave at my neighbors, or where ever will be most convenient for me. You can also sign a release for UPS to leave your package at the door but that's risky. Too many porch pirates just waiting to steal it these days. I would rather trust my package to Beth Ann's, than take a chance it will be stolen off my porch. If it is stolen it's my loss so an Access Point like Beth Ann's is ideal and will keep it safe even if I have to wait an extra day. I suppose I could stay home and wait for it, but why? Don't we all have better things to do? read more
