The Read Shop Express (1094MH) refused to give me a very important package. They said it was closed…read morebut I was INSIDE and it was NOT 17h yet, which is the time when the shop is supposed to close on Saturdays. This will cost me a lot of money. They just replied with a typical "yeaah, sorry."

This review is about Post NL generally. My son, who lives in Maastricht, sent for an item from the…read moreUS. It was sent 19 days ago and has been in the Nederlands for 2 weeks. At first it was sent back to the US and finally arrived in a Read shop in an Amsterdam suburb. This was inspite of being correctly addressed My son went to Post nl in Maastricht and was told that he was stupid to order something over the internet and he would never get it ! Rude and disgraceful. I called the Read shop from the UK and the helpful man there confirmed that they had it Since when we have benn trying to get Post nl to send it on the Maastricht but they refuse. Duty of 19.74 is dues in CASH. they do not take credit cards. What year is it, 1960 ? Now they say it is being sent back to the sender due non collection ! They sent it to a collection point 3+ hours away by train from Maastricht and expect it to be picked up and cash handed over when all they needed top do was admit that they screwed up and rectify the problem. I am appalled by their complete lack of customer service and their disrespect for the customer. If I could give them zero starts I would. POST SCRIPT. I have just rung Amsterdam for the umpteenth time this week and the very helpful Ashraf has managed to persuade someone to pick up the parcel and deliver it to Maastricht. So we shall see : 5 stars for the read shop for being helpful and zero for PostNL generally.
