A secure, welcoming lot, conveniently located, quiet, a very friendly check-in, a room with good lighting (fantastic bathroom vanity lighting) and HVAC, CLEAN, a comfy bed, desk and lounge chair, a mini fridge, coffee, hot breakfast - where do I stop? Oh, and fluffy towels... all at a reasonable price. It's not fancy - but it's great for what it is. It'll be the first place I check when I next stay in this area. The best western plus was old fashioned but nice , clean and quiet . My room was clean minus the towels. Staff was friendly and helpful . Breakfast I was very much alright about , now I will say you are severed on the hot bar by Sheila's or Melissa , and they do have a wide variety of milk/ milk alt . They also serve pancakes and and mini waffles . Now everything is plastic wrapped , the bananas had pretty much gone brown, the cream cheese tasted weird ( it was Philly cream cheese ) the apple juice tasted watery . Conveniently located near the interstate (I-69), the Best Western Plus in Anderson is a sufficient accommodation choice with ample parking and courteous staff not too far outside of Muncie (Ball State University). We utilized a meeting room, breakfast, and pool options with our travel group; all were satisfactory. The rooms are in need of an interior design upgrade, but overall, everything was functional and clean, as we'd expect of any hotel. The service was outstanding--our request for extra towels and toiletries was honored immediately by the front desk staff. The hotel and its lobby were clean and everyone with whom we interacted was courteous and polite. A plus one for this location is that it's located in VERY close proximity to a Cracker Barrel restaurant. read more

Stayed two nights during the solar eclipse and had a wonderful stay. We were able to bring our 65 pound dog with us and the room was perfect for him. Floors were laminate wood, perfectly clean for a room for the purpose of having your pet along with you. We were assigned a room near an exit on the ground floor, perfect for taking him out for his necessary duties. They seem to be renovating at this time. If you have a pet, remember to bring plastic bags to pick up their poop. There are some people that don't have the decency to pick up after the pet. This was my first time staying at a Best Western Plus and believe me it won't be the last. Great staff! read more

My family stayed here for three nights and I have nothing but good to say about this establishment. The staff were exceptionally kind and nice and the place was very clean. This is a weird hotel to review. Where to start??!! The Staff: This place is very casual. No one wears uniforms and you never really know who works there and who is just hanging out talking to their friend that works there! It's totally unprofessional and a little strange, but I will say that the people we talked to were all very friendly and talkative. The Room: Bed was clean but the room overall was NOT. It needed a good cleaning!! Windows were dirty, carpet was dirty, huge spider webs behind the curtains and near the a/c. Tons of dust on top of the headboard and I don't think the vacuumed the floor for a while! The bathroom was OK... didn't give me that 'just cleaned' feeling tho. We only had 2 towels in our room when we checked in?! Had to call to get the rest of the towels that were missing! The room was very quiet the whole 5 days we were there. Service: One day we put the "Please Clean" sign on the door and threw all our dirty towels in a pile. We were gone all day and didn't get back until 1am. When we got back the pile was still there and our room hadn't been touched. Had to call the front desk to get towels. Someone brought us new towels but he was talking on his cell phone the whole time. ... Like I said, the staff is very 'casual'. Just don't expect professional service and then you wont have a problem! The Breakfast: Was a nice touch but it wasn't that good. We tried it one morning since it was included, but didn't go back after the first day. Biscuits were pretty good. The make your own waffles look way better than they taste! The guy stocking and cooking the food wasn't in uniform either. It just didn't seem very clean or well done. Location: The location is great. Not much in Anderson (but a lot more than in the even smaller nearby city we were visiting) ........... Cracker Barrel is across the parking lot. Steak N Shake, White Castle and Waffle House are just across the street and Target, Walmart and Hobby Lobby are very close by as well as many other restaurants! The WiFi was free and worked pretty good except each day you have to re-log in to the system which was a pain! All in all this place is OK for the price. It was pretty cheap booking online $81 weekends and $63 weekdays. Pretty cheap. Just don't expect too much! They really need to work on their housekeeping in the rooms and the entire property............ everything is a little dirty and grimy! read more

The staff are great, the hotel is well maintained, the breakfast choices are fresh, the pool has an assistive lift, they really are pet friendly and kid friendly!! It's no wonder the rooms sell out on weekends. The staff take pride in their work as evidenced in their great customer service. The breakfast choices are great, the usual waffle maker, cereal, danishes, bagels and muffins, fresh fruit, yogurt as well as various protein: eggs, ham, sausage. One morning they even had someone making fresh made to order omelets. Their electrical outlets are not yet updated to USB so you will need to bring your cube. I want a refund of my smoking fee. We stayed on 12/22 in room 101 and supposedly there were 2 cigarette butts out the window, but nothing in the room. You claim there is a law that says one can't smoke within 8 feet of a building, but it's 8 ft from a public entrance and you have a trash can with an ash tray 4 ft from the side door by 101. We aren't smokers and your proof doesn't show any smoking in our room. You're understanding of the law is wrong and you're in violation by having a trash can with an ash tray so close to your public entrance. We had to walk passed smokers to get into the building. I have contacted corporate and will get my refund. We didn't smoke in the room, in the yard, anywhere! The folks across thr hall from us smoked, it could've been them! This is wrong that you charged us at 2am and didn't come to our room to verify!! This will also go to the better business bureau and news stations that this is how you run your business. It's wrong to do while people are there and can't prove to you that our room was clean! read more

was there for a week looking to buy/start a new business. front desk was very helpful and polite the whole week. I have never met anyone so nice ( Courtney , Emily, crystal) . room was awesome. housekeeping was horrable (never changed any sheets and I had change missing) Melinda (front desk) was lazy and wasn't fit to be there. the owners r the worst!! never said hi, was always rude. very mean to his loyal and awesome employees (front desk) .what kind of owner has his mom working for him like a slave?? Amy, the front desk staff, made me feel so welcome and comfortable. I viewed a few rooms in the area and decided to stay at best western because of how safe I felt and welcome. She was very personable, knowledgeable, and offered to let me see a room without me even asking. She also mentioned how much the owner's cares for their staff and that she truly enjoyed working there which made me immediately want to stay. She's a very valuable addition to the staff there. I was in town for a funeral and felt very comfortable and safe staying there. She greeted me every time I came and went and it was nice to have found a friend during those difficult days. I try to find the best in stays but this location leaves much to be desired. Poorly staffed and under trained. Common to hear guests and staff complaining. Not surprisingly, no manager was on duty near check out time. Plenty of excuses were given for their "new" managers, who should have been addressing the multitude of issues various members of our large group experienced instead of being MIA. Our coffee make produced yellow water with lots of black speck (see picture). Public coffee area was always dirty. Beds were hard. Old/used products were left in the bathroom (see picture of used/old hand cream). Both the pool and gym were out of order. Pool had been out of order when we booked but were not notified. Our large group had booked months ahead and they were not ready for us. They even sent a new guest to an occupied room at 5am. The food on the breakfast was fresh from the freezer (food had to be microwaved to get to an acceptable temp) and their yogurt fridge was empty both days. I paid with a gift card but they had problems processing, so I have a small balance that I can't use, as I have no desire to ever visit a Best Western again. read more

we picked this hotel because it was close to the casino. Not to mention it had a gym and indoor pool. After checking in we find out both the pool and gym are non accessible. The staff was friendly. The shuttle service for the casino was nice. The rooms are all non smoking but I guess your allowed to smoke illegal products there. We constantly had the smell of pot coming into our room. The trip was fun but next time we will find a better hotel. read more

We travel a lot as my wife works in the travel industry. This location has one of the best breakfasts we have encountered. On weekends the omelet station (made to order》is very good along with 4 meats, scrambled eggs, tater tots, french toast , waffles,fruit, cereals, yogurts pastries, juice, milk and coffee. The staff is also very friendly and courteous. Would highly recommend. The hotel is clean and comfortable along with the breakfast makes for a very nice stay. read more

Towels were a staple we had to ask for over and over ....and we had to wait quite a while to get them...they dId straighten our rooms but it seemed like they couldn't keep up....the thing that screamed volumes was they put a round toilet seat on.an oval toilet...This should have been our first sign...it just screams that they don't care....part of the porcelain was sticking out...we stayed her for 4 nights...never again read more

Had double queen room. Clean, dusted, neat. Had large mini fridge that was useful for our soda and fruit. After reading the one review I checked around and did not find any dust or cobwebs and the floor was vacuumed. The only complaint I had was breakfast. I'm sure the problem was that they only had 1 girl working trying to keep up with demand. During our 30 minutes eating countless people were telling her what needed restocked. There was no coffee. After waiting 20 minutes she came out with 2 dispensers and took the 3rd back. After 5 minutes the coffee was gone and we left before it was replaced. Again, I think she was just needing help. Only fruit was apples and oranges. No bananas, melon, pineapple, nothing else. No granola with yogurt. No gravy with biscuits. Eggs and potatoes had zero seasoning. I mention this because every other hotel breakfast we've had included these and we were expecting them. If my review on breakfast doesn't matter to you, I would give 5 stars. read more

We will not be back! We found hair all kinds, black specs that look like they could be bedbugs eggs. We also found other things that should never be on your sheets including stains on the blankets. If we weren't so tired we would've drove straight home. They offered us a room across the hall however I did not trust it so I had to make the bed myself with clean sheets. The pool and hot tub were also shut down because The water was way too cloudy posting a health hazard. This hotel should've offered us our money back and a free stay. What they did do was blame it on The owners. We do not feel like we were taking care of considering I did not sleep the rest of the night worrying that something would be in my sheets.
