All I can say is it was clean. I'm thankful for that. The manager was rude. Not to mention the fact you couldn't understand half of what he said. But I could have dealt with that if he wasn't rude. Things happen that I was not informed of. Including the fact that my grandchildren who are certified to swim and great swimmers were not allowed down there alone so I could pack the car to leave. They are 13 and 14 and been swimming since they were little babies. And if I had been informed up front when I told him I was going to bring cash hold my card on the room till I got there. I would have just let him use the card but no I had to cough up another hundred dollar bill so he'd have it for incidentals. I guess when he left when I went to get my hundred dollars back out the towels. He he seems satisfied when he returned that I hadn't stolen any. Or anything else. If you said anything I would have told him my towels were at home were a lot better than his towels there. I don't ever plan on going back there again. I only went because they had a pool. And hot breakfast. When it's served at 8:00 and it's taken up at 9:00 there ought to be enough to go around but there wasn't some mornings. I reserved the king bed, spa with balcony for 2 night a Wednesday and Thursday, The room was spacious and clean, Thursday my kids and grandkids come, decided I would take grandkids swimming, no one was down there, there was a 9 month old baby, a 3yr old autistic child, a 9yr old and 11yr plus myself and my daughter and her bf. We swam for almost 2 hours, we didn't leave a mess. I decided i was going to stay another night, so i went to front desk before we went to swim, i informed the desk clerk that we was going to the pool(he seen the kids with me) he was like good good have fun. Then he tells me that i have to come to front desk in am around breakfast time to check out then check back in. That didn't make sense to me at the time but i said OK. So that's what i did, when i came down next am the desk clerk told me that i wasn't allowed to take my company to the pool area cause if hotel was busy and the guest in the rooms wanted to swim there wouldn't be enough space since i took my grandkids in there. For 1 it was early afternoon threw the week, there was hardly anyone there at this time. 2nd of the hotel was that busy i wouldn't have been staying there. 3 we where only in the pool area for 1hr 40 minutes to 2 hours. So next day starting about 4:30 pm a guest had parked the work truck right in front of the window beside the bed. (No big deal usually) every 20 to 30 minutes this trucks alarm goes off. It did that until about 11pm started back up about 4:30 am. To top that off, some young lady's that were staying there was out in the parking lot about 1am blaring music being loud and dancing and twerking against the car and each other until about 3am. Not much sleep with that all night oh did i mention that the toilet ran constantly all day all night until i finally shut the water off to it. My tv didn't work properly it keep freezing up. I ask the front desk clerk if anyone else was having issues with their tv's he says no. And i informed him of the toilet issue. He goes to check on it. Not sure what he did except turned the water on. So listening to a running toilet was the music for the day and evening. Then i notice that 750.00 was withdrawn out of my account. The room was 180/ tax included per night except for the extra night i added once i was there. They had me check out then check back in charged me 350/ pl tax 1 night. I won't stay here again. I think that was a dirty thing for them to have me check out then check right back in so they can charge me more for the room then what I had originally reserved the room for. 170.00 more but yet tv didn't work properly the toilet didn't work properly and I wasn't allowed to have my guest in the pool area. For 350a night I should be allowed to take a couple guest to the pool area. No where on the receipt did it mention the 100 deposit i had to pay. So I probably paid almost 900 for a3 night stay. I'm not usually one to give a bad review on. i really do see the best of people and places. However i have to say something about my stay here. The good things are : it's a basic hotel, everything you need. However, I got hungry and wanted to get something from the vending machine, after getting a few items from the bare machine i realized 2/3 items i received were expired. over a whole year expired. the beds aren't the most comfortable but they'll work for sleeping, The free breakfast was not very good, as far as edible, the "pancakes" that came out of a machine were small and felt like rubber (they also didn't look done) The biscuits and gravy were okay but definitely from a can. Apple juice was watery Not as many options as they said there was at the front desk. The phone in the room did not work and we would have to keep turning a lamp on because it kept turning off by itself and wouldn't turn on. Hot tub was out of order the whole time during our stay and based off other reviews, it seems like it never works. Also it says "hot tub closed until further notice" so it may never be working again. Did not get a chance to use the pool but it looked nice and heated. overall, it's basic but not astonishing. read more

As one person put it you get what you pay for. We unloaded our stuff earlier and things seemed ok about 4pm then as the night grew later my anger set in. This is a non smoking hotel yet if you are near a exit door the smell of smokers reaches into your room making it reak of smoke. I went to tell the girl at the front the smoke problem along with the fact the people above us were stumping on the foor. She said she would call up there which she did and they did not answer. That about aboit an hour ago and an hour later the elephant up their seems to be dancing. Not only that but the drunk lady in the room across from us keep going outside and smoking then slamming her door. You can bet management is going to get a earfull in the morning when I have to wake up at 5am. The room has a fridge, bed, and if you open the bathroom door you basically are smacking into the tub. I am not joking when I say you almost have to step into the tub to close the door behind you. Stay away from this play at all cost even having the 80-90 dollar price....pay some extra and sleep somewhere else. I got a total of 4 hours sleep after putting in headphines. The girl at the front only said if I had known earlier I could have switched rooms. Parents you know once it's late and a pack in play is set up nobody is going to pack that up along with moving a 1 year old with everything else. The worker should have removed the person/people or called the police. read more

This has to be one the worst places I have ever had to stay ! My first few days started off ok ! But after that everything was downhill. This place is to be expected to have bugs if you stay on the 1st floor. I had a flood of ants in the room when i returned from work and I spoke to management about it and after having to speak to them not once but twice ! The management decided to come and see the problem for themselves and then tried to reflect the problem on me saying it was the cause of food being left. I keep all my trash together and the room well kept during all my travels. Even if there were to be a grain of rice on the floor the amount of ants gathered should not have reflected that. Also since he decided to inspect the room other parts of the room were not cleaned or maintained by staff prior to me occupying that room. Once my room was switched going forward my rooming was satisfactory at the moment. I also checked out a few days early and I asked to be refunded the amount of days not used and to release the lift on my credit card for incidentals. I had to go through a whole process with them long story short if you need to stay somewhere go somewhere else this place not it !! read more

Stayed there for the Muncie 70.3 Iron man. They were very accommodating to the racers as they opened thier breakfast bar up at 4:30am so everyone could eat and fuel up before the race. Pool was nice and cool and the towels were clean. We will definitely chose them again next year. read more

I stayed here during a Ball State game, the staff was completely unprofessional. Two out of the three rooms we rented were wrongfully assesed fees. The staff was very rude and not willing to reason. We decided to call the police to come and witness the situation. As we were waiting the person at the front desk came outside to our cars and said to us " You are no longer customers of ours and you have 10 minutes to leave" and told me to "Shut the f*** up" infront of my 8 & 3 year old. They are unethically charging customer's excessive fees and then mistreat you and will not return them. They seem to think that no one will hold them accountable for this read more

Stayed here overnight with my friend to do the Muncie September Triathlon. This place is literally next to Ball State University. Not as shady as I thought either! The hotel is close to the restaurants around town and I felt safe. The room was clean and inviting. The bathroom was a little dingy though. My only complaint were the towels. They looked dirty (it's a good thing we packed our own towels.) Overall it was a good stay. I'd stay here again the next time we do this race. read more

Clean, but our non-smoking room had a hint of previous smoke. Several amenities: iron & ironing board, hair dryer, coffeemaker, heat lamp in bathroom, but I would have traded a few for a refrigerator. (Some rooms have them, so ask if it is important to you.) Bed-making was a little sloppy. My wife thought at first that one had been slept in. No direction sign to office, which was unmarked and a bit hard to find. Has energy-saving light switches (with motion detectors). If you sit still for 15-20 minutes, suddenly the lights go off. No water-saving choice: The only flow in the shower is full-blast. Several items needed attention by maintenance staff, and the clerk seemed a bit indifferent when I reported them. Otherwise, the staff was helpful. There was a good continental breakfast. read more

Great location, but overall experience was awful. The staff at the front desk have never been taught what customer service is and they make you feel like you're an inconvenience when you ask them something. They just give you one word answers and then they turn to work on something else. I even responded, "Um...thanks.....I guess I was done??" Let me first start by saying the staff is very nice. And the breakfast was adequate. After that, I don't really have anything else positive about our stay. Small, very uncomfortable beds, tiny bathroom...as one other reviewer stated, you almost have to step into the tub to close the door. Our room had a strange odor to it, and the floor and bed cover seemed as though they were moist. If in town again, we will not be staying here. read more

I just stayed here for one night while visiting my daughter. It was 80 bucks for one night. Room #214. You get what you pay for. Very small room the cleaning staff do a quick once over before they turn the room over to the next person. There were drawings on the mirror that you should not let your kids see. The tv is analog and has a line down the middle that won't go away. The static is awful and there was nothing they could do. The bathroom is so small you can't move the shower curtain is installed so far into the tub you spend the entire time fighting with it. There are no shelves for your soap the faucet in the sink by the door is installed so far back the water doesn't go into the sink it goes on the counter. You have to have small hands to turn it on. The shelf above it is installed right on top of it. The best part is all of the dust that is hanging from the ceiling. Two rooms next to me were smoking pot when I called the manager he said he knew but hey what can he do. Are you freaking kidding me??? read more

You get a pretty good hotel for a low price. Beds are ok, the pool and hot tub are ok, but everything is exceptionally clean and in good repair. The desk guy is kind of creepy and likes to complain about his job. This place has THE BEST continental breakfast. Where else can you get fresh pancakes at a complimentary breakfast? Stayed one night and won't stay again. They really need to pay more attention to cleaning and disinfecting their rooms. The out dated looks and the shower curtains need to be cleaned better. The staff was helpful in trying to fix the big problem but I still felt uneasy. I had guests rent 3 rooms in June. None of the rooms were clean. 1 the sheets had blood on them. Staff was not very accommodating. Bad experience over all. As a local pastor, I would not use this facility to accommodate my guests. Only gave it 1 star because half a star is not an option. read more

I gave this place two stars for the cleanliness. Everything was very clean. We stayed 9-15-16, not a busy night so I was disappointed in the breakfast offered. I had the orange juice and it tasted rancid. The apple juice was ok. I'm really not going to get into the mess of the breafast, too much wrong with that. They should just have donuts or something instead of the half hearted breakfast. The staff was ok. I preferred the gentleman who spoke little English to the creeper who was behind the desk in the morning. This man talked openly to himself & scared my 20 year old daughter so bad she didn't want to even have breakfast. This place also needs to get with a foam mattress instead of the bed springs we were on. The room also was outfitted with electric saving things like motion sensor lights. Not fun when I'm reading at night. I understand this is a budget hotel,but where are they going with the cigarette burns in EVERYTHING yet it's a no smoking hotel. Because it was so clean I would stay again but not without my husband ,especially if creeper guy is working!! read more
