My brother in law was scammed here is what he said about this company. Please do not rent from this company. They will show the lowest price in town but they will get the rest of the money from your deposit. There are other better options from Getmyboat and Boatsetter These are peer to peer rentals and they all have great reviews. I chose to rent from BVR because of lack of research. Please don't make the same mistake I did; unless you're ok with paying the rental fee plus deposit. Remember your deposit isn't going back to you regardless of what proof you have. I have attached photos of our texts which includes proof against charges. The owner didn't budge which means that his plan is to lure customers with a low rental fee price but make up his money on the withheld deposit. The other plan is he could possibly give his workers a commission fee for setting up customers in order to receive more money from the customers. They have me on camera recording the entire boat before and after return which is why they chose another route to keep my deposit. They thought because I didn't top off the boat with fuel that they can charge me my deposit. I provided proof of the contract that it was returned with the same amount of fuel how I received it as well as a receipt for the fuel. The owner didn't reply after that. They also threw in a missing flag, fire extinguisher, and blemish to the tube to add to the statement of charges. He told me the tube had to have fallen off while driving on the road because it was road rash. Attached is a photo of the tube strapped safely to my truck which is proof against what he said. There is also videos of us using the flag. Nothing was missing; they just wanted to make the withholding of the entire deposit more believable. Regardless I wanted my money back, so I offered to buy him anything that they said were missing as well as take the tube to an upholstery repair company to fix the blemish. He ignored me and said he will not talk to me anymore and to email him. He does this because he knows that even if he doesn't scam his customers the majority of his customers are still going to be one time customers or at the most once a year customers. By him scamming his customers, it is not going to affect him too bad other than doubling up his wallet that year. There are always new prospective customers growing every year. The only way to prevent them from making the same mistake I did will be this review. If you search up BVR on Better Business Bureau you can see they have an F. Please do not rent from BVR! If don't listen to all these negative reviews, literally all of them about a deposit being withheld, and you rent from them anyways then don't waste your time trying to dispute the charge. Not only will they not review your dispute but they will drag on your dispute for weeks; being ignored day after day. You will waste countless hours calling, texting, stressing, and gathering up evidence for proof against charges. And in the end not even a dime returned to you. I personally work with many big companies such as Quinn, Enterprise, H&E, United, Fresno Equipment. So I know how good businesses run and how they should run. But BVR is far from it. If I could give 0 stars, I would! DO NOT RENT FROM THESE CROOKS! We rented the busted ass pontoon boat, the door was hard to open & close, by the end of the day it broke off. Seats was not bolted to the floor & on the way home with the wind, it was all in the middle! "Supposedly" we bent the top cover which we didn't but when I asked for pictures or an email, I get the runaround but still got charged the $500. We didn't put gas because we didn't use much and we over this jankey ass boat! Never again!! Not to mention how dirty this boat was! Seats & floors were so stained! This was the most horrible rental place ever. Tony was rude and did not hold up to his agreement. I rented a Jet Ski that did not sound healthy, along with multiple Bondo patches, scrapes, and beat up. Tony proceeded to tell me it was ok and that it sounds normal. Not to mention the customer in front of me rejected the same Jet Ski. When I went to the office, the Jet ski was hooked up to my truck. When I got the Jet Ski in the water, it only ran 5MPH. When I got to the shore, I immediately called Tony and let him know that the Ski was full of water. He accused me of flipping the ski, even though there was no water in the oil. He told me to bring it back for a refund. Didn't see a refund on my credit card, so called to inquire about it, he then told me he found damages (4 days later) and sent me a bill for damages. What a scam, cheat, and liar. He proclaims to be a Christian. My advice is to go somewhere else and rent. read more

I guess it really depends on the day of when you rent through BVR. Rented last year and had no issues. Rented this last weekend and apparently we were returned it with 1/4 less than what was in it when we got it. We have no issue paying for the the 1/4 tank of gas, but were charged $100 for a 1/4 tank of gas. Pretty ridiculous. read more

This was my first time renting from them. I called them a couple months in advance to reserve a boat for Labor Day weekend. They charged me $400 for the rental but when I called I was told they didn't have me down. I showed my credit card bill fro when I paid and they ended up honoring the reservation. When I picked up the boat, it was not what I saw in the pictures when I rented it. It was a pontoon boat and there were a lot of dents in it, one seat cushion was split open and the Bimini top was broken. We ended being able to use the top because we had a strap that we could use to hold the top up. They also didn't tell me I would be charged an extra $40 because I used my credit card. I was told I had a zero balance before I picked it up. Overall we still had a great time on the lake. BVR on willow and nees, Tony and his staff made getting our boat rental, one of the easiest and comfortable rentals I have ever done. I was nervous also because you hear horror stories about boat,jetski rentals, etc. But Tony was on top of it, i messaged him super late at night not sure if I had the right hitch on my car. He was prompt on getting right back to me and told me what I needed to have Also i was informed to get there early, because it tends to get backed up. We did and it did, lol but they need to check stuff on the boat i appraicated that they did this in front of us, and explained what they we're doing and why. They explained how to drive it ( we knew but every boat is different) the type of gas ( it was full) but if we needed to fill it on the lake or when bringing it back and the safety instructions. Also we had 3 kids going on the boat, and his staff made sure we had all of the correct sizes for life vests for the kids When I went into pay that was super simple, no long drawn out 30 minute contract. The lady who helped me had a great personality and laid back, no little hidden add-ons. I even got to meet Tonys dog's beautiful and sweet. They we're all professional but comfortable they encouraged us to take pictures of the boat for our own piece of mind. Also they asked we have it back by 8 and showed us where to park it. The bonus part, we we're exaughsted came back in at 7:30 I was like ughh we're gunna be stuck there for God knows how long. Nope, We pulled it in parked it i took more pics of where we did and the time (even though he has security cameras everywhere). We left, my deposit was put back on my card within 2 days and a partridge in a pear tree! I'm definitely going back, you can't beat his prices and how long you get the rental for, that rocks! Don't rent from this merchant. When I tried reaching someone to request that a boat be dropped-off nobody ever bothered to respond to my request. They only responded after I tried cancelling. Some customers had reported that they have been charged for damages that they never created. When we asked Tony about the boat inspection process after use, he informed us that we just drop off the boat since the gate is open all day. That was the first red flag. I'd never just drop off a boat because then it would be his word against mine and I had read that some customer were charged over $1000 for damages that already existed when they first rented the boat. Moreover, when Tony finally agreed to cancel our $1,400 order he took the boat off the website so that he could claim that he was unable to rent it. This was so he could build a case for refusing to return our money. This despite the fact that it was an extended weekend and he already had almost all his inventory rented out. We immediately put a stop payment alert on our card, but Tony went around that and placed a recurring charge as if this was some kind of membership. This is illegal and fraudulent, so buyer beware! read more

RENTERS BEWARE. We had booked with this place 3 months in advance with invoice in hand for proof for 2k plus a $500 credit card "authorization" for a 5 day rental. Despite this, they didn't have the pontoon we had booked originally. They attempted to give us an extremely worn down pontoon that was not sea worthy in my opinion, the floor was dry rotted out, seats torn, capt's chair broken and ladder broken off. After some back and forth, they made it right with a different boat for the same price. I thought okay, that's fair. As it turns out, they charged my card $550 and later went to say it was a $2500 rental versus the $2000 my invoice clearly states with a $500 on a credit card for authorization. When we presented them with the invoice as proof, all communication from the owner Tony seized. Beware of their shady business practices. I would've kept using them as I rent a boat every year for out week long lake trips had they refunded my deposit but instead $550 is worth more to them than repeat customers. read more

Tony at Best Value Rental was great! We rented a waverunner for our Bass lake trip and kept it for five days. The rates are reasonable and the option to have them pick up at the lake was appreciated. Everyone we dealt with was kind, professional, and courteous. The waverunner was in great condition. We will rent from this company again and maybe next time we will try a boat! First time renting two sets of Jet Ski. The person who gave the contact was nice but I the owner of the business was totally so unprofessional with his staff. Needs to improve his ethics. Jet ski were not ready one of them did not work. We had been waiting already and hour when they notified us one of the jet ski wasn't. Horr experience with them from the start. awful Jet Skis let me show you. Pretty bit up. I would not give them a good review. When it was time to return them, no one was there to receive the jet skis, when I called them he text me to leave them there. Text me back that i was supposed to have left them inside the boat yard. Big mistake! 2nd thing before the company copies and pastes "wrote a bad review because of damages your party did" (Definitely doesn't know how to respond professionally.) Rented from BVR twice, the first time rented a platoon boat and took weeks to get the deposit back. And yes longer then the 5-10 days. When we showed up early before opening there was only one worker. Took 3 hours to hook up the boat to a truck! The boat was so dirty, found old used dirty female underwear and trash underneath the seats. Ended up giving them the benefit of the doubt and went back. Nope, next boat seats were flying out on the highway, trash hidden in compartments, steering wheel was extremely hard to turn. The lake workers told us not to drive it, so yes paid full price just to "enjoy" it for 4 hours. Then was charged my whole deposit due to 5 scratches, not dents but scratches. We rented two Jet skis from him July 6th -July 9th. We waited HOURS to get them and lost a day ok the lake because he is so disorganized. His check in and check out procedures are slow and disorganized. The equipment worked ok but the Jet skis are older and neglected. This guy charges my card an 800 dollar deposit but now a month later he hasn't responded about returning my money. He says the Jet skis were damaged but rented them out before we even left his yard. Very un professional. Takes long af just to pick up your reservation. Got charge an extra 240 for scuff marks that can be rubbed out with a wet towel. Took two jet skis out. One had a full tank, the other half. I brought it back with one at full tank, and the other at 3/4 full. They still charged me for a missing 1/4 tank. They almost made me late to my own wedding! They were over a half hour late for our limo rental, I gave them the address on 3 different occasions and they still didn't know, in an email they told me it would be $450 cash to the driver the day of and then I had to pay by card over the phone that morning for an additional $150 + $15 charge to run the card. Makes me wonder if they planned it so they could get extra money. The bus was beat up, a bumpy ride, very hot, and they parked on the other side or the building so I had to walk even further in my dress. I will never return to this rental company! We were told we could pick up the boat at 8am. At 8:15 when my family and I were 5 minutes away they called and cancelled! We would definitely rent from this place again. The staff was friendly and very helpful. We don't have a lot of boating experience, but they answered every question we had and responded to all of our text messages promptly. They walked around the boat with us and encourage us to take pictures and had us in and out within 45 min. Also they are big on safety. This is one of the worst places to get a rental. The equipment isn't well taken care of and the people running the business aren't friendly. When we arrived the "workers" were removing a canopy from one boat to place it on a different one for a separate customer but had trouble after they lost the screws. In addition, after waiting for an hour and a half we asked if we would be attended and were responded with a mean "we don't just hand out keys for 10,000 dollar pieces so wait your turn. If you had arrived here at 8am you would've been attended first but you didn't so please wait your turn." To add on to this none of the workers seem to communicate as they were constantly walking around as if they were looking for something rather than filling out paperwork or working on the next customers order. Honestly, don't come to this place if you are trying to enjoy the rest of your day and make sure you take photos of the boat to avoid being scammed out of your deposit. The equipment you see online aren't what they are in actuality so please don't get your hopes up. You're better off renting the equipment from the lake in which you are going to. read more

To whom it may concern I rented on boat on May 15 2021 everything seem great until it was time to get the boat it took forever however charge me double on the deposit so on my way to the lake Tony had his assistant teenager help get everything ready for prior to that he told me he spent all day getting boat ready for me cause it was running told me he had took it to the shop and had everything fix unfortunately that was the case on my way to the lake the trailer fell off the hitch and than when I got to like it wouldn't start however he said I had to put the gear forward and than turn the which it work but everyone know that not how you start a boat however during all that time we got running however when I went to restart the boat it ignited in flames and my family had to jump off the boat my uncle hand caught fire my niece and aunt got hurt jumping and my wife and son are traumatized no longer want to go on a boat however when I let Tony all he care about was his stupid ass boat instead of the well being of my family safety. My mom and my brother and I were scammed this past weekend involving a jet ski rental. We were asked to pay a 500$ deposit on a 330$ jet ski rental. Mind you, I was first asked to pay in cash (WTH?!). The deposit was for damages. We were then asked to take pictures of the jet ski prior to rental in order to prevent the owner from coming back at us with charges. My mom took videos and pictures, all whilst the owner was underneath the jet ski doing god knows what. We then took the jet ski out, with no issues. Other than the fact that one of the 2x4 planks came off of the trailer while we were trying to load the jet ski back on. According to the owner, the trailer was "brand new". We got the 2x4 back on with no problem, and no damage (DONE BY US) to the jet ski. Took it back by the required time. Abided by ALL RULES. And then got a call from the owner the next morning asking for us to come down immediately because there was a hole on one of the skis and that I needed to call my insurance. We get there within a couple of hours, and sure enough there is a small hole (that none of us could see the day of the rental because the owner was below the jet ski the entire time my mother was taking pictures). In addition, the jet ski had been moved to a NEW trailer prior to us reviewing the jet ski for damages. The new trailer was now a double. What kind of reputable company touches the unit prior to allowing the accused party to inspect for damages? I have BEFORE pictures/proof of the scratches on either side of the jet ski that he is now claiming "my party" did. He is now keeping my deposit and may even ask for more money depending on damage cost. I haven't heard from him all day. I looked him up on yelp and his reviews are horrid. Many people claiming that he did the same thing to them. STAY AWAY. The company is now reported to the BBB. My lawyer is aware. Just hope the credit card company doesn't come after you, bud. read more
