My AC was freezing up last year and my house never got cool during the hot days so I decided to call Best HVAC. What a good move by me. Not only did they tune up my AC, they added new air ducts, replaced my thermostat, improved the efficiency of my overall system. Now I'll be cool in the summer and warm in the winter. Meh. That's about the best I can do. Called them for preseason preventative maintenance on my residential AC (four units, four zones) here in the desert of SW Utah. The first appointment was on a Friday in May, before it got really hot. The appointment arrived and no show, no call. Usually that is the death knell for me with a service provider, but I called on the following Monday and got a new time on Tuesday. This time they showed up, and the young fella was courteous, seemed knowledgeable, replaced a few things and was on his way. Fast forward a month, and one zone (west side of the house, the hot side) didn't seem to be cooling in the hot weather. Called and asked for a follow up. Appointment arrives, and guess what? No show. They did call three hours later to ask if the tech came out. No. Then a fella comes out that I believe is the owner. He spent most of his time telling me how stupid I was to have a brown house in the desert, how it keeps in so much heat and that was my problem. (We live in the Kayenta area of Ivins, UT. The HOA only allows four house colors, all shades of brown). Told me I was "keeping up with the neighbors" and that he doesn't do that. OK. To his credit, he did see a condensate pipe that wasn't draining properly and fixed that. Charged me $79 for a service call and was on his way. HVAC isn't rocket science, and there is no shortage of service providers. I'm not desperate enough to call a company that misses appointments and then sends out some elderly dude to lecture me on lifestyle choices. I don't think I'll use them again. read more

This was a terrible experience. They did not show up on time for appointments, quoted me a price, then after the job was done decided it was $1300 more. The tech called the office and verified I was quoted the lower price, but did not stand by it. They lied about multiple aspects of the installation and service. Tech was not familiar with the mini-split they installed, and did not install it properly for a snow area (Cedar City). I've since had other contractors at the house comment that it should be up off the ground. They were dishonest and unethical. Terrible customer service; did not return calls for weeks after multiple messages and emails. read more

We had Best HVAC install a new air conditioner and furnace right after Labor Day. We came to Ivins for the holiday and discovered our air conditioning system was out. Tim came out within hours of our call. He made sure to try to fix the problem before discussing a new system even though I was ready to jump to the new system because of its age. We received a reasonable bid and no one tried to oversell. They worked hard despite the parts shortage caused by the pandemic to ensure they could install the system on Tuesday. The installation was timely, the workers knew what they were doing and were very pleasant to work with. When I needed help on setting up WiFi the tech called me ASAP.Tim made sure I understood the system, changing air filters and other important information. My home warranty company sent Best HVAC to fix my A/C last summer (2019) and I was extremely disappointed with this company. I am only giving them 1 star because there isn't a lower choice, and because they eventually got the A/C going again. I was without A/C for a couple of weeks in 100+ degree weather and it was absolutely miserable. Best ordered the part my A/C needed by snail mail instead of having it over-nighted, or even 2 day shipping. When the part FINALLY came in they called to schedule a day to come and fix it. I used the ONLY day of PTO that I had accrued at work and they called me that day well after they should have been there to tell me the technician had called in sick and they would have to reschedule. Ridiculous!! They eventually got there to fix it but offered me nothing for the HUGE inconvenience. I ended up replacing my A/C this summer as it had multiple problems that should have been diagnosed by Best (Don't they mean Worst?!) last summer. I used Arctic Air of Southern Utah and could not be happier with their service. I highly recommend Arctic Air. They were super reliable, always on time, and replaced my A/C quickly (came out 1st time on Friday and replaced everything Monday) They also provided me with 2 portable A/C units to use over the weekend so that I didn't become sleep deprived or die in the 100+ degree weather. Best HVAC didn't bother to provide me with anything extra like that. In fact, they made me feel extremely unimportant. Long story short, if you are considering using Best HVAC, DON'T!! You will most likely regret it. I would highly recommend Arctic Air of Southern Utah for all your heating/cooling needs. read more

We had these guys replace our 18 year old AC last summer. They did a great job. We had them do a heater check up in the fall as we didn't replace that unit. Our heater went out for a day the weekend before Christmas. It came right back on before they could get there. We had them come out anyway but they couldn't find what had happened. A week later it did it again. They came out within a couple of hours, found the problem, replaced the valve that was sticking and only charged me for the part and labor not for an additional service call. Joshua was the tech that worked on it. He was very pleasant and professional. We like working with Best HVAC! read more

This outfit is a joke, they couldn't figure out the problem, when they finally did Gia said it would be taken care of, well they couldn't pull that off either in a timely manner. Please don't expect Gia to return your phone calls , she's a real POS. Wow, I can not even begin to say how dissatisfied I am with this company. They have very little communication. I was told multiple different dates and when I would call to confirm the day before because I hadn't heard from them they would say they didn't have this or that and would push my appointment. I waited two weeks for them to finish my AC. I'm pretty patient, but you've got to communicate with your customers. One day when I called and asked if my unit was going to be installed and fixed they said no again so I asked why I didn't receive a call, they told me their phones had been down on Friday, mind you I was calling on Tuesday. Then I get a new appointment and finally a confirmation call from them with A voicemail that says if I have an issue I can call them on their number or their shop cell phone. It seems a little odd that they have shop cell phones but still weren't able to give customers calls back to confirm or let them know appointments wouldn't be happening. The repairman were nice. They didn't have all the parts so they had to leave go to the shop and come back. I find that incredibly frustrating. If you're coming out to do an install have all the parts you'll need. I had to use them because I'm in an apartment but if you have a choice avoid this place like your life depends on it read more

I've been trying to resolve problems with installation of a ductless mini-split for the past 4 1/2 months. First, they charged $1000 more than their bid. They finally agreed to a partial refund, but their check bounced and they have not responded regarding that. Second, they have not adequately answered questions I had about installation in a snow area, so I asked several other companies for second opinions and they all agree that this installation was done incorrectly including electrical that is not to code. I will have to have someone else come in and fix the work done by Best HVAC. All along the way, they do not respond to calls, emails, or voicemails. Can't seem to get a response about anything! Best HVAC? "WORST HVAC" is a more fitting name for this company. We are very unhappy with Best HVAC. We paid them $1025 + $125 three times, for a total of $3450 less than a year ago to replace 3 systems through American Home Shield, our home warranty company. One of the units did not function properly from day one and we believe it will damage the other two new units. We have phone records of the frequent and numerous contacts we attempted last summer and again this year with absolutely no resolution of the issues.  We are disappointed with their excuses, stall and delay tactics, including the most recent response that they "are so busy installing units for others that [they] cannot address the issues (with the failing unit they installed less than a year ago) for another month". This response coupled with their behavior is altogether unprofessional and unacceptable.  We will contact our attorney on Monday, along with filing formal complaints with the home warranty company, Better Business Bureau, Attorney General's Consumer Affairs division and all other agencies recommended by our attorney. We are leaving honest feedback online so that other unsuspecting homeowners can protect themselves from this company's shoddy work, failure to respond to phone messages in a timely manner, refusal to honor the one year warranty beginning the day after installation, and the ongoing associated unpleasantness of their repeated excuses, stall and delay tactics, and their absolute refusal to be accountable for their substandard, unsatisfactory work and poor communication. BEST HVAC has consistently blamed LENOX, the home warranty company, and anything or anyone, rather than take responsibility for their inadequate communication, inferior shoddy workmanship, disreputable business practices and ongoing unprofessionalism. read more

Worst customer service ever. 3 weeks in and still no heat. Record low temps. I have to call them to get any info. Excuse after excuse as to why they haven't gotten parts. Please use someone else. Also reported them to the insurance company we used. Hope they never get any work from them again. Amazing they are still in business. read more
