The morning of the start of the project, Alex came to go over the project with my husband to make sure they were both understanding of the work that was to be done. My husband was concerned about a drain pipe next to where the cement would be poured, and was worried about it being damaged during the dirt removal. After the dirt was removed, Alex ran water down the drain to show us that the pipe was undamaged. He listened to my husband and made sure to pour the cement a couple inches from the drain pipe, so there was no chance of any damage. Alex was also very flexible with scheduling. He was able to reschedule the cement pour day on short notice, so that my husband would be home on that day. Alex and his crew arrived on time, which I appreciate. I've had a lot of work done in the past, and it always upsets me when contractors are late. At the end of each workday, the crew cleaned meticulously to ensure the work area was clear of dirt and debris. Alex and his crew were always respectful of our property. These guys installed a retaining wall on my property back in March 2022. They moved a huge mound…read moreof dirt from the side of my lot to the back of my lot. It is about 5 ft tall. They never came back after the wall was completed to back fill in the dirt. Now I have 65 feet along my wall where the dirt was removed that needs to be filled in and a huge 5 ft pile of dirt in my back yard. I contacted John Folk of J3 Masonry and at first he told me his guys made a mistake and didn't fill in the dirt before my garage was installed and now he would have to rent a small equipment that would fit on the side of my house. He told me he would have someone out here "this week" and if not then on the following Monday. Well two weeks went by no one showed up. I called again and he was like "oh I forgot all about that" I'll get someone out there. Again no one showed. I called again and this time he was like "what job is this for?" He said text me your number and I will call with a date. Yep, never called. I have texted and called and now he just ignores me. i would not hire these guys because they got paid from my financing then didn't finish the job. Now I have to take time to sue them in court.
