She is not quipped to work with children and I get it, who wants to deal with kids, but even as an adult the dentist can be a scary place and this doctor and her staff have completely traumatized my poor child. Needless to say we'll be switching to another pediatric dentist, one that perhaps enjoys working with children and doesn't resort to telling a child they are a "bad kid" and "disturbing other kids who are good". I was reluctant to make this post because I was made to feel at the office that it was only my child who has ever behaved this way but after reading some of the other reviews. I know it's not me or my kid, it's definitely this practice and their lack of preparation when it comes to working on children, their lack of empathy, and their lack of a competent staff.

When Dr. Spinazze coded the work performed, he coded it as a "complete examination" - and noted on the bottom of the submission that he only evaluated my lower left jaw. But because of the coding, my insurance declined to pay for my regular dentist's "examination" due to too many exams in a 12 month period. Spoke with insurance company who referred me back to Dr. Spinazze. The Doctor refused to resubmit a claim as he felt that his note of only evaluating the lower left jaw was sufficient. So I now I have to pay, without insurance, a true "examination" - cavities, gum issues, loose or cracked teeth, loose fillings, status of crown, etc. with my regular dentist. Felt very disappointed with service from Dr. Spinazze that he and his office staff would not try to understand or appreciate my dilemma, refused to work with insurance company with the details and essentially "left me standing". I will not return to this practice. Unfortunate, but true. I've even written to my regular dentist to explain and suggest not referring patients to Dr. Spinazze.

Dr. Peter Chung was super gentle and accommodating. My fiancé's teeth gets stained fairly quickly after a cleaning at other places (they said something about his salvia that stains them faster), but so far, his teeth are still clean after Dr. Chung cleaned him. He always asked if I'm comfortable and apologizes before he's about to do something that would be a little painful. The teeth cleaning wasn't as bad. I also had my cavity filled by Dr. Chung. Besides the pain from the numbing needles, everything else was painless. I was petrified with the numbing needles, but that's just me. He's really friendly too. Everything is very clean.
