They were not clear with how our counter would be installed. It was badly cut and badly arranged…read more The son Ryan did a poor job measuring our area for the counter and he never informed us we could use their software to correctly arrange our slabs for our kitchen counter and backsplash so that they would match and look seamless. The slabs do not match and have a poor continuity. One of the seams between the slabs, because of the poor cuts/measurements, is large enough to fit a coin between the two slabs. This particular seam is the backsplash behind my stove so not easily hidden. Their solution, rather than using a new slab, was to just add extra caulk. When we expressed our concerns to the father owner Steve, his response was to tell us they had been in business for years and did the Governor's house years ago. Perhaps they would have done a good job for us if I was the Governor, but instead they did less than adequate work. Also, they did not put the hours for the sink faucets in the place where we wanted them. They did not ask for instruction on where to place the holes, even though we were in the house when they were making them. I had to have them come to our house several times to correctly caulk the seams. The technician did a sort of ok job. But the counters were never installed to our satisfaction. When we voiced our concerns Steve and Ryan simply dismissed us and our concerns. My husban

Daniel gave us some great ideas and the result is even better than our original plan. Working with Sierra Flatworks was very easy. More of an ongoing conversation than we've experienced with some other contractors. The crew gets along very well and it shows in the quality of their work. The results speak for themselves. We've gotten so many compliments from neighbors. One seemed to be in the paver business... he noted how straight the lines were and the overall quality of the project. Will definitely use Sierra Flatworks on our next paver or concrete project.

Alex's shop picked it up at the nearby dealer for a nominal fee and turned it into a beautiful vanity! Everything about my experience with his uncle's business was positive. The secretary up front is delightful. His uncle, the owner, is very sharp. The fabrication area is clean and well lit unlike a lot of their competitors whose shops I visited looking for remnants and estimates. After a year of delays and excuses, the contractor filed for bankruptcy and left us with the footers and framing completed but nothing else. Thankfully, most of the materials were on site with the exception of our lattice tubes. We checked around with several different contractors and felt like they were either trying to price gouge us or didn't have the skill to complete the project at a high level. Then, we contacted Cody at Padgett and Sons. Cody was quick to come out and assess the status of the project and to figure out what materials were needed to complete it. It was clear Cody wanted to make things right for us, so he offered to finish the job at a reasonable cost and was transparent on what the process would entail. We had no hesitation or concern that it wouldn't be completed to the standard we wanted. Even before signing contract, Karan got to work contacting the city to figure out what would be required to get the project completed. Unfortunately, it required cancellation of the existing building permit under the old contractor and applying for a new one. Cody was quick to get the new building plans put together and submitted. Once the plans were approved, Cody sent out a very knowledgeable crew, Bryan and Matt, to finish the job for us. It started with them installing the materials on site and then ordering the missing materials. Once they came in, Bryan and Matt returned to finish the project. By the time the project was done, Bryan and Matt were like old family friends. After the project was complete, Cody and Karan coordinated with the city to have an inspector come out to approve everything. The inspection went smoothly. Our pergola saga started in February 2025. We contracted with Padgett and Sons in April 2026, and the entire job was completed by July 2026. We're blown away with how Cody, Karan, Bryan, and Matt made the time to finish our project. Not just that, they really made sure we were happy with the end result, which we absolutely are! There are a lot of pergola contractors out there but I can tell you from firsthand experience, Padgett and Sons is the real deal. They aren't a fly by night company, and they stand by their work. We can't thank them enough for helping us when we were in a really tough spot. We highly recommend Padgett and Sons to anyone looking for a reliable company to complete their shade structure/pergola project, as they are quality people that deliver beautiful results.
