I have been coming to Best Cuts on and off for many years. I'd guess about 7 now. I have never really had a complaint. If you can explain the hair cut you are looking for or bring a picture, they should be able to do it. I have never really had a bad cut. I don't however trust them to do a good beard trimming. I had one girl do it once for me and gave my an uneven line under my jaw. That disappointment me very much. Other than that I have no complaints. There is a good amount of seating and a coat rack. It is also located in a small shopping center with Lowes, Hallmark, Shoprite and a few other stores so you can do some shopping before or after. The young lady I don't with was very nice. But she seemed to be having a bad day and seemed to be distracted. Didn't really listen to what I was requesting. Told her I just wanted to have the sides brought down on my beard but keep the length. She ended up taking off about 6". Which is definitely not what I liked. She also sliced me pretty good with her clipper which had a dull blade on it and I can feel it. Again she was very nice but I will not be returning to this location. Kind of a crappy way to spend 30 something dollars. Very dissatisfied. I know it's just hair and it will grow back but I take a lot of pride in my beard and now it's super short. I get people are entitled to have bad days but if you're having a bad day where you have to deal with the public, you should probably not come to work. read more

A really nice place with great and friendly employees. They send emails if I've gone too long without a cut. The prices are good and the cut is always just what I want. Usually I just do walk-ins and the wait is never too long. I have noticed a relatively high turnover in the women who work here. This might be a problem if you get attached to having the same person do your hair each time. The quality of employees however is always consistently good, in my opinion. One last thing: since I started going here, I have noticed that I am going increasingly bald. However, I am of the opinion that this is purely coincidental. I went here over a year ago and I asked for a small trim. The lady who cut my hair cut over 6 inches at least. I was extremely sad because I've spent months and years trying to grow it out. I walked out crying. Recently my fiancée went their and he wanted a cut. Well a shave because he's in the navy she barely did anything was extremely uneven. Not very experienced stylists. Good if u need a quick, basic wash and cut. However if you have thick hair, ethnic hair, or crave something different and exciting, don't come here. They can't flat iron too good (I had to demonstrate!) they can't do beach waves, have no idea how to execute a flattering or trendy style... Trust me, unless desperate, find somewhere else to go!!! I used to come here all of the time. I continually would come because the stylists were nice and knowlegable. Then, as the years went on I met with rude and more rude stylists who were not only unhygenic but incredibly unprofessional. I have wasted hundreds of dollars at this place simply because it was convient. Not anymore. They have such a high turn around rate it's frustrating to say the very least. I've heard stylists make homophobic, racists remarks about clients which I think is utterly disgusting. My advice is to simply not go there. Walked in to a pretty empty Best Cuts, was told to sit and they would check me in shortly. 10 minutes later, girls in there continued to sweep the floors and do busy work while I was still now checked in. I needed a last mintute trim and saw a few positive reviews on yelp for this place. Seeing how I didn't have the time to go anywhere else, I gave this place a call. I was told it was about $14 for a cut and they weren't busy at that moment so come on it. I get there about 7 mins later and sign in. I was told that it would be a 20 min wait. Okay, no problem. I end up sitting there for an hour waiting to be called. I'm not so much upset about it being an hour wait.. But if you're so busy... Don't tell me 20 mins. Especially when people are coming in after me and being called back. So at 7:10 I get called back. I tell the stylist that I'd like a trim to get rid of any split ends, and that I need to get it washed ($2 extra) before getting it cut. She tells me " oh no, we aren't doing washes honey, we are too busy for that. " I say okay. I'm not going to push it and I had somewhere to be at 8 pm. So she says she'll take about 1.5 inches off. I'm fine with that. Next thing I know she starts cutting my (dry) wavy hair. Just like that. No spraying it to make it wet since she wasn't going to wash it, nothing. I've never had a stylist do that before, but I figure she knows what she's doing. She took about 5 mins snipping some hair here and there and said I was done. I was speechless. Mind you, before she started cutting my hair another woman got called back for her haircut and she asked to get her hair washed and guess what?? Yep, you guessed it, her stylist said she can get whatever she wanted and took her right back to the sink! So tell me, you guys weren't doing washes cause you were so busy though.. Right?? Back to my haircut.. What was I supposed to say in that moment when she says she's done? My hair was basically the same as when I walked in. She just took the cape off, didn't even show me the back of my head with the mirror, nothing. My 5 year old was there waiting with me this whole time and I wasn't going to make her sit there even longer to make the woman restart and I sure wasn't going to make a scene in front of my daughter either. I said thank you, paid for my haircut (even still gave her a tip) and left the salon. I'm very, very disappointed with my experience at this place. I get that they were busy. I work with customers too and I know how swamped it gets sometimes. But that doesn't mean you withhold the quality from one customer to give it to another. I was still a paying patron, busy or not. This was the worst service at a salon I've had in a really long time. They probably treat the people who are coming in for a whole color and cut session much better since they are spending more money there. So, I guess if that's what you are in need of, sure, go to this place. If you need a trim/regular cut and aren't looking to spend $100+.. then stay far, far, far, far, far, far, far away from this place! read more

I have been going there for a couple years. The last couple times i have not been impressed. The place is dirty, the staff talk about others while patrons are near. I went in today and i was given a man that i have never seen before. I asked a girl if he can do eyebrow wax and she said yea. I wanted a wash and cut and my eyebrows waxed. He took me to his chair, raised the chair and then asked me what i wanted. He acted like he couldn't be bothered. I told him i wanted a very short pixie cut. He then asked me how short. Are you kidding me? I looked at him and unhooked the cape from around my neck and told him i wasn't comfortable with him cutting my hair and walked out. I went to this place twice and got a great haircut both times but when I wanted to set up an appointment for a color, they said I wouldn't need one, to just stop in. So I went back a week later on a Saturday at noon, and was told I really should make an appointment for that, as it takes 2 hours and was turned away (even though I only saw one person waiting). So now I have to wait to get my color done since I can only go on Saturdays. Frustrating. Going to go someplace where I can make an appointment and be sure I will get service. Too bad. I've been going to Best Cuts for years. But then their manager left. I tried a couple of the other techs, they did a good job, but my hours didn't match up to theirs. So I stopped going for about a year. Then mid-March I decided to go back and see who was available.Lucky me! As I entered Ronnie greeted me. I needed a color cut blow dry and wanted to schedule it for about an hour later (after my nail appointment). She was fine with that. So about an hour lated I went back. Ronnie looked up my former color, listened to what I was thinking, and then proceeded to color, cut and blow out my new hair style. All the while she was professional, personable, and a pleasure to be having her working on my hair. I received compliments all over the place, even from strangers. Great cut! Love the color! My original intent was that I'd only go back once in a while; but 6 weeks later my hair had seemed to grow over night- and I wanted a fashioned up trim. So back I went to Best Cuts. Once again Ronnie was there, and became available to me as soon as she finished giving a gentleman a trim. She listened to what I was requesting her to do; then did just that!
