Love this place. Super cute, the people are lovely and accommodating. I have had Faith cut, dye and style my hair twice...and she is just very talented. I love when I can be confident requesting a stylist to "chop some off and make it pretty". It's like that. I swear I walked out looking like a supermodel the first time (err my hair at least) and last week I left as a French girl. She also does amazing color, get your reds done here! read more

Today was my first time in this hair salon but won't be my last! The salon itself was very clean and uniquely decorated. When I called to make an appointment, the person answering the phone was pleasant, professional and very helpful! I was able to obtain an appointment quickly and was thrilled with the quality color, cut & blow out done by Heather! Heather was friendly, knowledgeable and truly skilled in both hair coloring and cutting/styling. I entered the salon with tons of gray and a shaggy overgrown head of hair. I left with a smile on my face & a beautifully colored & styled head of hair. Thank you Heather!! read more

For the people who are distressed even thinking about trimming your long hair like me - I have seen Desiree 2 times in the past year. Twice! I used to get my hair cut maybe once every 3 years, that's how much I dread ridding the dead ends. A comfortable length for me for hair is 3/4 down my back. I don't like short hair on myself, even though I have a quarter shaved head. Family referred me to Salon Rock Paper Scissors and I fell in love. Unlike past experience with different hair salons, Des actually listened to what I wanted. I didn't want more than a couple inches off MAX. I have extremely thick hair, even with a quarter of it gone. She suggested cutting my layers short, up to my shoulders short, but leaving underneath long so it gives the illusion that my hair is still long, but the dead ends are gone. I trust her so much that for once, I listened to coming back a couple times a year and that's a big step for somebody who doesn't enjoy getting their hair trimmed. I am in awe every time I go there. Plus if you're a student you get a discount. A few days ago, I paid $23 for a cut, shampoo/conditioner AND blow dry. 23 dollars!!! On your first visit you get a little doggie bag filled with goodies as well. I recommend this place/Desiree 100%. Fun fact - I moved across the country and when I come back, I make a point to go to her. Nobody else, not even on the west coast! That says something. read more

Salon Rock Paper Scissors - End result - hair still long, but dead ends gone! - Hair Salons Near Me - Mount Holly, New Jersey

I have been going here for about five years and have always had a good experience. Cool vibes, great cuts, great crew. Would recommend!

I want to give Rock Paper Scissors 5 stars because Camille gave me a wonderful haircut and really listened to what I wanted. She took her time and really hit the nail on the head! They offer you something to drink and the atmosphere is comfortable and welcoming. They received three stars because I had to wait 45 minutes PAST my appointment time for Camille to finish with a customer AND I was 10 minutes early to my appointment per their request on their website for first-time customers. Camille did apologize for making me wait, but not until 20 minutes past the appointment time. This is probably a rare occurrence for the salon and I can respect that Camille did not want to compromise the quality of her other customer's hair cut, but it is still unprofessional to make a client wait for almost an hour. read more

This salon is top notch in every way! Five stars does not even do it justice. My family gets their hair cut and colored here regularly but I live in Philadelphia so today was my first appointment. Let me just say, this salon is worth the trip over the bridge! I had my hair done and false eyelashes put on for my wedding at RPS on Sunday and it was a dream! My maid of honor also had her hair styled. Everything was above and beyond. One of the owners, Judy, even opened for us on a Sunday! Omigosh, I could not have been happier with the results. The price was unbelievably fair and our hair and lashes looked divine all day and night! Judy and Hilary rock! read more

Great place! First time today....got a stylist who gave me what I wanted and made it better! I will be back and will recommend to all my friends! Thanks Jackie! read more

Salon Rock Paper Scissors is a refreshing atmosphere in a world of boring chain salons. Not your normal every day decor. Bright and upbeat, with funky decor and excellent choice in music. Staff is absolutely fantastic and listens to every concern, and adds input when needed. Fantastic product knowledge, and plenty of choices of available product if you choose to buy. Overall very pleased with my services and will definitely be returning. read more

Fantastic staff, great color service and always feel at home here. Eclectic and professional

If you're tired of the same old salon vibe, this is your place! I went for the first time last week and loved my experience. I normally really dislike getting my hair cut but salon Rock Paper Scissors made me feel so comfortable. I did not feel judged at all for the overgrown COVID mop on my head and love my fresh new cut. Heather was absolutely awesome and I will definitely return to her but from the time I walked in everyone there was so nice. I highly recommend and am so glad I finally found my spot read more

I love the staff! The vibe in the salon is amazing. I love that they are ready to work with your hair and the random changes. They will listen to you and go that extra mile. They make you feel like family. The end results are amazing! read more

Run! Don't walk! Finally a salon without the pretentious prices and BS you typically have to deal with. Had my hair cut and colored and felt understood about how I wanted it to look. I'll be back and will have already told friends. read more

Stay away from this place,I got perm from Mariah farley she burned my hair bad,and Melanie donoho the part owner of salon refused to give me a refund and said that was not their policy, and they don't have policy rules hanging up in store at all, Melanie was rude, disrespectful over phone, and said what do you want when I called, I am trying to eat supper with my family,I even asked if she give me some product in place of refund and she refused, and I was out 100.00 ,the perm was 90.00 plus Mariah added a 10.00 tip to it, not telling 10.00 was for tip at time. No way to do business once you have had your hair burned from perm Mariah farley left on to long.Mariah farley won't own up to what she did,and at least say I sorry, bad business read more

My best friend got my daughter a gift certificate to this salon for her birthday. I live on the next street over and never even knew it existed. The staff was so amazing and the atmosphere is so unique. I will go back for sure! Desire did a great job on my daughter's hair with blue and purple extensions. A+++ in my opinion. read more

I am new in the area and read the reviews here before I booked. Nice shop, very efficient staff, and the cuts and color of the other clients looked great. I had Desiree color my hair, after a conversation about my hair texture and color. I specifically said that my hair grabbed color and that I usually asked that the color be left on for much less time, or less density on the color level. Exactly what I did NOT want to happen is exactly what did...my hair is almost black. I was not happy, and called the salon the next morning to ask Desiree to call me back to see if anything can be done to lighten it. No return call. I am sad this happened, as I thought I had found a new shop to go to. But even more, I am going to a wedding/family reunion in NYC tomorrow looking like a middle-aged lady with dyed-black hair. read more

Katie totally rocked my socks! I decided to get an undercut and she completely nailed it! I couldn't be happier. This salon is awesome; everyone seems very nice but not that overly fake nice nonsense. If you want a rockin' cut check this place out. I'm going back for sweet hair dye bliss in a week and I can't wait. read more

the bad: perhaps the worst color service and butchered hair i've ever had...and i only wanted a simple trim with long layers --- ended up with a horrible bi-level mess. highlights were orange and beyond brassy when i asked for ash blonde (a refresher of my current highlights). stylist desiree attempted three times and couldnt get it right then covered everything with dark semi perm color. the good: adorable salon with a very friendly receptionist and welcoming, modern vibe. when i complained, owner offered a second visit to fix issues but that ended up being with the same stylist trying to sell further services... not interested in that. i did appreciate the owners efforts. shop seems to cater to multi color fun hair with edgy super short cuts read more

This place is amazing. They give you a lot of personal attention. Camille is my stylist and does amazing color. Enjoy a glass of vino or hot cup of coffee while getting your head rubbed for an excessive amount of time: yes please! Go. Staff is great and the place is just fun! read more

I've been here twice so far and could not be happier with the results each time! First time I went it was just for a wash and blow style- my hair came out incredible! The woman who did my hair was extremely nice and a great conversationalist- I feel terrible for not being able to remember her name... The second time I went was for a root-touchup (my hair is naturally brown, but I had it dyed almost a strawberry blonde), and Katie, my stylist, suggested trying a rich auburn color which I agreed too. It came out so gorgeous, and I received a lot compliments on it! The salon itself is fun with a lot of attitude- everyone seemed to get along really well and there was lots of laughing! All in all, I could not recommend this place enough. read more

I love this place! I don't trust a lot of people with my hair but this place will actually listen to exactly what you say you want without being pushy of any styles or products. They are very knowledgeable and do an amazingly realistic job when dying your hair and will give their Jo eat opinion about it if you need it. read more

I wanted to try somewhere new and a little more cool and this place has really awesome decor. Went to Jackie for a cut, color and highlights. Received a cut I would expect from a stylist in training and the color was the exact opposite of what I asked for. I reiterated several times that I did not want dark hair but she left the color on too long and I got very dark brown hair. Instead of giving me highlights like I asked she decided to give me lowlights that could not be seen. On a side note, Katie the assistant did an amazing job shampooing/massaging my hair. I called back after I got home and had taken a good look at the cut to see if she could at least fix the part of my bang that was hanging an inch longer than the rest but she was too busy. I asked if another stylist could do it and was told they were also too busy. I went to another stylist elsewhere who fixed the botched cut and colored my hair how I wanted it done in the first place. I personally would not risk trying another stylist here if Jackie represents the general level of skill for this salon. read more

RPS is a great salon. I followed Camille from a prior salon, to her house to this cool funky salon. Camille is an expert at color and cuts. My hair can be difficult to work with and she always makes me feel like a better version of myself when I leave. The team works really well together and seems to have a lot of fun while working. If you are tired of your uptight salon, this is the place for you. Highly recommend coloring, up dos highlights and keratin treatments. I even had Camille do my hair for my wedding. read more

After a hideous haircut in Medford, I checked out this place on a recommendation from a friend. I had a good feeling based on the friendliness of the girl who made my appointment, but you never know, right? I should say up-front that I'm pretty picky about my hair and my salon . . . since coming here from Dallas, I've been to a lot of salons. Some really snooty that made me feel like a number, some prissy, some down-to-earth but with questionable skills. After I got my cut, I felt like Goldilocks . . . this place is just right. Kinda hip and edgy, but not pretentious at all. One of the owners, Camille, did my hair. She spent a lot of time talking to me about what I wanted, didn't want, even what she was doing as she was doing it. I walked out with a great cut at a great price ($43), as well as some helpful recommendations on how to do my hair. If you're looking for cookie-cutter or "soccer mom," this is probably not your place. But if you dig a place with some personality and a do that says "you," I would give them a shout. read more

New to area and came here to get my color corrected after several attempts elsewhere. Jackie is beyond amazing. I naturally have jet black hair and she was able to correct my color to be exactly what I wanted which is a beautiful ash blonde color. My hair is healthier it's been in years because she knows how to color without repeated botched attempts. I do use a product she recommended, but she did not push onto me to purchase. I specifically asked what I could use for my hair to stop feeling like dry hay. Reasonable prices on color and other services. Extremely clean environment and have a nice selection of beverages (wines, beer hot and cold drinks) they always have on hand for clients and guests. Husband even noticed the great improvement on my color and hair texture he started coming here too. They give military discounts which is great so he pays a fraction of the men's hair cut. He has tried various barber shops in the area, but he said he's gotten his best haircut here with Jackie. He loves that while getting a haircut he can also have a beer. I have wine when I come. We both love it here. Credit card are accepted. read more
