I've been shopping at the Best Buy in Aberdeen for the past few months while trying to decide on a laptop for college, and every visit has been a great experience. The employees have always been patient, knowledgeable, and willing to answer my questions without making me feel rushed or pressured into buying something. I'd especially like to recognize Var. He was incredibly helpful throughout my recent return and exchange process. He made everything smooth, explained what my options were, and treated me with professionalism and kindness from start to finish. Returns and exchanges can sometimes be stressful, but he made the entire process easy and hassle-free. It's clear that Var genuinely cares about helping customers, and employees like him are a big reason I'll continue shopping at this Best Buy. Both store managers would not do an official complaint. I've been there twice the employee that would not even acknowledge me is still working there. Apple support set up my appointment for my iPhone 16 Pro Max less than a year old to have a system analysis. The two main issues are my battery not keeping a charge and my volume getting lower and lower as I use it. In less than two seconds, she said there's nothing wrong with my battery and then she looks at me says I can't do anything about the volume. She claimed that the only thing I can do is a factory reset. I said I don't want a factory reset cause it erase everything she had me open up the phone. She said you have iCloud don't worry about it. She did not say hey let me back it up. Or would you like to back it up now? At first she said it was gonna take 10 minutes after those 10 minutes turned into over an hour and then when she finally handed me the phone, my phone was is locked. The passcode that I've always been using for years was not working. She handed me a piece of paper with Apple support number again and walked away. I could not open my phone I could not open my phone so I asked the young man that was there with her. I said I need to speak with a manager please. He said no no no no don't worry about it. I will unlock the phone. He finally unlock the phone. Everything was wiped clean my contacts my photos, my notes. Literally everything to include my iCloud storage completely wiped clean. I went back to the store within 24 hours. The same person whose name I believe is Janice or Elise. She has long black hair, Caucasian lady who looks like her life is miserable. She was back at the geek squad desk? I asked to speak with a the store manager she's playing games. What do you mean manager? I said I need to speak with a store manager please. And kept asking me what do you mean tech-support manager, appliance's manager I do t understand. I told her the manager who's over the store. The store manager please. Finally, I noticed who she was talking to because I was standing in the front of the store and I noticed there's a gentleman on his mic while she's on the mic so I figured out that he was the manager. I asked him if there's a place that we can speak about this manner in private he said no. I explained to him my situation. He says well there's nothing that I can do here. I'm gonna contact the office in Fayetteville. They have they are much knowledgeable than I am. I will call you back this week Monday at the latest. I never got a call back so I went back to the store today. I spoke with another store the same chick was at the geek squad desk playing games again what do you mean manager? I said I need to speak with the store manager the person who's over everybody here. I finally spoke with him and told him exactly what had happened. His first name is Edward said I'm gonna look into this sorry this happened. I am going to go ahead and do some investigating and see if there's anything that I can assist you with. I've been in and out of meetings all day long when he finally left me a message. He asked me did I back everything up and I told him I said why you asking me if I packed anything up when the complaint is about the fact that my phone was factory reset and erased everything I was not offered the opportunity to back anything up. He told me to go ahead and call the corporate office. The corporate office is telling me that I needed to file the official complaint at the actual store where happened and they needed to escalate the issue. This was never offered to me after calling corporate several times and explain to them what had happened. Same thing you need to start with the store bottom line that chick is still working at the store playing games with customers being rude no repercussion nothing was done as if I was just nobody and who cares if everything was white clean here it is over a week ago if anything was able to be done it should've been done within the 24 hours that I was there. I would not recommend Best Buy in Aberdeen to anybody. Customer service is absolutely horrible and management would not do the proper thing and let me file an official complaint in writing. I will be making sure to put this on every social media platform that I use because this should not happen the way the elderly lady in front of me was treated should've never happened. I came in and they said that was just a check in time it would take two days to get my computer back and I either had to buy a $179 annual membership or they could charge me ala carte pricing that would be over $200 to remove malware. When I could not get it to synch properly i took them back and ask if they could show me how to get them to work together.I had the chords and the plugins they could have done it right there. Impossible to reach a human via phone...when they do connect you it's to a remote person who won't acknowledge a confirmation number but requires all you personal information. Heather was amazing when it came time to get a new iPhone. She clearly explained the differences. I had tried to buy a phone online and she helped me untangle the set up I tried to do on my own. My landlord bought a new dishwasher from Best Buy last September, it was finally delivered around the end of December after two failed deliveries. It is now over half through February and no one has shown up to install it yet. We've had three appointments with them to install and take away the old one and they have failed to show up each time. Each time they reschedule they give me an eight hour window which is just one more day I'm unable to go anywhere just so they can be a no show again. read more

The absolute worst ever. Ordered a 65" Samson TV was given a week off delivery date between 7 am and 1 pm. Waited patiently No delivery. At 1:15 pm I called to find out where my delivery was And waited over 1 hour to get an answer. "Truck driver did not complete his route" whatever the hell that meant. The next earliest delivery date was 3 1/2 weeks later which conflicted with a scheduled doctors appointment and the nearest after that was another month. I just recently went into to store looking for a laptop. We decided on a laptop, which they didn't have in stock. Sales person said they could have a home delivery. I was ok as long as it was there by a certain day. UPS wouldn't deliver it due to needing a signature. This was brought up at time of sale, no problem per sales person. I call Best Buy to see if they could do anything, which I was told if I had any problems please call and they would help. I got "there is nothing they can do",Return it if you like to. Kinda can't return something when it is still being delivered. I told them, I feel like you are giving me the basic FU, sales person said pretty much. They hung up on me then. Waited 90 minutes with no notification that item was ready and finally went to store at about 10 minutes after 6, which is evidently closing time now due to Covid. Knocked on door to get staff to communicate with me bc phones were already off. Was told they could not give me my item (even though I showed verification that I had already paid for it) because the cash registers were already turned off for the day. I have a Samsung TV with a warranty issue. I was given an exchange number from the insurance company, but am unable to speak to Best Buy on the phone. The hold time are outrageous. I live 45 minutes away, and in this day of technology I should be able to call them on the phone and have a delivery date set to replace my defective Samsung TV, but I cannot get through to anyone. I'm glad I purchased the extended warranty because the TV is less than 3 years old, but the hassle of dealing with Best Buy is making me wish I had gotten my TV elsewhere. read more

My biggest regret in Moore County shopping options is this store. How did Radio Shack go out of business with this place as competition? I would rather buy used electronics from a garage sale than ever patronize this pace again. If you have some time to kill, I encourage you to call. 3 minutes of dealing with the automated system (where you are a hostage with no option than to listen to the information) before you get a live human that transfers you to some payphone that NASA installed on the moon just to see how long someone would listen to it ring. Going into to the store isn't much better. The employees don't know, don't care, and treat people like hostages they become because it's the only electronics option around. Couldn't of had a better experience! I ordered my TV online and it was ready for pick up in 30 mins! I arrived at the store, was told where to go, had my ID and CC validated and then they told me to pull my car up! Everyone was very helpful. I spent about 5 whole minutes in the store! Clearly Best Buy is not concerned with all the 1 star reviews on their site, because they choose to do nothing to improve customer service. After spending over an an hour in the store purchasing a large tv, and everything necessary to have it installed (totaling over $1000.00) we were disappointed to find out that we would have to wait 2 1/2 months for delivery and installation. It is the time of COVID, and we understood that this could not be helped. Anxious that our delivery day was finally approaching, we called the day before to confirm, and were told that no such order existed. After going to the store and confirming the order, we were told that because the delivery location was being changed we would have to reschedule. We were Not changing the delivery location, just confirming that they would not attempt delivery to our mailing address which is a post office box. Tired of reading about this? Imagine adding to this nonsense multiple phone calls adding up to hours of being on hold and not being able to get through to anyone. (Although my 10pm call was finally answered by a lovely young man named "Andrew" at a call center in India) Andrew assured me I would get a call the next day, two hours before my delivery and would note that on my account. I called at 8am to confirm that my delivery was indeed coming, and that they would call me 1 hour before. The very nice associate informed me that because we had made a change to the delivery address, the order was sent to rescheduling and we would not be getting a delivery that day, even though it was showing "items out for deliver". Aaaaaarrrrrgggghhhh! The people I spoke to were all very nice, but incapable of fixing the problem, or getting me to anyone that could fix the problem. I canceled the order. I plan to cancel my tech support with them as well when my plan ends. COVID is hurting businesses everywhere, customer service is more important than ever. This is unacceptable, and I will never shop there again. read more

I have been around the country and everywhere that I was staioned, I always visit the Best Buy in whichever nearby town that I was stationed at. No greetings, upon entry, almost all the sales associates engaging in conversation with each other. I had one turned his back for a prolonged period when I entered. After walking through part of the store, I had a very kind associate that ased me if I needed any help. That person made my day and she was able to help me. For a small time town and mini Best Buy, I'd say the service was great; upon entering I was greeted by a friendly smile. I was looking for a modem and asked for help, the product rep was with another customer but he sent someone in quickly to help me decide on a modem. He was outgoing, knowledgeable and helpful. I needed to do an exchange with no receipt and what could have gone bad actually worked out in my favor once a manager was involved. The entire process was seamless and without issue. When I went to leave I was thanked and was asked if I found what I needed. Also a tip**they do match Amazon (as well as other retailers) if the price is new, prime and in stock. read more

Beware when buying software. If you buy it and it doesn't download, Best Buy will not give you a refund nor will they help you. They simply instruct you to contact the manufacturer of the software. In May 2017 I went to Best Buy to buy a car stereo, The buying and install went great and fast. Two months later the stereo just would not come on. went back to best buy and installer was not in. They told when he would be back. Went back and the installer popped out my radio and within 5 minutes it was fixed. This is my only problem, I never carry cash and I only had $3.00 bucks on me and I gave it to him, He looked at the cash and, Gee now I can get a snack. I've had hit or miss experiences with this location. I'm not sure if the young lady that was the store manager in late 2014 still is over this store, but if you can manage to get first hand customer service though her, then you probably won't be satisfied, she is great, the rest of the staff is another story. Most walk by without a glance, or act as if you're a burden to them, if you ask them for any assistance, although the young man that was an advisor in the gaming section was a great help, when I bought my Xbox One last November. The store is small, which I guess is no one's fault, just seems to make for limited stock, and it seems that what the store says is in stock online actually isn't, and vice versa. Had plans to come up to do some shopping yesterday in town with my fiancée (live a half hour from Aberdeen) and those plans fell through, and I had planned to stop in and pick up an Xbox game that was on sale this week, I checked online and it said this particular location did not have the game, so I decided to just go ahead and have Amazon price match Best Buy, and I ordered it last night, well plans fell through to driving up yesterday, so we decided to drive up to do our shopping today, after work. My fiancée needed to stop in to pick up a flash drive, so I decided to look over in the gaming section, while she looked around herself, and low and behold, there were 2 copies of the game that was listed out of stock. I'll get the game tomorrow anyway with amazon prime shipping, but it still proves my point. Almost worth it to just drive over to the Fayetteville location. read more

The people in the mobile have horrible customer service and are lairs, please be informed of what you want before going to this store. They will lie to you about plans that you can get just to make a commission. The lady that help me has short red hair I think she is the one in charge she assure me the only way to upgrading my phone was to get the next plan and I told her I wanted a 2 year contract she said that was not possible. So she change my plan to sell me the phone. I had waited 2 hours to get help so i agreed but something didn't seem right. Every time I asked her if she was sure she seem to lie. So when I got home I called at&t to ask them if she was right and they told me that was not true. I could do a 2 year contract instead of the next plan. I went back to the store and returned the phone which was another mission. They didn't want to help me because they were not making money out of me and when they finally did help they didn't do it right the first time. I had to call At&T to make sure everything was OK in my account and tell them what they had to do to correct my account which took another 2 hours when they could of done it from the begging. So please go to another store for your mobile phone don't come here unless you want to be lied to and get bad customer service. After telling this story I have heard other people that say they had similar experience and they do not go there. They girls here are not helpful and not looking out for customer service.
