I stay in Pico Rivera but I travel to montebello (15 min away) to get my hair cut from Best Barbers! I honestly think all of the workers are legit! My favorite is Joe and some other lady that cuts sharp hair and honestly might be the best at cutting fades! $15 cuts can't beat it read more

My uncle who is 103 yo has been going to this barbershop for years. I have personally taken him and know which barbers he prefers. Today his caregiver and my disabled cousin, who is also a senior, accompanied him. There is a female hairdresser named Maria, that has a negative attitude. She gets upset, and makes a face if you don't choose her as your barber. I have witnessed this in the past, but ignored it. But what happed today cannot be ignored. When my uncle, my cousin and caregiver entered, my uncle requested his preferred barber. After seeing that my uncle didn't choose her, she looked at him and then told two other barbers, "Aquí, puro cementerio." Translated..."Here, it's a cemetery."I'm appalled that someone would say that when referring to a 103 year old man and a handicapped woman. My uncle heard what this woman said and was he was visibly upset. I went to the barber shop to speak with the owner but he was unavailable. I have yet to hear from him. read more

Took my son to get a haircut today 1/20/25. Supposely they give good haircuts. I could have done a better job, and I don't have experience. Lady by the name of Mauri was rude and a total bitch. I asked her to fix my son's haircut after she cut it and messed it up more herself and in the nicest way possible. And she got mad lol. When she sat her next customer, she said in Spanish thinking I didn't understand. What does he expect for $15 dollars. I forsure didn't tip her ass. I expected a decent haircut. Just had the worst experience at this location. I've been coming to this barber shop for over 9 months. The owner and the bald employee are great barbers but 3 months ago the young employee was rude to me and my gf so I don't get my haircut from him anymore. Today it was him and an old guy so I waited for the old guy to cut my hair and immediately when I told him how I wanted my haircut (1 on the sides, rounded on the back, comb over and part to the side so I can have a line) he told me he can't give me a line and I told him I didn't want him to give me a line just to part my hair and have a natural line. Now the bald employee arrived. The old guy told me ok and began my haircut and when he told me he was done I reminded him I wanted my hair parted to the side so there could be a line. He said okay and went up all the way with the clippers! Now I got upset and told him he messed up I told him that's not how I wanted my haircut and that the bald guy knows exactly how I get my haircut so the old guy got upset told me ok you go talk to him and yelled out "NEXT!" I got off the seat and waited to talk to the bald guy and when he was free I asked him if he can fix it and I was told only by going zero on the sides and losing the sideburns. The old man placed the blame on me and told me he's been cutting hair for over 36 years and said next time I need to show him a picture of how I want my hair cut or to go to my usual barber. Of course I felt insulted and I asked him if that's what he tells all his customers and then I told him I was upset because after I told him specifically what I wanted he went up with the clippers. I didn't like my haircut but I would pay for it if they can promise me my next haircut would be free to fix my haircut. The bald guy said it was ok but the old guy said I needed to pay. The bald guy told the old guy that I didn't need to pay if I didn't like it and so the old guy said okay but that it was going to have to be explained to the owner. As I walked out my gf told me she overheard the old guy say, "all that for $9.00"...I got PISSED and went back inside to tell the old man I wasn't going to get a haircut from him anymore and he told me, "good Cus I don't want to cut your hair anymore!" I told the guy I didn't appreciate what he said earlier. I didn't argue with him to save $9.00 I was mad Cus he didn't give me the hair style I wanted and I told him I would inform the owner of how I got treated. As I walked off I heard him say idgaf. My son's dad took him here yesterday for a hair cut... a Fohawk and it was was TOTAL HORROR CHOP. When he brought him home I was embarrassed for the barber who cut his hair! Patches, lousy line up and the fade was practically a line! My son has been getting hair cuts since he was 2 (now 5) and is more than cooperative. On Saturday 4/20/19 I went into this barber shop to be turned away. I was told after patiently waiting my turn, that because my toddler was being a child and fussing as we approached the chair; "I will not be cutting his hair, we won't be servicing you." The jerk had the nerve to point at a sign that read "we have the right to refuse service to anyone" I never in a million years felt this sign would apply TO A CHILD! I understand toddlers can be difficult which is why I had offered to pay double the charge & was still turned away. The reason I got emotional was the simple fact that I am a female taking my toddler son to get a haircut & was disgracefully turned away in a rude disrespectful tone by a so called barber. I'm grateful I was "kicked out" of this place after reading some of these reviews (I should have read them first) I went down the street, found a true barber that would be able to service a child. She is out of "Color Hair Design" her name is : Yuliana & she treated me and my son with respect. My son didn't EVEN CRY! She was paid double and a generous tip. The weird guy with the curly mustache gave him a chop with an obvious uneven line around his head. It's bad enough I asked for a taper but when I asked if he could blend it, he simply raised the line and couldn't tell how bad it was. Brought 3 kids in for haircuts. We paid one of the barbers for all 3 haircuts + tips and the other got bent out of shape, checked the register, and accused us of not paying/shorting him. The haircuts are 9 bucks each and it's frustrating when you're accused of something that you'd never do. Maybe there's an issue with certain employees pocketing money but it's not professional to accuse or question the customer, especially in front of children. Very annoyed with that. Yet another good visit to "Best Barbers". I recently moved and waited three months until I made a special trip back to this place. It's not longer on my way to work so I had to make a special trip. It was well worth it. I got my hair cut by joe, although all the guys there are great. Just don't let the older guy, who has the station closest to the back door, cut your hair lol. Ok so I needed a hair cut before the weekend and some one told me about this place. It was on my way to school so I gave it a shot. Walked in, two old cats and a younger cat. I kept looking at all 3 barbers trying to figure out who had the best skills. My turn was up and I went with the younger dude thinking he would know what's up. Think his name was Joe had a mustache with the tip twisted. Asked for a taper. He looked at me like oh shit! I asked you know how to do a taper right. He nod and said yea I got you. Ok, trim the top and taper the the back and the sides. WORSE HAIRCUT in my life!! I had to go home and try and fix it myself.. My girl wouldn't stop laughing at me. I had to wear a hat all weekend. Extremely disappointed. Came in and asked for a simple medium fade and told the 1st guy in the entrance military style so he understands not to taper. He said yes no problem. Shortly after sitting me on the chair after his last cut he again addressed how I wanted my hair and turned me away right after because he was "scared" to do the cut.
