The car has very low miles so I did not think a new clutch was needed but had no idea what else it could be. I took it to the local dealer (twice) and they couldn't ID the issue. The first time they flushed/refilled the hydraulic fluid which was pretty dirty. It helped but didn't cure the problem. The next time, they couldn't find the issue but gave me a $6000 estimate for a new clutch. That seemed way out of line so I went to Ft Mitchell Garage. They ran through all the diagnostics and then multiple people drive the car . Finally on one of the drives, Ron experienced the problem . They ended up simply lubricating the gears. The first time was a standard oil change, the second time was getting a full set of new tires with an alignment and balancing and they repaired a broken tire pressure sensor. The alignment was done properly for the first time, probably ever in my 11 year old car, according to the tech. It was so rusted stuck that had to use a torch to heat everything up so it would release. And I just took it to a Toyota dealership less than 1 year ago for an alignment. When I told the staff this they said it looked like it had never been touched. So it seems to me that everyone else (Toyota and firestone) besides Overbeck wanted to stay on schedule, not getting behind, and just did the bare minimum. And let me tell you what- my car drives like it's new again. The third time was 2 days after my tire pressure sensor was replaced- I took it back in to have it looked at becuase the low tire pressure light came back on. They told me the one they replaced was only intermittently working and was therefore defective. So they replaced it for free and sent me on my way. The best part about this? They have a line that they text confirm your appointment, send quotes to, etc. I send a text to this number around 10pm on a Wednesday to try to secure an appointment early the next day. To my surprise, someone wrote back and told me to bring it right in in the morning, no appointment necessary. When I got there, they said "we're dropping everything to get you on your way", And even offered me a loaner car for the day, knowing I had to get to work. I declined because I had the capability to work in their cozy lobby on their wifi network. I feel like I'm truly treated like family here, they even greeted me by name today (which I find impressive since I've only been here three times). I'm so so satisfied. I just happened to come across this place because I got a coupon in the mail for an oil change. I'm so glad I decided to bring my car here. They want to make sure they're doing the best work possible and making sure they have happy clients.

They are a small business and do not offer payment plans, so keep that in mind if you have a larger issue and are living pay-check-to-paycheck. Had them replace my sway bar a couple years ago, and had no problems with it since. Price was fair, comparable to what other mechanics were charging (someone else I knew had the same issue about a month prior so I had a good comparison). They also provided transportation home, and to pick up my car when it was finished. My one complaint is that they did miss a small oil leak on inspection, but my car had so many larger leaks and issues at the time that may have eclipsed the issue.
