I've changed my hometown on…read moremy profile 3 times but it didn't make the changes ** I am partial as I have filed a claim against Toronto Matchmakers in Small Claims Court in Toronto. I am a male, 63, and have enough life experience yet I fell into the trap of a dating agency called Toronto Matchmakers in Sep. 2014. Companies that are deceitful use all kinds of tricks, both business and personal, including walking in the tight area between legal and illegal practice, because they exploit peoples feeling of loneliness. This is North America's social problem No 1. Any dating service that promises you service fast and perfect as you can not find yourself is willing to lie. I suggest the following: 1. stay away if you can 2. if you are still determined to go ahead, never pay a penny before you have a chance to see for yourself the quality of service and accuracy and integrity of the service and staff 3. do not sign any document on the spot. Take the documents with you and reread it at your own pace and time. Check BBB, online reviews, and the likes to see if the agency is telling the truth. As of today (6 April 2018) there are 28 complaints on Better Business Bureau (see link below): https://www.bbb.org/kitchener/business-reviews/online-dating-services/toronto-matchmakers-in-north-york-on-1313112/reviews-and-complaints Check my facts. if I am wrong I would apologize in writing. I want to give my rating a minus but the minimum I am allowed is 1 star which is generous in my honest opinion.

Save you money!! Huge Fraud! I paid $3500 for 8 plus 2 bonus "quality" dates…read more The only reason they even got one star was because there was no option for no stars. I had "one" date in total!!. He was nice, older then I was told. After that I received calls from the Customer Service asking me to be more flexible! ? Then they tried to set me up with some guy that "smokes" and I am a non-smoker, then they tried to set me up with another men who was 20 years older then myself! Seriously!! I originally filled out 10 years older only! Then another men with half of my income. I refused to go out on these dates as this is not want I paid for. They then counted them as dates. When I asked to speak with the head office, they kept on giving me the run around and them refused. When I originally signed up, I was told they have "all" these men that fit who i am looking for...In fact they just signed up 2 men that would be a great match for me!! I spent two hours filling out paperwork and answering questions and then when I arrived back home I was sent the same questions to answer and fill out which took another two hours and then was told would take a week to ten days to process. Of course by that time these two perfect (ghost) men were apparently already involved. It is a whole big SCAM!! Honestly, the best advise I was given was to go out and get some professional pictures done and hire someone to help me write a profile about myself and put on on a high end dating site!

I am happy to change this review if the event organizer follows some of the suggestions. the free…read moredate guarantee is indeed a benefit that not many speed dating organizers offer. However I think I would attend these more and encourage my family and friends to attend if 1) It would be nice if they had a more stricter criteria then age for their event audience. I attend speed dating events in the US precisely because they have this sort of vetting criteria (Singles with degree, Singles with graduate degrees, Singles who are vegan etc..). I have already connected with a few people here. 2) I don't drink and attending events at bars makes me uncomfortable because I won buy anything at the venue and I also worry if the person I am talking to is blabbering under the influence or really interested in conversing. There are plenty of restaurants and rven WeWork locations where this sort of event can be hosted. The atmosphere is suitable to all attendees. Please consider this as a constructive feedback. I am not the only reviewer vocalizing these cons. I have also acknowledged your pro. There are many different organizations who do speed dating events nowadays and just like you offer the free return date benefit, it might just be a matter of time before one addresses the above pain points and becomes the go to place for singles.

The speed dating event at Kitchener was quite well organized but they could have fewer people so…read morethat you are not literally squished between 2 dudes while trying to have your 5 min conversation with a girl. I will avoid the Kitchener location in the future because the host is a guy who looks like one of the Property Brothers and the ladies keep trying to make conversation with him during the breaks. He enjoys the attention (I would too). So unless you are an extremely good looking guy, you're out of luck there. Other than that, pretty good and fun event.

SITC - A disease with no cure…read more Reg flags from the outset... They take your money and pretend you don't exist. Make you chase them for days and pump you full of excuses like you're a burden making them bend over backwards to provide a service you already paid a premium for. Once appointment date is suggested, you are left hanging yet again without confirmation within an hour of suggested time so you're forced to chase them yet again. When you finally do get ahold of them they say everything was on schedule but they still couldn't figure out how to find my number on the booking form. As appointment begins, you'd think the logistical nightmare would be over. WRONG! It has only just begun. 10 minutes into appointment, I regretted asking so much time. By the time 30 minutes were up I regretted booking at all. "Coach" was incredibly rude, condescending and dismissive. Jumps to erroneous conclusions projecting her own false stereotypes onto each situation. When you try to clarify and bring discussion back to order, she just yells over to of you. After wasting your valuable appointment time on an irrelevant tirade, she claims she can't hear you any more. My 90-something grandma can hear me just fine. At the same time,  mysterious background noises are coming over the line. The type you hear in a kitchen when plates, cutlery and glassware bang together. You paid for exclusive time during appointment but you were at best the sloppy second. Even after I sent in the appointment agenda with specific areas to talk about, I get "so what's your question for me?" shouted into my ear over and over.  Expecting people to pay while you make dinner with half a brain or less tuned into the conversation, let me define a scam.  Run for your life before you too get infected with this horrible incurable disease.

The…read moreoffice is in a long empty hallway that has nothing registered that shows this is a legit business, nor any licences displayed. Right off the bat you get paired up with a total stranger that claim's she s a relationship consultant (with no real credentials, I asked her for some, she said she had a masters in counselling but failed to even show me a business card let alone a certificate). Then the lady started asking me all kinds of deeply personal questions about my past, the relationships I've had, my employment. Then within 20 minutes, I filled out some questionnaires. I was not even finished with the registration yet and interviewer said "Don't worry about it. We just need your credit card and here are the packages you can buy." And the cheapest prices were well into the thousands to tens of thousands of dollars. I politely stated I needed some time to think about the offers, and the interviewer said "If you walk out, you will never do business with us again," and suddenly got all hostile and bullied me. So I walked out and decided to look at some reviews. I found a situation where they took advantage of a lawyer that was well to do and making 300k a year. They charged her 30k for 5 dates and she only saw 2 men, claiming life mates were terribly slow with their service and that the men were nothing what she requested for. She tried to get her money back and life mates ignored her claiming her 6 months was up (saying "it's 6 months or 5 dates"). She had no time to sue them as she was so busy with her job. After a year had past she was still trying to figure out a way to get her money back. It sounds like this "company" just charges anyone that has a job and takes advantage of the fact that they have money, and are lonely. They use all kinds of schemes like "You might miss your last chance in your life." Or if you are younger they prey on the fact that you have no experience so you better get into the dating scene or you will be left behind... etc. There's always ways for them to scare you. Anyway, I can't believe they are still in business and I have read over 50 reviews now and I still haven't heard of one verifiable success story. The numbers don't lie. Run, and don't look back.
