Curiosity killed the cat! I've always seen Karako brand in several locations so this was not a…read morehaphazard event but it was a plan to see if this brand would fit my wardrobe. Walking in there was no salutations, just a direct sales approach more of a cold contact engagement with no ice breaking. After I informed the person in the front of my desires, she escorted me to a certain section, I passed another salesperson who locked eyes and gave a warmer greeting that made me feel more at ease. I didn't find what I wanted because the fad is skinny pants, I do not wear anything skinny, that's not my style and that's predominantly what this store stocks. The sweater and shirt that I tried were fitting on the smaller size as well. I was informed that they do special orders for a classic fit but the price would be doubled, starting at $350. My personal opinion, the fashion industry should consider that they can't force a person to adapt to the current styles so bring back the styles were all men can have choices and not succumb to a certain fad. There was slight turbulence leaving the store due to the person assisting me asked the sales rep for help with locating my desires by referring me to another company. He said he didn't know but I guess he was thinking on it and passed the information to me and the sales lady rudely interrupted him saying that he told her that he didn't know of any locations. The improvement needed, in my eyes and my plus one's eye were, 1. Don't throw your sales representative under the bus, save the disagreements for the empty store. 2. Don't leave the front unattended, especially when you ask the rep to assist. Well. The search continues!

I to have had experience with custom tailored shirts in the past and while it was an ok experience, my overall experience with AW has been nothing but exceptional. There was an issue with one of my shirts, Alex took care of it period, no questions asked. Was there a long lead time, yes, do mistakes happen, yes they in fact do. But never will you find someone more down to earth and that loves what they do as much as Alex. I got three shirts and I'll be back for more. If you get squeamish about long lead times or hiccups then I suggest you come back to planet earth, because last time I checked no one is perfect. Even you folks that are clearly exempt from being human can and have screwed up in the past, so don't besmirch other peoples reputations for trying to run an otherwise legitimate business with awesome staff and excellent customer service to boot!

Totally hot…read more Alexander West shirts are custom made, like woah. You set up an appointment with this guy Alex, and he measures your stuff out. You look at a bunch of fabric swatches, and he can help you find stuff that would look good on you. Then he orders a sample shirt for you to try on (you can even have him look at the fit). Once you like the fit, you can get all the shirts you want. The shirts are classy, man! As a gentleman of taller but thinner stature, I often have trouble finding shirts that fit my delicate frame. I've gotten many compliments on the ones I got from him. This is an affordable option for gents who don't always find stuff on the rack, and who don't have a strong relationship with a tailor. The website makes me laugh a little, because Alex uses the royal "we"--I'm pretty sure he's the only person running this business. As such, the shirts may take a while (mine came after 10 weeks). But they're custom made, and included in that time is trying out the sample. The best way to see him is to go to the website and make an appointment. He has a location in Tribeca, but he can also just come to your office! If you want, I can "refer" you, so that you save 25% on your first order! Totally worth it.

From what I could tell, this conversation had NOTHING to do w/business but was of a personal nature. The man also made NO effort to help me or noticed that I or anyone else who came in was there. No greeting, no telling anyone to hold on a moment. Nor did anyone else from the store (if anyone was there) come out to help anyone. I saw a pair of shoes that I would have asked about sizes in but with not even a "Hello, how are you?" & yakking on a personal phone call, I'll take my business elsewhere.

Never would i have ever thought I'd find "THE" dress in the hidden gem that is DK Bridal & Tuxedo. I've been to David's Bridal, and a tons of other upscale "top of the line" boutiques, most of which tried to force me into a dress I didn't love or had snobby employees, putting it nicely. Natalie from DK Bridal was super patient and took the time to look at all the pictures i had on my Pinterest lol and most importantly to listen and see my vision. None of these are the actual dress I chose, but suffice to say I tried on a few different dresses and with each one she offered her thoughts, but never in an overbearing or obnoxious manner. She treated me with the same dignity as if she were my family or friend of many years which means the world during this process, so thank you for that. Just as I thought I was settling on a dress, the one of my dreams peaked out from behind others and although it wasn't my size, Natalie helped me try it on with excitement and boom just like that she placed an order for it to come in my size, get the show back on the road and check one more thing off my "To Do List!" Before you buy into the hype of all the huge companies and high end boutiques, visit DK Bridal and share you vision, pictures with them and hey even your love story while your at it... you won't be disappointed with their service or gowns!

Due to religious reasons, my arms needed to be covered and my gown was a sweetheart cut. They patiently allowed me to bring in different bolero options to try on with the dress, until I found the perfect one. Not once did they make me feel like I was a bother, having them retrieve my dress from the basement each time until I paid off my gown in full. Diane was a great consultant and patiently helped me choose the right bolero and crown. To top it off, my husband and I switched our wedding date to an earlier one with my gown already being ordered. Everything worked out with me paying a fair rush fee and receiving the gown well before the wedding. No organization is perfect as the day we scheduled for my pick up, my gown wasn't ready (it wasn't yet steamed). I believe he forgot to write it down but it was ready the next day! This was fine as he did say that I should give myself some time for pick up. My Matron of Honor also got her dress here and we loved it. No complaints. Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely recommend them.

I hate writing bad reviews but I need to warn people before they end up getting ripped off!…read more Idk where to begin with this store. First and foremost, if you are not their own "kind" meaning if you don't understand their language, be prepared to be talking to yourself and of course ripped off! I came here with the intentions of it being a smooth and easy process. I ordered my lehenga since JUNE 29, 2019. I did not receive my outfits until September 3rd. Not only did it come late, everything I had asked & designed for, was not on my outfit. The owner promised to send me sketches of my outfit as it's being made & gave me assurance that I would be apart of the design process, so I put my faith into thinking "wow that's so cool and really great", fast forward to now, I never received any sketches or updates on my outfits and I had to constantly call the owner and the sales associate several times. I did a customized outfit and picked the colors and all, when I got my outfit, the measurements were inaccurate so they had to tailor it more and also the color I chose was a shade off! That is unacceptable when I am paying for a CUSTOM piece. I got ripped off over 1k (I won't put the actual price) but it was well over 1 thousand dollars for my outfit and my fiancé's. The owner never follows up with anything and the sales associate, because of the language barrier, it was impossible to communicate throughly with her. Also they got my fiancé's shoes completely wrong. When I told the owner I'd like a discounted price since it took way too long, colors were off & the shoes weren't right he simply told me "sorry I cannot do that." As a soon to be bride and anyone else looking to purchase from here, please save yourself money and sanity. My experience here was beyond stressful and they didn't care at all. 0 stars if possible!!!! HORRIBLE!!!!!!
