A rural, vegetarian idyll. And amazing value for money. This Farm House, which dates from the 1600s, is owned by Angela and Barrie and you will be their only guests. They have a double room which connects with a twin room, typified by gnarled wooden floors, dark oak beams, an eclectic mix of rural furniture. Also plentiful, large towels, coffee and a selection of teas, and house coats for all guests.
The guest bathroom is off the lounge. It has a bath with shower over, a wealth of creams, tissues and more towels.
You are welcomed with a drink in your own lounge sit by the log burning stove in the inglenook fiireplace and enjoy! Unless you have to eat ealsewhere, be sure to sample Barrie's evening meal. Barrie is a vegetarian chef and his food is delicious. It's so lovely to come back after a day's walking and sightseeing to relax with a beautifully cooked meal. If you like fruit salad, you'll love breakfast. And the scrambled egg was seasoned differently each day.
It's like being the house guests of very attentive hosts. Lovely!
