I have used Berry's septic pumping several times. It is unusual to find a service business as responsive as they are. They come quickly - and when you have septic issues, you want someone as soon as possible - they provide good service, they explain what they are going to do and what they did do, and their charges are reasonable. Their service is impeccable. They arrive when they say they will and do a great job. Although it is hard to get someone to answer the phone. Or to get someone to give a call back. The county land use administration wants to know when the last time my septic was pumped and I have only used Berry's to pump it in the whole 30 odd years I have lived here. I know they haven't been in business that long, but they have pumped my septic at least the last three times. I called to find out if they could tell me when the last time was and I never received a call back. That is not good business, my friends. Once again I need the septic pumped and since they are just down the street and around the corner and do a great job, I will use them. I called to get a copy of my receipt and I believe the owner's wife answered the phone and was very smart and sarcastic, when I inquired about getting a receipt. She informed me it would be a $25 fee for a receipt. No paperwork was given to me at the time of service and now the county needs a receipt that service was performed. I will not use this company again due to the customer service I received nor will I recommend them to anyone else. read more

Called yesterday morning to try and give them business- I am a REALTOR and they were recommended by another REALTOR. The woman answering the phone could not hear me for some reason. She asked if I was on a cell phone and I said yes, but I normally don't have problems with that. I tried spelling my name numerous times and all I could hear in the background was a couple of screaming kids. I tried giving her my name again practically yelling into the phone so she could hear me and she kept getting it wrong, so I told her that I was hanging up and would try calling her back on my home phone. Berry septic did the inspection for my new home purchase. When I called to get more details about their report and about the septic system on my new property, I couldn't get anyone to answer the phone or return my calls. Finally after a week I got someone to answer only to be rudely told that they couldn't remember any details about my property and that I "just needed to read the report." Wow. First of all let's get real --young children do not grow up hoping to be HoneyPot experts. Having said that, understand that Berry's is a small family operated business. They are in the difficult position of too little work to have a large full time staff, & too much work to get things done as quickly as you might like it. i have to disagree w/ a previous reviewer -- the owner's wife is very pleasant, yes there are occasionally small children in the background, but she is as nice as can be. Their prices are fair. They do not charge for things that aren't broken. Most times they have returned my phonecalls w/in 24', but occasionally they haven't. So i just call again. They always get things done in a reasonable time frame. And when i have needed a detailed report or county inspection, i let them know BEFORE hand. As far as being a 'realtor' & being upset, well, i can tell you that there's no one who can get more upset than a 'resident' whose septic is backing up! read more
