I booked a professional deep clean with Berry Clean expecting a move-in-ready home. I saw that they had 4.7 stars and thought they were great. I did notice they had recent bad reviews, and I thought it was maybe a one off chance. Boy was I wrong... The experience was a disaster from start to finish. We paid $925 for a deep cleaning service (including wall cleaning) for a 3 bed / 2.5 bathroom. The cleaning crew initially estimated they'd finish between 1:30 PM and 2:00 PM, but called us at 12:16 PM claiming the job was already complete. When we arrived, the house had barely been touched. In fact, a representative from Berry Clean stopped by during our walk-through and openly agreed with us on-site that the home was visibly dirty. The major issues we ran into: - Filthy floors: Within five minutes of walking barefoot across our newly "cleaned" floors, the bottoms of our feet were pitch black from residual grime. - Greasy kitchen & cabinets: The oven and stove was caked in thick grease. The cabinet shelves, drawers, and trim were coated in dust, leaving me to spend hours scrubbing them the next day. - Stripped paint on range hood (property damage): A cleaner sprayed harsh degreaser onto our stove's exhaust hood, left it unattended for roughly 20 minutes, and completely stripped the paint off the fixture when wiping it down. - Skipped dusting: Baseboards across both floors, closet shelving, and door frames were completely bypassed and left covered in dust. - Gross hygiene violations: Despite asking the crew to wear protective shoe covers, one cleaner walked around in outdoor sneakers and placed her dirty shoes directly on top of our bathroom sink counter to clean the tub. - Wasted time: Because the initial job was abandoned, my husband and I had to derail our entire day, staying until 5:30 PM overseeing a re-clean, and finish the heavy labor ourselves Sunday. When I reached out to management detailing these issues and requesting a refund, I received a dismissive, boilerplate response. Instead of taking accountability, customer service subtly shifted the blame onto us for "taking care of the cleaning yourselves," made excuses about time estimates, and asked for photo proof, completely disregarding the fact that their own representative verified the mess in person. Worst of all, they completely ignored the chemical damage their crew caused to our exhaust hood. If you're looking for a dependable deep clean and responsive management that stands by their work, look elsewhere. read more

Got a deep clean for a 1-bedroom. It was a team of 2 initially, and a 3rd person came later on. The stovetop was miraculously cleaned; it had so much burnt food on it that I thought it wasn't able to be saved. But they cleaned it spotless! The microwave finally got rid of its ever-growing crumbs and stains. And the shower's glass sliding doors? I have never seen them so clear since I've moved in. The team did an amazing job! The apartment has such a nice, clean aura to it, and I felt stress-free cooking in my kitchen afterwards. Some notes for next time: - Moving the blankets from one of the chairs is not needed; they are meant to be there. - Febreeze plug-in was installed upside down in the bathroom, so a lot of the scent oil spilled out. No need to plug this in. - Lego fixture was knocked down; they put it back up, but I can tell it was knocked down because a lot of intentionally loose pieces were scattered. And we're pretty sure we heard these pieces in the vacuum. Next time, I'll move this out of the way and put it... somewhere. - A porcelain miniature on my desk was also knocked down and not put back up. I was scared a piece may have broken off, but it was okay. read more

We really wanted to leave a positive review- Jon was so helpful and the ladies were really sweet. That said, after they left, we actually ended having to do a lot of work to correct things that were left undone. We wanted a deep clean and I specifically asked for help with pantry organization. But they just dusted only the exterior (there were lots of crumbs towards the back) and put things back in a mess, the way they were. The most challenging part for us were the picture frames (not pictured here) of our gallery wall that we took a lot of time to level correctly. Not sure what happened here, but it was completely shaken up and now we have to go to Home Depot and get it fixed. My body scrubber was left near the floor cleaning tools. Things taken out were not kept back. The service was quite expensive so we were expecting better quality. Probably would not rehire. Response to owner's comment below: Hello! As I've clarified several times before, my review was not about pantry organization (despite the miscommunication on this). The issues were regrading the the crumbs in the pantry (if cleaning was happening only around items-which is not at all typical, this should have been communicated to us), the numerous misaligned picture frames, the misplaced bath scrubber that was kept next to the toilet scrubber, among other issues. I sincerely hope this feedback is taken constructively, rather than trying so hard to get a higher rating (as was requested on text). This was my second time using BerryClean. The first, deep clean was great, and this second regular clean did not disappoint. After Much holiday cheer and two additional families with little kids staying with us for several days, the house needed a thorough cleaning. Wow! What a great feeling to get a deep cleaning from very conscientious cleaners. For example, there has been a smudge near my front door handle for like a year. I only notice when I'm leaving my house, not when I'm coming home, so I forget to clean it over and over again. I did not give the berry cleaners any special instructions, and they caught this smudge, and so many other hard-to-notice things. I would pay for the deep clean service twice a year. read more
