We initially waited to start the project for some federal tax rebates which have not been implemented in Massachusetts yet. Unfortunately before they could be implemented the heating system failed completely. Now it was getting cold and we really needed to do something quickly. Justin was amazing and put us at the top of the list as an emergency situation. He really came through for us. The men installed an entire system in 3 days. I can't sing their praises enough. Having no heat with two small children and freezing temperatures in late November is a scary situation.

The motor replacement had been done on their recommendation, as my 14-year-old heat pump was beginning to get loud. I was told that after the repairs I could then get many more years of service out of the heat pump, and paid $1840 for the work. They sent out a service technician to check why it wasn't heating. He determined the freon had leaked out and I'd have to schedule any additional repairs with the office. He also said that he would never have repaired a 14-year-old heat pump and would just have recommended replacing it. There was an $220 service charge for his work. When I called the office they said it could take an additional $1000 to track down the source of the leak, (I had never had a leak previous to their work on the heat pump) and provide new freon. I asked to speak to the manager to see if there was a better solution than paying another $1000, when I had already paid them over $2000 for a repair I had gotten very little value for. The manager called when I was out, but said he would call again in the next two days. I called back at his number and got an answering service where I left a message. I never received another call back from him. Apparently RH Young's customer service ends when the customer's check clears. I went ahead and installed a new heat pump, but not through RH Young.

Call went to voicemail, tldr, a lady called back and was just rude, saying Paul couldn't understand what I was talking about in my voicenote. This is when I should have realized it was going to be a disaster, she asked for my information and said they couldn't find my account. Cut to the point, she tried booking an appointment but didn't have any immediate available times, and said they charge $159 just to diagnose and book the appointment, I tried being reasonable/negotiable and said the price was a little too steep for me (esp seeing how they didn't have any available times immediately and that I had to wait for 2 days). The minute I said "steep", the lady got mad and hung up the call, here's the kicker - she accidentally didn't drop the call fully and I overheard her saying I'm so annoying and complaining about steep fees and I should go somewhere else, and the most shocking part was when she said "they" are now becoming the minority (talking to someone in the background). Wow just wow. I'll let you make out your interpretation of that. I'm trying to make light of the situation - While she basked in her rudeness, I kept the line open and got to hear some terrible humming to Michael Jackson - The way you make me feel. Ultimately, I never expected that statement from you guys. I can confirm you've lost my business, thanks for not having availability because if I knew that's the kind of people you are, I wouldn't want you in my house anyway. Great job!!

I went online and found DeNardo Heating and Cooling. He is a certified contractor with several brands. I called and left message. He called me back in 20 minutes. I explained the situation and he said he would look at it the next day He called me the next morning to confirm my appointment and was promptly at the service address. He was there for less than 20 minutes and showed me the problem. The next day he returned on time and made the required adjustments and repairs. The system is now up and running. I cannot even begin to describe how relieved I am because this is a commercial tenant that had no heat in their business. If you need a new HVAC system or service this is the company you want.. I recently decided to try replacing my very old sink disposal that was making a loud grinding noise. It was at least 30 years old so I wasn't surprised. The repair was surprisingly easy as I used the same brand to replace and the flange is the same after decades so I didn't need to do the hard work of interacting with the sink itself. When I pulled out the old unit, sure enough there was Ken's sticker on it from when he installed it for the prior owners of my home decades earlier! It was so old it didn't have an area code needed. Ken's team also told me about some repairs that could be safely deferred and done with the help of the local town when they did other repairs they are responsible for, which saved me about $1000. Tip: visit the Absolute website as there are usually coupons available to reduce the service charges.

The first one was a leaky radiator pipe in our bedroom which they were able to fix quickly and saved us from having a major problem if the leak continued and or if the pipe outright busted. The technician also noticed a problem with our water tank and gave us suggestions as to how to fix it. I gave him the green light and he was able to do everything in one day which saved time and rescheduling costs. This past week, I asked them to do what was supposedly a quick and easy faucet replacement in a bathroom sink but it turned out to be more complicated than expected. Bryan and very good in explaining everything and getting all the repairs done. So, after using them 3 times and been extremely satisfied with the results, I felt that I needed to upgrade the number of stars to reflect how much I appreciated their time, work, professionalism and helpfulness.
