Food was disgustingly over priced. We waited forever to be served, when we FINALLY got our coffees we asked could we order food and the waiter mumbled something a long the lines of "I'll get someone" as she rushed away from our table as if she didn't want to be seen with us. 20 minutes later we asked another waiter could we order food and she turned her back to us without a word. Thankfully she came back with a writing pad to take our order. We asked another waiter could we get some water for the table, already we were shocked they hadn't brought this to us yet. (Keep in mind this was not a busy restaurant at the time). This waiter told us to get it our selves. The water was not cold, not filtered. No bottles, only plastic cups and of course no ice. After about 30 minutes 2 of 4 meals were served. They waited around 10 minutes for the rest of the tables to get their meals but started eating as their very unappetizing and expensive bacon and eggs were going cold. 15 minutes later my avocado and mushrooms on toast came out. I assumed they must have been waiting for the mushrooms to grow because it is not possible to be that slow for such a basic meal. I got 1 slice of avocado, 1 half of a Turkish bun and the mushrooms. No presentation efforts at all, I thought for $17.50 I would at least have some balsamic drizzled on the side. There was no seasoning at all and no cutlery was given. My friend asked for a side of hollandaise sauce on the side and at 9.30am the waiter said "we probably ran out, what else do you want?" My friend said tomato sauce but that also didn't come. She also only got one ration of bacon. I had to balance my plate on the edge of the table because no one took our empty coffee cups. My friend said the service was unacceptable and the waiter blamed the chef. I have never complained about a restaurant before nor given a review. I love Berry but please avoid eating here at all costs if you want to start your day right and keep your wallet full. read more

Although Jetz itself is nice enough to sit in- with a warm, wooden feel to the decor- my experience of slow, scattered (although friendly) service and a very average meal make it hard to recommend. I had the veggie omlette. The veggies were fresh and chunky, but the eggs a little over-cooked and the basil, the aroma of which was great, sat within the omlette in big whole leaves and became a bit much. It also had no zucchini, contrary to the menu. It came across as clumsy as opposed to rustic. The serving was generous, but for $16.50, I still wouldn't call it good value. read more

You better adjust your expectations on service time when you're in Berry. EVERYTHING IS SLOW. Sllloooooowwwwwwww... relaxed... sloooooooowwww, slow, slow. It's the country. It's slow. No one cares about your harried, hurried, frantic city slicker expectations. Get over yourself. (look, I was VERY hungry OK? the wait was driving me nuts!) We each got some combo of bacon, eggs and veges with toast and there was a french toast served as well. The portions were delicious and plentiful, SO MUCH BACON! I seriously almost didn't finish the bacon. I said almost! Bacon is bacon. It will be eaten. It was a great breakfast.The french toast looked amazing, too. Coffee was not bad. The wait sucked... seriously, it was like 25 - 30 mins in a small cafe and when you're hungry that can make you CRAZY. But to be fair, we stopped for sandwiches on the way down at a cafe across the road and were made to wait about the same time for 3 toasted friggin' sandwiches (!), so to me... it's the country, it's sllloooowww,,, adjust your expectations a little. This was one of the only places open on a Sunday afternoon on our way back from Jervis Bay so we decided to stop and have a bite. I really struggle to write this review because on one hand, there were things I loved (the fresh juices... yum! And the homemade veggie burger patty was a winner.) But then they had to go and ruin the burger by dousing the bread in butter or oil. So much so that my bun was actually soggy (and unnecessarily fattening). The Thai Chicken Salad was interesting as well. It was sort of like Larb, but with pieces of chicken rather than mince. And it had apples... huh? Everyone else agreed- some things hit the mark while others failed miserably. Another friend's burger had the same saturated bun issue and I'm pretty sure the nachos had no cheese- at least I couldn't see any. The fact that the food took 40 minutes to arrive wasn't winning them any points either. But... I did give this three stars- why not just one if it was that bad? Like I said, the juice and the burger patty were really good. The salad was interesting, not bad. My post lunch chai latte was suprisingly good and I liked that the food was different from typical pub or cafe food so if I was driving through again I wouldn't rule it out as a place to eat. No flavour, no charm. Had a very disappointing lunch today. Chose corn fritters and nachos from a fairly limited menu. The food eventually came and it looked like something a uni student would whip up in a sharehouse. Had no flavour, and was plonked on the table without a word from waitstaff. Situated on the main street of Berry, this is a popular and busy stylish cafe. As it was so busy my expectations of my lunch arriving in a timely fashion were low. I was pleasantly surprised, they handled the busy care very well and the foods was not bad either :) Nice and pleasant and a good place for lunch or afternoon tea. read more

Lovely location with the sun shining down on a busy Sunday. But the food doesn't the perfect location. It was fairly pricey for breakfast (in Berry) and it was pretty basic. Eggs and Toast was literally just that. No salt and pepper or butter on the toast. Service was passable considering how busy they were. read more

A very average breakfast. Husbands meal arrived about 10 min before mine-but no cutlery. Had to wait for my meal to arrive, and even then had to ask for cutlery. My order was incorrect, and when I pointed it out, only thing they had to say was it would be about 10 min to fix (to replace toast with Turkish bread) Food was ok-although the advertised thick toast was thinner than average sandwich bread-not sure where the thick part was. Also one piece burned and the other barely toasted. On a good note, the mushrooms were quite tasty. Husband was not asked how the meal was when he paid, and service was overall quite poor read more

We stopped off here for a break from cycling recently and ended up staying longer for lunch. Some nice basic options for lunch like sandwiches and some other things a little more complex. Their coffee is OK but the juices are good with our standard combos (carrot, ginger, etc) and some good watermelon combos I haven't seen before. We would stop here again - plus its open when the Berry Sourdough Bakery & Cafe is closed. read more

Don't go here if you're in a hurry. 30 mins for mushrooms & avocado on toast??!! No cooking even required! And they forgot my side of sausage and had to wait another 10 mins for that. The couple at the table next to us got their meals 20 mins apart from each other. The man had finished his breakfast before the woman even got hers. I guess service isn't a top priority. read more

The food here is average and definitely not worth the incredible wait time. The service was friendly enough but very disorganised. Our drinks order was taken incorrectly and bought our across a 60 minute time frame. Our meals were bought out so inconsistently that most people got their meal while others had either just finished or other meals still hadn't been started by the kitchen. When we complained about meals still to come it was another 20 minute wait til we just decided to leave. The manager was rude and offered no apology or help. read more
