Beef pie with a side of veges $20
Monica H.

The Elephant Boy Cafe is a must visit if you are visiting the pretty little town of Bowral. The cafe itself is very cute with quaint books lining all the walls and cute mini director chairs and tables throughout. The service was impeccable and genuine like you would expect from a country town. I didn't try the coffee but my partner said it was good. I really enjoyed my mango lassi and beef pie. The pastry was cooked to perfection. In fact we loved it so much we came back again today with our friends just for a sit and some more drinks. Im sure we will be back again before we leave. Come here! You won't regret it!

Average service and local cheap takeaway quality food at a premium Bowral cafe price. Not worth it at all.

Nice decor, but mediocre cake, surly service and undrinkable coffee. Only come here if you like watery coffee.

Fantastic spot for lunch in Bowral! At the front you have a grocery store with fresh produce,…read morehealth food, kitchen supplies and more. At the back there's a lovely cafe (with outdoor seating). The food is delicious and they cater to all sorts of dietary requirements. You can sit down for a full meal or just stop for a coffee and cake. Definitely recommend this spot!

Fantastic service on a busy Sunday. This health food store…read morehas a lot more than just quinoa and cous cous. Tucked away behind the shelves is a bustling, busy cafe serving up all manner of organic food, snacks and main meals. The staff here were all super super helpful, and even though it was packed to the rafters on a Freezing Sunday afternoon, our waitress was happy to find us another table for 6 inside, after we had initially set up camp in the chilly outside patio. I browsed the shelves while I waited. They stock everything from Natural crystal deodorant to organic locally sourced meat cuts, and have big range of organic bottled juices. For lunch I had sweet pumpkin tart tartin, which came with a roquette salad. Friends had the FOD ( fish of the day) and the BOD ( burger of the day) and the POD ( pasta of the day) everyone was pretty happy with their meals. There is a big range of wines and even preservative or gluten free beer choices. There is a Kids menu, and even a fur kids menu. Which I loved. If you're in the southern highlands it's well worth fighting someone for a parking spot on a weekend to get some lunch here.
