Got there at around 8:50 this morning and after about 10 minutes the one guy working there finally took my order. There were about 4-5 people in front of me. He then slowly worked through their orders ONE AT A TIME, standing there staring at the blender while it spun. I got my order about 35 minutes later and couldn't even begin to drink it with a straw. Not impressed with this location... I came in midday on a cold Saturday and it was packed, mostly with people waiting for their smoothies, and only 1 employee working. Dirty dishes were stacked high on the counter and the employee was clearly frazzled. It took a few minutes for her to greet me and take an order, and then nearly 15 minutes to actually get my smoothie. Another employee showed up halfway through and the two talked as if no one else had been there all morning to work - seems like poor scheduling for a busy shopping center? There are weird stains and damage to several ceiling tiles and wallpaper peeling around the shop, plus dirty rags sitting around in various locations with halfway cleaned surfaces. Just odd. My smoothie tasted good, but had about an inch of room at the top. For more than $8, I'd have expected a full drink. read more

Service was friendly and helpful, clean atmosphere and no problems with that. But the smoothie tasted somewhat artificial like candy and the pretzels were hard as a rock and dry. Was worried for my teeth lol. Couldn't even eat all of them because some were so hard I couldn't bite through them at all. Also I had to ask for a cheese sauce, it wasn't offered. The owner (or so she claimed she was) came over and looked at the coupon. She rudely told me she was the owner and wasn't going to honor the coupon. Of course I asked why, but seeing as how it was a valid coupon, she just said she didn't like the deal and didn't feel like honoring it. Stood around in the lobby waiting for them to make the second smoothie I ordered for nearly 15 minutes after getting my first one. By the time I got somebody's attention (everyone was in the break room ignoring me) to be like "Hey. I'm not just standing alone here in the lobby for the fun of it. I ordered a second drink?" They we're incredibly snippy and rude. I tried to lighten the mood a bit, and the blue haired employee acted like I was bothering them. No apology. Nothing. Thirty minutes waiting for just two drinks in a mostly empty store. They were supposed to be the same drink, but were different colors. Clearly haphazardly thrown together. The rushed 2nd one made me puke by the time I got home. Absolutely bizarre experience. I get that things are stressful and weird right now? But this was ridiculous. Go elsewhere. read more

I was really excited to try this place out since it's closer to my house than tropical smoothie with a better parking scenario, but ended up pretty disappointed with how watery both my smoothie (the warrior) and acai bowl actually were. My smoothie was yummy but at the bottom of the cup remained some mystery ingredient (perhaps the whey protein?!), which didn't get blended in properly. The acai bowl was tricky to eat because it became soupy pretty quickly. I ended up scooping what I could, then drinking the rest. I don't think I will be back, at least not for a smoothie. I am just going to say it...this place kills it for me in comparison to Jamba Juice. Now, before I get jumped on for that statement, let me clarify by saying I LOVE Jamba Juice, it's just for my particular smoothie choice, which is a strawberry banana smoothie, that Berry Blendz dominates. I will say that the entire set up, decor, sizing, menu and vibe is just like Jamba Juice BUT their service does lack in comparison. Jamba runs like a well oiled machine while Berry Blendz runs like a teenager. No sense of urgency, limited person to person skills and not so great at multi tasking. I try to come in when it's not a rush hour time, so I usually don't wait too long. However, I have come in when there is a line of a few people and it does take foooooorrrreeeevvvver. I have been in twice and have had great smoothies both times. If there are a few customers be prepared to wait a while. It seems like two employees is the standard. My only complaint is customer service. The employees aren't rude, they just would rather talk to each other than ring customers up or make smoothies. I was very pleased with Berry Blendz. I was up in Fort Collins for the weekend and wanted a Jamba Juice, however the closest one was Boulder. I searched for nearby smoothie places and came upon Berry Blendz. Their prices are comparable to Jamba, and the smoothies are as well! I had the Hawaiian Dream... YUM! Came here on a busy Saturday. There were only two employees working and there was a ton of customers. They were still working with smiles on their faces and were very kind to all the the customers. One man got upset at the wait and was incredibly rude to the employees but they handled it professionally and with grace. Love the green machine smoothie! I've tried a few other smoothies and they were also good. I watch them make them and I don't really see them adding any extra sugar, so that's a plus! My only complaint is the service. Everytime I've gone in the girls have been rather rude. No smiles or hello's. They just go to the register and stare at you. Even after I said hello first! This place is always a hit or miss. Today it was a total miss. I went in and ordered a 32oz green tea raspberry smoothie. Total was $8.60 so I tacked on a $1.40 for tip bringing it to $10.00 even. I waited for about more than 10 minutes. The girl who made my drink made a completely different smoothie the first time, so she asked her coworker what my order was. Her coworker said the name of the smoothie but not the size and she didn't even care to double check. When she finally made it, it wasn't a 32oz, it was a 24oz. I was too nice to say anything but I would have never paid $10 for a medium sized smoothie. Kind of sucks that I tipped them too.
