I was immediately put at ease with his friendliness and attention to detail. My windows and house are old and there were some unexpected issues that arose while doing the job. Steven was able to deal with it all in a professional manner and gave me several options for dealing with the oddities of my home. I was very pleased with the window job he did so I got a quote on the siding for my house. His prices were very reasonable and I really liked how he did my windows the right way so I hired him for that job too. My siding came out beautiful. Nothing about my house is standard and he was able to take flaws and make them less noticeable. He even had some suggestions for some unique ideas that gave a bit of artistic flair to my home that made the outcome even more beautiful. I am very pleased with his work and would hire him again to work on my home any day.

Most of our…read moremaintenance work is done in-house, but we have used them when our maintenance supervisor is on vacation (or swamped) and for extensive projects. Brian is the main contact and he is always very professional and returns my phone calls promptly. When he has hired help, he always chooses professional and courteous people, which is very important in my line of work since they will be working in/around tenants' homes. Brian is very knowledgeable and versatile. Here are a few examples of the things we have had him do: Painting: We have used him for interior painting numerous times. He did a quick and excellent job. There was no overspray like you get with some painters. He cleaned up after himself. Fences: He tore down/hauled away old fences and installed and stained new ones on 60 patios, which was an extensive project. Though his bid came in slightly more expensive than another company, we used him because we knew he did quality work. When you are spending thousands of dollars on a project, you want to make sure that you're getting something that lasts. He works very quickly and efficiently. Again, he was working closely with over 60 tenants, and I received numerous compliments about how courteous he was. Replacement of sub-flooring: There was pet urine damage to a unit that was so extensive that it ruined the sub-flooring. We had a move-in scheduled, and so it was imperative that this was repaired ASAP . . .and of course, as Murphy's law would have it, this happened while our maintenance supervisor was on vacation! Thankfully, Brian was able to take care of this project in a timely manner! Quality work, timely, kind to others, and doesn't leave a mess behind - need I say more?

If I could give negative stars I would. My wife chose Budget Builders because of the awesome…read morereviews she found about them. We needed a bid to continue with a home purchase. The rehab loan depended on it in order to proceed. We met Roman at the property, told him what we wanted and what we had to work with. The guy did not seem interested in being there at all to me. I ended up walking away and letting my wife talk. At the end, he said we'd have a bid from him in a week. That week came and went... NOTHING..... I called. He said he'd get his notes to me by the end of the day to make sure we were on the same page. No surprise, I didn't get that Email as promised. Days later, I get his notes. We confirm, YES this is what we want to do. We didn't hear back from him until a month later when we got an Email stating they aren't taking any new jobs. All I have to say is it's a damned good thing we gave up on contractors to get back to us and went with a conventional loan instead of the 203k we started with. What the hell is wrong with contractors in this area?? Nobody seems like they want to work. They all say they'll get back to you but it's crickets from there.

I read the stuff on Yelp and Google Review and I know many people who gloat about a business they've used and goes overboard. I've been thru many restaurants where people glorify them as the "GREATEST PLACE EVER!!" as merely.. meh. So you are not going to impress me, easily.. So let me get to the point on this Roman guy and his company and people. Bottomline, if are in Eugene / Springfield, and you don't use him for your remodeling project, then you are S-T-U-P-I-D!! Budget builders the company is IMPRERSSIVE! here is why: 1) make their promises in writing. 2) They KEEP the promises they made. 3) Starts worl ON TIME 4) Finish work within the time frame promised. 5) finish work within the price quoted. Yeah, pretty simple aye?? Its funny that something this simple and yet most contractors cannot perform with the parameter. Budget Builders did a FANTASTIC job for the Bathroom tile and tub remodeling. All the while I was out of town in Southern California. They utilize technologies and provided me with updated progress pictures on the contruction in progress. They utilize technology and just provide a GREAT expreience. I am sold on them and will use them for all my future kitchen remodeling. Thier price is the lowest quoted and the workmanship is EXCELLENT! Like I said.. if you don't use them... then feel free to burn your money. I hope this helps, bee

Colt from Ram Jack came out and meticulously measured the elevations and they all fell within 1/2" of each other. He advised that doing nothing was the best option. He even took the time to show me how he obtained each of the measurements to make sure I understood the situation. He also described what to look out for to detect future foundation issues. The bathroom had the most awful, early 80's, peach colored shower enclosure, I could not live with - and the counter was much too short. The backyard had a large lawn and a small deck - it was crying out for a more useful space for entertaining. My street generates a lot of traffic noise and I needed something to help reduce it. I also wanted an attractive trash/recycling bin deck, close to the street, for convenience. I looked for reviews and Emerald Valley Home Repair popped up. I like licenses and BBB ratings - Ted has them. He was professional in his walk through and intelligent, creative and confident with his advice and ideas - that he quickly put me to ease with his clear rapport I chose Ted Colee. My new larger kitchen space includes my necessary dishwasher and a couple new cabinets and sparkles with quartz counter tops throughout. He also replaced the lighting. The bathroom shower panels were removed and replaced with new bright white tiles. The deck steps down to a circular stone patio that allows for more entertaining and several large potted plants. I worked with Ted on ideas for the front driveway and we came up with a spectacular walled in - shingled and planter deck. It looks fantastic and provides more privacy in my front yard and most importantly, has reduced the road noise. The shingled trash/recycling/green-waste bin deck has a drop down ramp gate: So convenient! This was a series of jobs that effectively have turned this house into my home. Knowledge, skill, dependability, trust and respect are all vital in building that working relationship and creativity and flexibility complete the package. Bonuses are his abundant experience - Ted even knows plants. I have worked with Ted since and highly recommend him!!
