I read the stuff on Yelp and Google Review and I know many people who gloat about a business they've used and goes overboard. I've been thru many restaurants where people glorify them as the "GREATEST PLACE EVER!!" as merely.. meh. So you are not going to impress me, easily.. So let me get to the point on this Roman guy and his company and people. Bottomline, if are in Eugene / Springfield, and you don't use him for your remodeling project, then you are S-T-U-P-I-D!! Budget builders the company is IMPRERSSIVE! here is why: 1) make their promises in writing. 2) They KEEP the promises they made. 3) Starts worl ON TIME 4) Finish work within the time frame promised. 5) finish work within the price quoted. Yeah, pretty simple aye?? Its funny that something this simple and yet most contractors cannot perform with the parameter. Budget Builders did a FANTASTIC job for the Bathroom tile and tub remodeling. All the while I was out of town in Southern California. They utilize technologies and provided me with updated progress pictures on the contruction in progress. They utilize technology and just provide a GREAT expreience. I am sold on them and will use them for all my future kitchen remodeling. Thier price is the lowest quoted and the workmanship is EXCELLENT! The rehab loan depended on it in order to proceed. We met Roman at the property, told him what we wanted and what we had to work with. The guy did not seem interested in being there at all to me. I ended up walking away and letting my wife talk. At the end, he said we'd have a bid from him in a week. That week came and went... NOTHING..... I called. He said he'd get his notes to me by the end of the day to make sure we were on the same page. No surprise, I didn't get that Email as promised. Days later, I get his notes. We confirm, YES this is what we want to do. We didn't hear back from him until a month later when we got an Email stating they aren't taking any new jobs. All I have to say is it's a damned good thing we gave up on contractors to get back to us and went with a conventional loan instead of the 203k we started with. What the hell is wrong with contractors in this area?? Nobody seems like they want to work. They all say they'll get back to you but it's crickets from there.

Colt from Ram Jack came out and meticulously measured the elevations and they all fell within 1/2" of each other. He advised that doing nothing was the best option. He even took the time to show me how he obtained each of the measurements to make sure I understood the situation. He also described what to look out for to detect future foundation issues. Colt and Ram Jack just saved me $35,000. Colt declined my offer to pay him for his time. Without a doubt, make sure you get Ram Jack to give you an estimate before you go ahead with anybody else's proposal for your foundation issues. I needed big help with my Eugene home I had just purchased…read more There was no place to put my dishwasher without restructuring the kitchen. The bathroom had the most awful, early 80's, peach colored shower enclosure, I could not live with - and the counter was much too short. The backyard had a large lawn and a small deck - it was crying out for a more useful space for entertaining. My street generates a lot of traffic noise and I needed something to help reduce it. I also wanted an attractive trash/recycling bin deck, close to the street, for convenience. I looked for reviews and Emerald Valley Home Repair popped up. I like licenses and BBB ratings - Ted has them. He was professional in his walk through and intelligent, creative and confident with his advice and ideas - that he quickly put me to ease with his clear rapport I chose Ted Colee. My new larger kitchen space includes my necessary dishwasher and a couple new cabinets and sparkles with quartz counter tops throughout. He also replaced the lighting. The bathroom shower panels were removed and replaced with new bright white tiles. The deck steps down to a circular stone patio that allows for more entertaining and several large potted plants. I worked with Ted on ideas for the front driveway and we came up with a spectacular walled in - shingled and planter deck. It looks fantastic and provides more privacy in my front yard and most importantly, has reduced the road noise. The shingled trash/recycling/green-waste bin deck has a drop down ramp gate: So convenient! This was a series of jobs that effectively have turned this house into my home. Knowledge, skill, dependability, trust and respect are all vital in building that working relationship and creativity and flexibility complete the package.
