My daughter recently had what should have been an exciting first job interview with this business. Instead, it turned into one of the most unprofessional experiences I've ever heard of.  From the start, the interview wasn't about learning who she was, her work ethic, or why she wanted the job. Instead, management spent the majority of the interview bragging about how they're "always hiring and firing" and even compared themselves to the "Chick-fil-A of the pizza world." Rather than encouraging a young person entering the workforce, the message they sent was that employees are disposable and can be fired for just about anything. After hearing about the interview, I reached out to speak with the owners to better understand what had happened. Instead of taking even the slightest amount of accountability or acknowledging that the interview may have been handled poorly, they immediately became defensive. The conversation itself was chaotic--one owner would start talking while the other interrupted by yelling over the conversation. It was impossible to have a productive discussion because neither seemed interested in listening. The most shocking moment came when one of the owners stated, "Teenagers lie." That's an incredible statement to make about a young person you've barely met. When I asked why he would say something like that about my daughter, there was no explanation, no apology, and no attempt to clarify what he meant. It spoke volumes about the assumptions they make about the very people they're supposedly trying to hire. What was most disappointing wasn't even the interview itself--it was the complete refusal by management and ownership to accept responsibility for anything that was said or done. Every concern was dismissed instead of addressed. Businesses earn respect by owning their mistakes and treating people with professionalism, not by becoming combative when someone raises a legitimate concern. I'm genuinely relieved my daughter won't be working there. Young people deserve employers who encourage them, mentor them, and treat them with respect--not employers who lead with intimidation, dismissive attitudes, and poor communication. Overall, this was a grossly unprofessional experience from both management and ownership. If this is how they treat potential employees and concerned parents before someone is even hired, I can't imagine how they treat the people who actually work for them. Negative marks all around. read more

Bernard's is one of a kind. The owners are amazing. They employ mostly young kids looking for their first jobs, and really really make sure they know their stuff. They actually CARE about their employees and their wellbeing. The food? PHENOMENAL. They are ALWAYS making sure the quality is top notch. The ingredients? Amazing. You will not find a pizza place anywhere in Arkansas that compares to this place. They're fun, they're kind, they're ORIGINAL, and most importantly they're DELICIOUS. Worried about them being closed? Check Facebook or call them. They'll ALWAYS be willing to let their customers know if they've closed early or can't open. They actually care about their employees(mostly high school kids) and close early so they can attend prom every year. The wait times CAN get long. They're THE BEST and everyone knows it. But you can order online ahead of time! They have the cutest pizza style decor, and some amazing shirts you can buy to support them. And don't forget to grab your dog a delicious treat too while youre there!!!! They are take-out style, and not sit down. But honestly, the rest of it all makes it worth sacrificing that. Seriously, the best place you'll find in Arkansas. Don't miss out on this place. Your stomach will thank you. read more

Really good food. great service. the owners treat their crew well from the interaction I witnessed. I appreciate places that treat the employees good since so many places don't busy. There was a huge line to the road plus all parking up front was full. Drive thru moved fast and my food was done. Worth the wait. I asked and they said they do stay pretty busy. I'll order ahead next time online like suggested read more

We love this local little place with take out only. Doubt I will ever get pizza anywhere else in Arkansas ever again. We always get a large supreme, about $20 and we are never disappointed. It is SO heavy. You can taste the freshness of the ingredients. FYI we always call ahead with our order and then 30-45 minutes later we pick up a yummy hot pizza! Yum Yum read more
