The photo was taken in .5 to distort my child's face and made into a meme, stating "POV I'm left at day care all day." Five administrators sent a laughing response to the photo. For context, this photograph was taken at 4:30 p.m. during normal working hours when I trusted the day care to treat my child with respect and empathy while I worked to provide for him. My child was clearly in distress in the photograph; however, instead of treating my child with care or compassion, the staff at Wright Brothers chose to treat both myself and my child with mocking cruelty. The staff clearly felt no fear of repercussion as the administration was included on the chat and, in fact, laughed at the image. This exemplifies that the culture at Wright Brothers does not give respect to the children or the parents who are trusting them with their children while they work.

The group was chatty and fun and immediately made me feel like I belonged. The organization offers classes, conversation groups, and social gatherings, so there are many options and opportunities to work with and talk to others who share the love of the French language. I have been taking classes at the Alliance Francaise for about two years now. They have guided me all the way from struggling to remember the French I learned in high school to passing the DELF B2 fluency exam. Of the three instructors I have worked with, two were native French speakers with many years of experience teaching French in a classroom environment. The third instructor was a native French speaker who led an informal conversation group. The class size ranged from 4 to 10 students. I recommend checking out the Alliance Francaise if you are looking to improve your French or if you just want to meet and talk to other people with an interest in French language and culture. I am not aware of any other organization in Tucson that offers what the Alliance does.

Our experience was extremely disappointing. The school advertises the Carden teaching method, but I found the curriculum difficult to understand, and I watched several kindergarten students struggle with the way they were being taught. Weekly spelling lists contained only a few words with very little practice or reinforcement, and the words were rarely used in sentences to help children understand them. Instead of helping students succeed, the teaching methods left many children confused. I also witnessed a teacher grab a child roughly by the arm. I was so concerned that I found the child's parent and told them what I had seen. My grandchild once forgot his water bottle and was told to drink water from the bathroom sink instead of being offered another solution. What concerns me most is student safety and privacy. Personal information about my grandchild was shared with someone who was not authorized on the pickup or contact list. That is a serious breach of trust. Parents pay a substantial amount of tuition expecting quality education, professionalism, and a safe environment. Based on our experience, we did not receive that. I also find it concerning that I have been unable to locate a public place to leave a review of this school. I hope other parents will carefully research the school, ask detailed questions about its curriculum, student safety procedures, and privacy practices before making the decision to enroll their children. This was our family's experience, and I believe other parents deserve to hear it when making an important decision about their child's education.

To me, if a parent is not allowed on site, it's an indication that things are not above board. My child also had such a difficult time transitioning that I could hear them screaming on the other side of the building. But while things were still brand new, we tried to wait it out. They did not improve. One day when I walked past a classroom, I heard a teacher telling a child that they had made God sad because they weren't listening to her. I emailed the director the same day because I found that to be very inappropriate. I never heard back from her. There were just too many red flags. We pulled our child and never looked back.

They let me volunteer in the classroom, they made sure I had my background check and fingerprints before I could start helping. I appreciated that they didn't let just anyone in the classroom, interacting with children (who at times may be in a CPS related situation and security is a priority). The Director is the sweetest southern lady you will ever meet and treats every child like they are her grand-babies. I loved it there. My kids were well prepared for elementary school, we've even received compliments on how well prepared they were.
