Great place! Loved taking the boat out to fish. Rooms were clean and staff were nice.

There are so many better places to stay in the area, you should skip this one…read more I stayed in the studio room. I was concerned initially because I could not get the door to lock. I ended up propping a dining chair against the door for the one night I was there and praying that being in the middle of nowhere would protect me as well. The room itself was visibly clean with *incredibly* old fixtures and appliances. In many places the managers had chosen to paint over things rather than replace. I don't mind if things are old, but if you move or look behind the furniture (which I really should not have done) there was a world of dust bunnies and old dessicated spider webs. Unfortunately when I put my head down to sleep, I could see into the gap behind the kitchen cabinets and it was AWFUL. It seemed no one had cleaned back there in years. It was hard for me to fall asleep after that, and at that point in the night, I had no where else to go. I only stayed here because my AirBnB reservation fell through and when I called in, I was able to reserve the same day over the phone. I appreciate that they were able to accomodate me last minute, hence the two stars rather than one. There was also confusion about the actual reservation, which I was surprised by. This misunderstanding could have been my error but I don't think so. I wish that management would have been clearer in their communication with me over the telephone when I made the reservation and kinder with me in their communications over email after I checked out. Either way, I don't recommend staying here.

Although it looks like a typical motel from the 50's, it was actually a good place. The room was…read moresimple and adequate for our one night stay. The management was very helpful upon our arrival. Okay, it's not the Ritz Carlton, but it was comfortable. Our one "complaint" was the shower water regulator was stuck and my husband ended up with a cold shower. I was able to turn the regulator (but afraid I was going to break it) and had a normal shower. All in all, I would recommend the Becket Motel if you don't care about "fancy".

The Friday before the wedding barn & tables & chair were to be set up so we could start decorating…read more Didn't happen. Asked the lady in charge when, she responded,"soon". We were so busy as the salon & rehearsal dinner we couldn't keep tabs on the activity at the barn. And I shouldn't have had to. Sat the day of the wedding: I came back from the salon at 2pm & NOTHING had been done! The wedding starts at 4pm! Flowers from last Sat's wedding were still in the barn & barn was filthy. The lady in charge was NOWHERE to be found.(Come to find out later she was giving an interview to this paper(the 3rd photo shows my husband & groomsman setting up stuff for the wedding in the lower corner, when we should have been relaxing inside and getting ready) we started setting up ourselves because the wedding was in 2 hours! We moved tables, chairs, set up tablecloths, set up our special touches, everything. Only after we start setting up everything, the lady in charge's son who is the chef comes out to help with his catering crew. He apologized and started to help. Then the lady in charge shows up and yells at my future mother in law, & my bridesmaid for setting up. She takes the broom out of my bridesmaid's hands and tells here to chill out. Ha. We can't. We should have been inside the B&B relaxing in the AC sipping champagne. Instead, we are setting up our own wedding. The the lady in charge & her aunt yell about using their antique carriages. We had previously discussed 8 months earlier that we would use 1 for h'ore derves and 1 for gifts. In fact, this was the lady in charge's idea! At that point I was in tears and had to go inside & get ready. My makeup was sweated off from moving tables around & my hair was frizzy from the heat. Then I found out that the bouquets were missing! I tried to call the florists but they were already on their way to the wedding since they were guests as well. Come to find out later, my florists brought the flowers at noon & wanted to keep them in the B&B so they wouldn't wilt, but had to fight this out with the lady in charge. So the lady in charge knew knew where they were the whole time, while everyone was running around trying to locate them. We went off with the photographer to take photos and clear our minds. The wedding started and all the evil energy was flushed out by all the positive energy the guests (with no clue to the chaos) brought. During our ceremony, the lady in charge & someone were screaming at each other! We could hear her from the hill where we were married. My parents heard them screaming & other guest heard as well. I just ignored it at the time, damn it, I was getting married! Come to find out later, our Buddhist Priest who was at our rehearsal the day before left some of his things behind at the rehearsal, so when he went to look for his water bowl down in the kitchen, he got yelled at too. Through out the wedding, the lady in charge yelled my guests, vendors and family and allegedly pushed my husband's Uncle. Everyone was like, what is wrong with this lady? I just ignored her, I didn't want to deal. The flowers never got put onto the cupcakes, so I had bare cupcakes, the food was wrong & they ran out of food. Her uncle or someone ended up in OUR photo booth, using our props making obscene gestures. I have these photos in hard copy and digital files of him giving the finger in OUR photo booth. Thing is, EVERYONE I spoke to, guests, vendors and family ALL had gripes and stories about this woman. While the wedding was the best day of my life, It will always been connected with screaming and lack of organization due to the farm's communication and incompetency. So far, we have received a small discount for our trouble and a mis-aimed apology.
