Bill Milani of Berkshire Floors is salt of the Earth! My landlord told me about him when I wanted to refinish my oak floor. My landlord has worked with Bill for over a decade; I lived in one of those properties so I had seen the quality of Bill's work from 15 years ago! I contacted two other businesses with high reviews on Yelp, but neither of them came close to matching Bill's quality, price, responsiveness, and professionalism. He showed up everyday at 8 to work, called to let me know one time when he was running late, and finished the work earlier than anticipated. He used a combination of oil and water finishes because that was the best aesthetic combination for the floor that I have. Other contractors asked what finishes I wanted when they came to take the measurement, but only so they know how much to charge me without any consideration for the floor that I have. Bill took the time to point out some irregularities in my floor and showed me the differences between red and white oak because I had both in one section of my house. He is worth every single penny! People with his kind of fundamental goodness and skills are hard to come by. read more
