Management is totally different after you move in. Rules on top of rules. Fines even for recycling. Threatened with being evicted constantly. Visitors harrassed at times. This was a complete turn around from the nice attitudes I met from staff when I first came to view the place. Be fore warned: Bring your Roach Spray & Mice poison or mouse traps unless you want to pay extra for a cat!

I didn't leave because of choice, it was because my mother was at the end of her life with hear failure. My mom wasn't able to do anything on her own without losing her breath, and she was on oxygen 24/7. I originally went to visit my mom and stay for a few days. She lived in Trenton which is 1 hr and 20 min away from Absecon, NJ. But after I saw her I knew I'd have to stay. She didn't look well at all. I told the the lady in the office that I'd be leaving earlier than my lease term due to extenuating circumstances. I was told to write a letter and pay for the next month, which was Feb, March, April, May!! Then I was told I was still not in good standing due to a lack of communication and I paid again !! They knew my mother was literally dying and they were picking my pockets dry !! I loved this complex and the office workers at one time, I'm confused as to why everything went so wrong. My roommate told me he brought a letter to them and he was done. After that he remained at the apartment until early June 2024 and left. Never told me where he went or that he wasn't coming back until I received an email stating that I was blocked. My mom passed away June 10, 2024 and George left after having someone live there without my knowledge. I had to leave everything behind because I had absolutely zero help and was moving my mom's house in Trenton while I was getting what I could without a moving truck in Absecon. Now I'm being sued for $3000 by Manor Management while grieving the loss of my mother and as my ex friend and roommate hides in another state!! I did what I could do. Paid the last months rent, George brought the letter to the office and now after a clean slate of never being late paying my rent in almost 6 years this is what I get !!

I know that this is an opinion, but please consider reading it. (Please excuse the CAPS, I am just so mad!) First of all, these houses are like 83 YEARS OLD! No renovations have been done at all! Roof is broken and sometimes leaks from pipes out of no where!!! MANAGEMENT: The maintenance CAN NOT FIX ANYTHING that is wrong with the apartments. They are uneducated people who have no idea about what they are doing. The manager is VERY RUDE as well. They will not fix any of your problems. If you want service constantly when you need it, this is the total opposite. RESPONSIVENESS: When we call the manager to get something fixed, they are very unresponsive. They never respond, and if they do, they arrive an hour later or even arrive the next day. Sometimes their visits are unexpected. If you don't want people coming into your house everyday, don't come to Chelsea Village Apartments. QUALITY: The house quality is terrible. My heaters never work, and there is a HUGE crack behind it. I know that my heaters need a power-flush, and I am pretty sure they know that as well. But, of course, they don't have the right mindset and they don't care. If you want a caring landlord and great service, this is not the right place. ROOMS: The rooms are very small. The bedrooms are the size of the average bathroom, and the bathrooms are as small as a pantry. THESE APARTMENTS NEED RENOVATION! THEY ARE 83 YEARS OLD! --- If you have a family with about 5 or 6 people, don't even think about coming here! LAUNDRY/LAUNDROMAT: The laundromats have leaking pipes, and the dryers and washers do not work effectively. Every time I visit, I spend nearly $5.00, and when I get home, my clothes are still wet. How fair is that. If you have a lot of clothes to wash every week, don't be shocked if you find yourself out of spare cash in the first few weeks. MICE & PESTS: There are a lot of mice in my house. They go under the fridge, and the oven. We have to put rat-trappers everywhere, and once my foot even got stuck on one. These mice are EVERYWHERE and they even enter my bedrooms! HOW DISGUSTING! If you want a pest-free house, you should not consider these apartments.
