The menu only lists about half of what they truly have. We easily found parking in the large, gravel lot, and somehow secured a table in the dining room despite how busy they were. Our server/waitress was prompt, friendly, and patient as our 92 year old grandmom was ordering. They have a decent sized bar area with several TVs and a pretty big dining room with a few booths and several tables seating anywhere from 4-8 people. I thought everything was fairly priced and they have a rotating selection of desserts that all sound heavenly!

Been wanting to eat here…read moresince I first found it like 20 years ago, but being so far away and dinner being kind of pricey it always just stayed in the back of my mind. Well we had the occasion, wife's bday, and we bit the bullet and made the trip. There's no easy way to get to Hanoverton, so there's that. But once you make it there, the area right around the restaurant transports you back into the 1800s. Much history on that street and inside the restaurant. Take some time to look around each room and the basement too. The service was top notch. Being a party of 8, we got the private dining in the Taft room. They were all over it and did great in taking care of us. The food is not cheap, but it is good. The deviled eggs with salmon, the bruschetta, the onion soup. Chefs kiss. The menu online is somewhat different than in-house, but that was ok. My wife had pierogis and someone else had the beef Wellington and they both loved it. Can't remember everything everyone had. I had what was basically a pot pie, but with bison. Much to my stomachs chagrin I ate the whole thing and was beyond stuffed. We will definitely be back. I recommend reservations if you're coming after 3pm. Something about that place with the smell of the fireplaces wafting thru the building....

Amish Country at its best!…read more This is a gem of a restaurant. We found this place thanks to the great reviews on Yelp. We were not familiar with Baltic, Ohio, yet we were so happy we found this place. The staff was so friendly and welcoming, it felt like we were eating in someone's home. Christian, the manager, could have not done anything more to accommodate us. He really went out of his way to enhance our experience. Our waitress, Arlene, had told us she had been there for several years and you could really tell this by her ability to help us through the menu. She wanted to make sure we were completely satisfied. The menu was one like I had never seen before. Everything from a large breakfast selection to Wagyu and Prime steaks. I had the best Ruben sandwich I had ever eaten ( that is saying a lot). We also shared the Wagyu filet with hand cut fries and sweet potato fries. The steak was sautéed with fresh mushrooms and onions. The steak was seasoned to absolute perfection. You have to try this. I have posted pictures of the menu. Don't forget a side order of homemade mac & cheese. Their prices are extremely reasonable considering the quality of the food and the impeccable service. The decor is perfect. Simple yet very pretty. They even have a nice area (living room style) that we hung out in until our table was ready. This Amish restaurant is the "best of the best". I will be back in this area next year and will be sure to make this my go to restaurant. Bravo to the staff and chef, well done.

This is not a fancier restaurant that serves wagyu, why can you not figure out how to price half of your meats? Service = Good with no problems. Restaurant = Stylish, Spacious, and Clean.

The wings were delicious and crispy. The burgers were fresh and yummy, not frozen patties. My only gripe is.. they charge 4$ extra to sub out tortilla chips for fries. It should be a lower price to substitute it and not the full $4 charge for a side. If I would have known that it was that much extra, I would have kept the chips and gotten a fry appetizer instead. I also got a couple of beers. The small cans are $3.25 which is a little pricey as well. It was good but kind of on the expensive side. I would have given 5 stars if that charge wasn't so high to sub for fries.

After watching several parties file in just before us, I was sure we'd have a wait but was pleasantly surprised when we were seated right away. The dining room is full of old photos chronicling the history of the business and the key individuals involved in its success. Our waitress was amazing and was as available as she could be, considering the crowd on hand. We all ordered from the Sunday Features menu with two of us ordering the steak dinner, two orders of the wing platter, and one fajita salad with steak. The fries and boneless wings on the platter were crispy and fresh. I'm not sure if the bleu cheese was homemade or not but it was delicious and creamy. I had the steak dinner with no onions and asked for it medium rare. The person next to me asked for the same, but more towards well done. I think our steaks came out looking identical; both had a little pink. Despite that, the steaks were juicy and flavorful and covered in a hearty gravy. We both agreed that the side of green beans were bland and needed a little seasoning, at least. The mashed potatoes were fine. My boyfriend loved the fajita salad, particularly the chipotle dressing. The parking lot extends across the street and it is a little dangerous crossing that busy road, especially during dusk.
