People may question (as they did in my experience) why you're paying to have your resume rewritten. Let me just say: it's a complete overhaul and the results speak for themselves. My former resume was a boring canvas of black and white. Competing with other creative professionals for job opportunities, there's no doubt that this put me at a disadvantage; however, I still felt lost as to how to proceed in expressing my strengths or demonstrating any set-me-apart flair in my resume. After working with Amanda over the course of two weeks, I finally felt confident--proud, even--in delivering my resume. Of the responses and interviews that almost immediately followed, the one comment that repeatedly came up was that of excellent taste and style. Within weeks, I landed a job I never thought I could. I attribute a massive part of getting my foot in the door for that first opportunity to my decision to work with WIC. In the digital age and a competitive job market where first impressions are key, make the investment and set yourself apart.

They even made suggestions of how to apply properly and with which format, etc. All that being said, I've had my re-written resume for 3 months, have used it to apply to over 50 positions, and have gotten 0 interviews. I'm even applying to jobs that I (believe I) am overqualified for. I've gotten some feedback from people in HR that my new resume is too wordy and challenging to follow. So I don't think it's my career history or me, I think that my newly re-written resume is just not working.

As a professional organizer, I often work with families preserving not just their belongings, but also their memories. Pat's presentation was a wonderful reminder that every family has stories worth saving. The experiences, wisdom, and history of our parents and grandparents are priceless, yet so often they disappear because no one took the time to record them. Whether it's a full memoir or simply a collection of meaningful stories, Pat has a gift for helping people capture a life's journey in a way that future generations can treasure. Her passion for preserving family legacies was inspiring, and I left her presentation thinking about the importance of documenting the people we love before their stories are lost. I highly recommend Pat to anyone who wants to preserve a parent's or grandparent's history--or even their own. It's one of the most meaningful gifts you can leave for your family.

She mentioned that it is important to consider various things, such as: 1) Who is your audience?; and, 2) Who are your characters? Ann Frank said, "I can shake off everything as I write; my sorrows disappear, my courage is reborn," which I can definitely related to since my memoir will be an inspirational story about overcoming challenges with optimism and humor. Thank you Pat for encouraging me to start writing a memoir!

I was at a loss for how to present myself to potential employers. Pam helped me bridge the gap and move into a new career that I love with a professional resume and cover letter. The service starts out with a quick phone call to establish exactly what you are looking for and how much it will cost (I paid $400 for a resume and cover letter). Then we scheduled a phone interview to go over my specifics. She is very knowledgable and asks a ton of questions. The whole thing took about an hour and I got off the phone feeling very positive about the experience. It took her a week to send me the 1st draft of my resume and cover letter. I was impressed with how professional it was. I wouldn't have been able to organize the little experience I had at that point to sound so good. I had a couple of changes/revisions which she happily made as part of the original price. All-in-all this was a great experience for me. I got a great resume that got me the job I was looking for. I would highly recommend Pam to anyone looking for a resume.
