Zach made everything really stress free and in this market that's probably not easy. We can't say enough great things about Zach, McKiernan Realty and our experience. Thank you!! I told him I'm from California and I'm looking for a realtor because I want to move to Folsom. It turns out He and his wife were from Folsom too and referred me Zach McKiernan, I went out on a limb and trusted the stranger and called Zach. Turns out zach was the most committed and hardest working realtor I've ever met. He went out of his way to work around my schedule and show me homes at my convenience. I looked at so many homes I thought it was hopeless there wasn't a perfect home for us in Folsom and Zach said "it's ok, we're gonna find it you'll know when it's the right one, we'll keep looking" well turns out the we found that perfect home shortly after he told me that. Working with Zach was a gift that keeps giving, he has St Patrick's day parties for his clients, and around thanksgivings he hands out pies. They're the nicest and most caring people, I'd refer McKiernan to anybody looking to move to the area. You won't go wrong by choosing McKiernan realty A++

After the entire process of searching, making an offer and closing, am I ever glad I went with a tried-and-true broker like Tim. Tim was extremely hard-working and professional through the entire process. I honestly felt like I was his only client because he gave such personalized service. Little did I know, he had several other clients in various stages of purchasing a home. Tim made sure to show me every single home that I was interested in and there were a lot! He was always honest yet positive about the realities of each potential home. When I finally settled on the home of my dreams, Tim made sure that we offered an appropriate amount; just enough to beat the other offers. I thought the hard part was over when we went into contract but there was so much more to do when the inspection report came out. Tim helped to set up all inspections and continued to fight for me and negotiate costs for dry rot removal, sewer cleanout and roofing fixes. He made sure the companies that were doing the pre-closing work were not taking advantage of me. This is the part of Tim's personalized service that I remember the most. It still means a lot to me. I whole-heartedly recommend Tim Comstock as a real estate agent. I have referred him to countless friends, some of which have already used him as their broker and are 100% satisfied.

We were deeply disappointed with our experience with Sotheby's. We paid $1.62M, above asking, and…read moreextended the sellers a two-week rent-free occupancy period. When we received possession, the home was filthy and still contained multiple full cabinets and drawers that were completely full, trash, personal belongings, tools, and other items that required a hauler to remove. Joseph Gonzalez was the Sotheby's realtor representing the sellers, and we expected greater care and oversight in how the property was ultimately turned over. For us, buying or selling a home is more than a transaction. There should be care and consideration for everyone involved, and both buyers and sellers deserve to be treated with a basic level of respect throughout the entire process. We extended that consideration to the sellers and were disappointed not to experience the same in return. We attempted to address our concerns privately first and reached out directly to broker Tiffany Kraft over a week ago and shared photos of the property. Unfortunately, we have received no response. Given Sotheby's reputation for exceptional service and professionalism, this experience fell well below what we expected for a "luxury" brand. I would never advise anyone to work with a brand that only cares about the bottom line and not the people experience.

Got us our home in a very competitive market!!!…read more Steven is a very personable, reliable, and hard working agent. He represented us more than we could as for as our buyer's agent. My wife and I are first time home-buyers and he was always available to explain what was going on throughout the process. Not only that, he got us our house in a competitive market (there were 3+ serious offers on our place!) It was obvious from meeting Steven the first time at the open house for our home that he knew what he was doing and could guide us up the large mountain to the top. I have to say, buying a home is much more complicated than expected. Below are the areas where we feel Steven excelled at: Offer on the Home - I mentioned that there were 3+ offers on our home, all over asking price. Steven's expertise got our offer accepted! He knew how to write the "agreement" to allow the seller to prefer our offer over the other offers. This was invaluable. Inspection - During our inspection, our home inspector noted 3 large ticket items that needed to be replaced, and a dozen small items. Steven guided us and represented us during our negotiations of what was fair for the seller to either repair or provide a credit to us. His guidance allowed us to ask for ~$2k in repairs that we graciously received from the seller. We didn't know that you don't get this if you don't ask, and Steven made sure we asked! We realize these costs would have fell on us once we moved in, which is a tough pill to swallow after paying a down-payment and closing costs on a home! Availability - He. Always. Picks. Up. The. Phone. (or answers texts/emails) We though this was priceless. Going through the month-long agony of "hurry up and wait" when buying a home, he was available always. He even met us at our home so we could take measurements, pictures, etc prior to closing. Representation - Steven strictly represented us, which is a good feeling when you're making the biggest purchase of your life. He was in constant communication with us when something would happen (negotiations, lifting contingencies, inspection, etc), and would tell us our options, and his strongly recommended option. He always let us make the choice, and we always went with his recommendation... and here we are now with the home we wanted (in a competitive market), at a great price (appraisal was higher than our offer), and seller's credit to fix the big ticket items! Not to mention we closed a week early! To summarize: Steven was honest, got us the house, got us a fair seller's credit, and closed early. Couldn't be happier with his services!
