He highly recommended Mike at Great lakes Well Repair. He and his brother both hired Mike for well service. He couldn't praise Mike enough for the work he did for them! And he wasn't wrong! Mike and his son Vinnie showed up Monday morning and quickly diagnosed the problem. Yup...my worse fear...pump was shot. The pump had been running nonstop for a month (hence the $300 electric bill). He pulled the 180' of pipe and found a couple split couplers which allowed water to be pumped into the casing and not providing enough pressure to shut the pump off. He said he's seen this happen quite often...that's why he uses metal couplers. I had him replace the 180' of PVC pipe (with metal couplers)!! He had a well pump with him...installed and lowered it in the well casing. He had to let the water run onto the ground for a awhile and added a bit of chlorine (checked to make sure neither one of us was allergic first). Hooked everything back up and voilà we had water again!! Super nice guy...found out we have a lot of mutual friends also! Total time.... minus half hour chatting (that was my fault) 2 1/2 hours. If I could give 10 stars I would! Very efficient and knows his stuff!!! Thanks Mike and Vinnie!! P.S. Also very affordable!!

Don't even think about doing business with this company. Totally unprofessional and unethical…read more Signed a contract for a new well with them in June, 2017 and gave them a $3,000 deposit. Kept getting put off as to when they'd drill the well. Then received this email on 8/13/18 (14 months after signing the contract.) "The owner asked me to let you know that he is very sorry that we are going to have to decline this job for the mere fact that we just can't foresee when we'll have the time and/or manpower to do your well. We deeply regret having to do this but it's become very apparent that we're continuously having to address other wells that won't take a week to complete because of the many challenges faced in doing your well." This company only wants quick easy jobs (with maximum profit) and will keep you strung along until they decide they don't feel like doing yours. They don't do jobs in the order in which they are contracted, they do them when (and if) they feel like it. But they will keep promising that they'll get to you as soon as they can. And by the way, they still have our $3,000 deposit and we don't have a well.

I texted John on his business number (his voicemail greeting suggested doing that) on a Sunday…read moremorning because of a sudden loss of water service to my house. He was the only service that was reachable on Sunday. He called me back that morning to find out what I was needed, and he was very candid that he would have a hard time coming to help me the same day, and he recommended another provider who was nearer to my location. He then called back in the evening to confirm that he wasn't going to able to help me right away. Thus, I can't tell you whether his work or his prices are any good. But my experience indicates that he's very responsive and very attentive to customers' needs.
