I retained this firm for a paid second opinion and paid a $3,900 retainer. My expectation was that the attorney I initially consulted would personally engage with the core issues I raised, particularly tort-based reliance and misrepresentation. Instead, the matter was largely handled by another attorney, and the analysis I received focused heavily on buyer-awareness/Form 17 issues rather than the reliance framework I had specifically asked to be reviewed. I was also disappointed by the billing, including time recorded before I had signed the engagement agreement, which I disputed. Men going through a divorce and considering this firm: please read. I was told my case was very straightforward and given a rosy outlook. What happened instead was I paid my lawyer a ton of money ($20-$30K), lost custody of my kids, got kicked out of my own house, had my residential time stripped away from me, etc. On top of that, halfway through my case my lawyer dropped me as a client, leaving me scrambling for representation. My lawyer was less than responsive. Not sympathetic to my losses. Services rendered were not communicated to me throughout the case, and decisions were made without my knowledge. The case went from 2021 to 2024. Then following court, a resolution for payment was required within 90 days, Beresford Booth wasted this time allotted by the court, incurring me in excess of an additional $30,000 to correct the blatant mistakes made by Beresford Booth. Funds were not traced and my character was slandered in court without a single objection from my counsel and therefore the case became very one-sided against me and ended up losing my house. Basic "Attorney 101": Check for Conflict of Interest on 1st phone call! I paid $3,500 to retain Joshua in a matter that was time sensitive. After lengthy phone consultation: * On October 11, I signed their engagement letter. * On October 14, I charged $3,500 on my Amex to retain their services. * On October 17, Gabi confirmed access to my Dropbox for all documentation and said they would "be in touch soon". * Five days later, on October 22, I sent a letter to them stating I need to get started on the letter ASAP. They responded that Joshua is busy and Ryan Foltz has been given my file. I asked for Ryan's contact information but never received it. * On October 28, I sent another email stating it had been 2 weeks since I signed the contract and sent the money but nobody has been in contact with me and time is of the essence. They wrote back that they spoke with Ryan and he was preparing for trial so Joshua will be writing the initial demand letter. * On October 30, Joshua and I spoke at length on the phone and he prepared the letter. * On October 31, Joshua emailed the letter to the opposing party but then recalled it a short while later. He called me and said "We have a problem" which is when I first learned that there was a conflict of interest. Apparently, this firm had represented the opposing party previously. The failure to check for Conflict of Interest may have cost me the chance to get my fair reimbursement from opposing party. Furthermore, they wasted my time for 21 days; I felt like I was first ignored, then pawned off to another attorney who never even contacted me. 3 weeks wasted, that this law firm could have done the basic Conflict of Interest check and avoided this mess and embarrassment for both of us. And it took them until November 12 to refund my deposit. read more

I'm appalled at the level of unprofessionalism shown here. I've been trying to get an appointment for almost a month now and almost every time I call, I was told by the receptionist that the intake person is busy. The few times I managed to get hold of Andrea(for the intake) I was told that I will get an email with all the details - but did not. I had to follow up multiple times to be able to get the intake form. and after I filled the intake form I still was not able to get to them. I've followed with multiple voicemails and emails, just to be able to get an appointment and it has been 4 weeks now - and every time I'm told I would get an appointment in a week or two. All they want is your money and they never deliver services they promised. After few thousand dollars they charged me already saying they will provide a full analysis for my case to me to make a decision going forward, They told me that they need more time and need to pull in additional lawyers to review the case but did not provide me anything ("analysis" as they said) useful need to go forward. You would think after few thousand dollars they charged me already that I would have some sort of idea to decide if I want to pursue further and to know what to expect, but to this day, I still don't know. I decided not to pursue further and just think of the $ they took from me was a lesson learned knowing the lawyers don't have your best interest but just want more money and if you raised the concern, they don't even want to talk to you anymore. read more

This company has been reported to the state bar of WA and will soon be undergoing an investigation for misconduct and unethical behavior. Not only do they charge enormously outrageous and unjust fees, but they demand these fees right before court in an effort to blackmail their clients. When the fees are not paid immediately they abandon them. This is not only happened to me, but to other clients that has come across this awful company. Worst communication I've ever experienced in any business I've delt with. Too much time wasted, days, without a response to emails. Months wasted on a time sensitive situation. When sent the initial paperwork to go over for court, it had nothing to do with what I'd been talking to them about for months. Tons of Documents, letters, etc. they had no clue what I was actually wanting. Thousands of dollars in I'm left with no response to my emails and calls. Do NOT use this corrupt business! Especially if you are a non-profit organization. Lawyer William O Kessler, severely pressured me into providing him a $15,000 deposit to represent our non-profit organization. Mr. Kessler committed I would receive the full deposit back when the organization's insurance paid him. I put the $15,000 deposit on my personal VISA card which Mr. Kessler directly billed. Mr. Kessler billed our organization's insurance company. We were then informed by Mr. Kessler that the insurance company had not approved several of his charges. Therefore, I would only receive a portion of our deposit back and that our business was concluded. To date I have received three checks amounting to $8306.01. As per Mr. Kessler's March 2017 commitment, I am due $6683.99. Simply put, I feel I was a victim of extortion AND fraud. read more
