Meh. They are a cash-only establishment now and refuse to post signage saying so. Stopped in here earlier today for my weekend shopping. Go to check out and I was told they only accept cash now. No signs by the register. I walked up front and outside to make sure I didn't miss something. No signs anywhere. I explained to the woman that the team should post signage as they have signs for everything else. She told me, "It was brought up to management and they decided against it." That tells me all I need to know. I don't like being surprised and unprepared at the checkout and directed to an ATM that charges a fee. When management refuses to communicate with customers, that's it. Too many other places around here that offer a much better customer experience. Nothing against paying cash, but in a digital society, you have to manage customer expectations. read more

Wide selection and variety of brands and products. Prices are just ok, especially with deals. The staff is chill. Good service. I can find better prices elsewhere and closer to me, so I won't frequent this spot much. They're just ok. I do recommend checking them out if you're in the area though. I think this is my new favorite dispensary in town! From the moment I saw Tupac outside with his inspiring words of Keeping Ya Head Up, i knew this was the spot. I had pre-placed an order with a bunch of good deals in place! I spent a few bills and the awesome Gemini (bday twinsies with my bestie) with true Gemini energy threw in a little freebie and let me spin the wheel for an edible freebie! Their prices are great, and staff is even better. It was my first time in this weekend but the homie told me they are always awesome here. The shop itself is very cool, too, with not just that mural outside but tons of fun stuff inside like a Pac Man arcade machine, a lowrider coming out the wall, and even some bball! Came here to celebrate 4/20 because last years celebration was so much fun. I was incredibly disappointed. There were no games, no deals not even any music really. It was completely empty in there and they had nothing for customers but some stale donuts and old product sitting in plastic bins with prices listed on sticky notes. This place used to be the best, now it is the WORST. OBNOXIOUS, ignorant staff. They turned a welcoming establishment into a cold, ugly place with piles of junk everywhere. With so many stores like this in LA, it's surprising how atrocious everything was. Would never come here again even if someone else was paying. The people who work there are awesome. Security, tenders, everyone. But the debit reader hasn't worked in six months. So long that I have to believe this is on purpose so that you'll use the ATM in the building and the owner can pat himself on the back for what a good business man he is. Used to be regulars here, but as another reviewer has said, this recent change in ownership has meant us dropping it as a regular stop. They've fired long terms staff that were very personable, got rid of pretty much any meaningful deals, and got rid of a bunch of their old stock for newer, more expensive brands. Used to be a great shop, but I wouldn't recommend it with where it is now. read more

Was a big fan of this establishment, but unfortunately new ownership recently took over and what made this place so special has been completed stripped away. Gone are the knowledgable and personable staff (bud-tenders and the security guards) who made you feel like you were a neighbor, you can no longer pay with debit cards (cash only now), the clean look of the store has been replaced with stock everywhere and crude signage, and the good vibes culture that permeated every inch of the store has been replaced by a sense of wanting to flee as you walk in. A read shame the new owners didn't stick to the winning formula that made this place the top shop in Los Angeles (IMHO). read more

I've only come here once so far, but this is a great spot to get your herbs! I walk by the area frequently while walking my dog and noticed it recently opened; it must have been either end of the year or around the start of 2024. The place was inviting and they have a huge selection of products to choose from. I THINK it was Haley who helped me out, but she took the time to understand what I was looking for and was knowledgeable about all the products that they offered. I ended up with a few promo items and she was able to tack on a few discounts because I was a local (same zip code) and because it was my first time there. I'll be coming back soon! read more

As a man in his mid 50s, I actually did not start using THC on a regular basis until about 18 months ago. Luckily, Benzeen is located right on my corner so it was definitely convenient. I have been to other dispensaries over the years, but none have been as exemplary as this establishment. The location is great, The wide variety of products that they sell is extremely impressive. Their prices are extremely reasonable, if not better than other places that I've been to. But what sets them apart more than any of the places I have been throughout Los Angeles. Is definitely their amazing customer service. I have built relationships with many of the employees here, including the security guards! While I have had wonderful experiences with every single employee that they have, I would have to say that Peter and Emma are definitely their shining stars. While the convenience, price, and inventory selections are enough to make me keep coming back, it's the people and the fun events that they put on, which happen regularly. I moved away from my old apartment six weeks ago, yet I still am back to this fine establishment every two or three days. Ownership switch to very greedy people. Fired all their old staff and removed all deals for locals or regulars. Got rid of any affordable stock for more expensive selection and up charged old more affordable stock. Any heart and soul this business had is dead, just another soulless storefront now. read more

I research Raw Garden test results and buy diamond sativa at their highest rating. Therefore I came across Benzeen. I called to verify if they had what I needed a very helpful and beautiful MCKENNA helped with all my questions, but I forgot to ask if the strain was sativa or Hybrid. I didn't think it would matter. (But it did). MCKENNA agreed to hold the Raw Garden strain I was looking for. Drove from Long Beach to La Brea (WLA) When I got there she (MCKENNA) was very helpful and accommodating and also hooked me up since I spent over $135. She also recommended a ROVE 96.6 RTU Vape. Very helpful! The ONLY downfall is from all that driving and effort, I mostly buy straight sativa and all 4 grams were hybrid. I thought I'd be okay with that but I think hybrids give me a headache ‍ no biggy I can give em away for Christmas!! Note; MCKENNA did inform me they were Hybrid. Today i went to a new location looking for something new to try im always a little weary of medical shops only because you never know what kind of service your going to get. Upon arrival i was greeted buy the nice security guard offering me free taste samples already off to a good start but once Ms Mckenna helped me out she offered great knowledge of different kind of strains i came in looking for something specific and she gave me many options was very patient with me and didn't push the most expensive brand she was present and didn't worry about getting me checked out.
