Aloft located in West Little Rock came up as safe and clean and I made my way here. It is probably the largest Aloft I have seen! Staff was awesome, room clean and quiet. Awesome area too. Hotel is in really good condition and my room is always clean and comfortable. I'm not a fan of a steamer..I'm old school and prefer having an iron in my room. Upon check in before my room was ready, I was given recommendations for what to see and do in Little Rock. Most of the things mentioned were already on my itinerary, but I appreciated getting the perspective of locals on what was worth seeing. My room was ready a few minutes after noon, and I noticed on the way to my room that the hallway was the only thing that showed the hotel's age. The floors were very dated and the walls looked like they could use a fresh coat of paint. But this differed vastly from my room. The furniture in my room leaned more toward modern. High ceiling, clean and functional room with a comfortable bed. However, my street-facing room was not soundproof and I couldn't fall asleep. I could hear everything happening on the street, including people talking and someone blasting music from their car that vibrated the walls for at least 30 minutes. The bathroom was OK, but I question the plumber who installed the sink and shower. The sink faucet was too close to the edge of the sink and it was difficult to wash my hands without hitting the faucet and getting water on the countertop. The shower water temperature indicators - hot (red) and cold (blue) - were backwards. At the very least, the hotel staff were welcoming and friendly, the hotel was easy to find and conveniently located downtown, and the rooms seem to be upgraded and comfortable. If you plan on staying here, request a room that isn't street-facing. I'd give this hotel a 3.5/5 stars, but I'll just round up to 4 stars for the hospitality I received.

The hotel itself is nice and modern, but the way they handle customers and charges is extremely disappointing. On a previous stay I was overcharged, which should have been my warning sign. More recently, I had a confirmed reservation and was already at the airport traveling to Little Rock when the hotel called me. They said their system had an issue and they had overbooked the hotel, so they had to cancel my reservation. While inconvenient, I was understanding because there were other Marriott properties nearby with availability. The staff member told me she would cancel the reservation on their end and assured me I would not be charged. However, I was still charged for the first night. I called both Marriott and the AC Hotel directly, explained the situation, and pointed out that I never stayed there and was forced to book another Marriott property that same night because they canceled my room. Despite that, they refused to refund the charge. Charging a customer for a room after you cancel their reservation due to your own overbooking error is unacceptable. The hotel may look nice, but the billing practices and lack of accountability are incredibly shady. There are plenty of other Marriott options in Little Rock that actually value their customers. I will not be staying here again.

The woman at the front desk was super nice and accommodating when we needed to alter our reservation, which we appreciated a lot. But unfortunately our room had roaches in the bathroom and we didn't notice until the morning, so that was disappointing. The shower was also very dirty and the couch mattress was stained. It wasn't bed bugs, but roaches can travel in your things and are very unsanitary and hard to get rid of, so I wouldn't stay here again for that reason.

Despite using the code that was emailed to us, we could not open the front door. I called the contact number and was sent an alternate code that worked. We stayed on in the Turret Suite on the third floor. Our emailed code worked to open the room lock. The room was clean and spacious. The pro of the room is the drinks and snacks provided, but unfortunately, there was a lot more misses: - The Turret bathroom looked like it fit into the period style with a claw foot tub, but it was not easy to use. The flimsy pipes made for turning on the tub difficult. Soap and shampoo was on a table two feet away from the tub. The raised claw foot tub made for a dangerous slippery situation to reach for soap and to get in and out of the tub even with a grab bar. - The toilet comes with old plumbing. Make sure to flush twice, if not three times, as it lacks flushing water pressure. - There are no side tables next to the bed, so phones and other personal items lands on the windowsill away from the bed. - Two huge lamps hung over the bed that we had to move to avoid head bumps. - The windows faced the street, but the slatted window blinds made for a bright room to sleep. The house was clean and we were able to use the common sitting areas downstairs. It would have been nice, especially for the price point, to have a pot of fresh coffee available in the huge kitchen downstairs or even fresh cookies or other baked treats. Heck, for the price, breakfast should have been served since they have a huge unused dining room.

Everything went well from the moment I checked in and walked out. The receptionist was beyond helpful with suggestions and provided me with some info on restaurants and activities in the area and I was given a few text messages to see if I needed any additional help. The room was clean and had everything I needed. A large fridge, microwave, sink, and dish washer. The bathroom was clean as well. The water ran fine and plenty of towels were provided. The desk area was perfect for me to work remotely and the WiFi was easy to access. Along with that, there was a movable table if I wanted to work from the couch. The bed was clean (no bed bugs) and the mattress was comfortable. The air conditioning worked perfectly and I even turned it down a little since it worked too well. The breakfast bar was excellent for my taste. Just the usual eggs, toast, sausage, bagels, and cereal. However they did have little pretzels that were delicious. Parking is nice. I felt safe parking my car and there are signs posted that there is a security surveillance. Close to restaurants and Walmart - if needed. Overall satisfactory.

We were able to check in and choose our room the morning of our arrival using the Hilton app. I did not love the welcoming pet policy, but I'm sure there are many people who see this as a huge positive. My husband made a joke about the bedroom tv being a nursing home tv since it fit inside an armoire. I think they have made some renovations, but you can still see some vintage vibes. The only bad thing we noticed when we were there was that the dishwasher was falling out of the nook/wall. It was our last morning and I was going to load the dishwasher. Upon grabbing the dishwasher handle to open it, the dishwasher basically fell out of the nook. My husband had to help me push it back in and I ended up hand washing the dishes.
