I was in town for less than 16 hours and needed a place to nap and put my things before my early…read moremorning train ride. Upon check in before my room was ready, I was given recommendations for what to see and do in Little Rock. Most of the things mentioned were already on my itinerary, but I appreciated getting the perspective of locals on what was worth seeing. My room was ready a few minutes after noon, and I noticed on the way to my room that the hallway was the only thing that showed the hotel's age. The floors were very dated and the walls looked like they could use a fresh coat of paint. But this differed vastly from my room. The furniture in my room leaned more toward modern. High ceiling, clean and functional room with a comfortable bed. However, my street-facing room was not soundproof and I couldn't fall asleep. I could hear everything happening on the street, including people talking and someone blasting music from their car that vibrated the walls for at least 30 minutes. The bathroom was OK, but I question the plumber who installed the sink and shower. The sink faucet was too close to the edge of the sink and it was difficult to wash my hands without hitting the faucet and getting water on the countertop. The shower water temperature indicators - hot (red) and cold (blue) - were backwards. At the very least, the hotel staff were welcoming and friendly, the hotel was easy to find and conveniently located downtown, and the rooms seem to be upgraded and comfortable. If you plan on staying here, request a room that isn't street-facing. I'd give this hotel a 3.5/5 stars, but I'll just round up to 4 stars for the hospitality I received.

The hotel itself is nice and modern, but the way they handle customers and charges is extremely disappointing. On a previous stay I was overcharged, which should have been my warning sign. More recently, I had a confirmed reservation and was already at the airport traveling to Little Rock when the hotel called me. They said their system had an issue and they had overbooked the hotel, so they had to cancel my reservation. While inconvenient, I was understanding because there were other Marriott properties nearby with availability. The staff member told me she would cancel the reservation on their end and assured me I would not be charged. However, I was still charged for the first night. I called both Marriott and the AC Hotel directly, explained the situation, and pointed out that I never stayed there and was forced to book another Marriott property that same night because they canceled my room. Despite that, they refused to refund the charge. Charging a customer for a room after you cancel their reservation due to your own overbooking error is unacceptable. The hotel may look nice, but the billing practices and lack of accountability are incredibly shady. There are plenty of other Marriott options in Little Rock that actually value their customers. I will not be staying here again.

This was right when I walked in so I hadn't even gotten the chance to get my hair in the sink. Secondly, I barely slept. There were at least three times someone tried to use a card to get in my room. I had dead-bolted the lock and thankfully their card didn't work but how is no one checking the halls at night? I felt so unsafe and grossed out. Also, bad breakfast and very loud people. For $130 per night, take your money elsewhere. I've paid far less for hotels and had way better experiences.

So, we left a review on Priceline saying it was bed bugs there. But the staff assured us they looked and it wasn't. They were kind and sweet and took pride in their hotel. They invited us back to check ourselves, and we only found 4 dead ants behind the bed on the trimming which can happen at any hotel. I tried to get Priceline to remove the review and they said they couldn't. I just wanted to make this comment here saying the hotel wasn't bad and the staff was very nice. They gave us 50 percent off for our troubles with everything even though they didn't have to. Priceline, you should be able to delete a review upon request of the person who made it. I'm sorry, country inn. I hope this review helps. I tried my best to get the other review taken down. Thank you for being kind and treating us with respect. We made that review before checking the room ourselves. Definitely a great deal for a place to stay.

It is easy to get anywhere in town from Central Ave. The hotel has a private boat ramp adjacent to the parking lot which is a convenient feature for boaters. We took a seat next to a table where a waitress was in an uninterruptable conversation with one of the diners. The other waitress was busy taking care of business. There was no greeting, no we'll be right with you from anyone. After a significant wait, I caught the waitress standing next to our table in between sentences and asked if anyone was waiting tables? She replied "Oh, she didn't get your order?" We got up and walked out. Skip the Double Tree café, there are many highly rated diners in town.

Be prepared because the elevators are TINY. We could barely fit. Had to make 3 trips up and down with our luggage. Poorly built. Also, room 607 has a decent view, if you can look past all the construction that is in front. Ummmm, thanks?? I swear I thought we were being pranked. So swimming pool was packed. Oh, you want a towel? Must sign them out in the front desk, which took 17 minutes to be exact, then if you lose a towel, it's $20 per. And you have to write your DL number on a piece of paper for all the strangers to see. What a joke. Let's move onto breakfast, oh, there is none. Apparently they got rid of their buffet over a year ago and never changed their advertising. Also refused to comp us because we didn't go through their website, went through a 3rd party (booked through my credit card), so refused to accept my Hilton honors account. Why am I a Hilton Honors member if I don't even get to utilize any of my perks?? WHAT A SCAM!!! Marie McFee was the manager on duty and couldn't even talk to me in person. Had the hotel clerk (who was mortified) communicate all the things with me. Don't spend a dime at this scam hotel. Did I mention the whole 6th floor smelled like weed? Usually I don't care but not with my 3 children. At least have the courtesy to go on the damn balcony. Aloft located in West Little Rock came up as safe and clean and I made my way here. It is probably the largest Aloft I have seen! Staff was awesome, room clean and quiet. Awesome area too. But unfortunately our room had roaches in the bathroom and we didn't notice until the morning, so that was disappointing. The shower was also very dirty and the couch mattress was stained. It wasn't bed bugs, but roaches can travel in your things and are very unsanitary and hard to get rid of, so I wouldn't stay here again for that reason.
