Out of all of the nice hotels I've stayed at, this is certainly in my top 3. I felt very comfortable and at home here, staying 3 nights. This was way better than when I lived for a month in a place that rhymed with "residents in" during one of my job relocations.
Stayed here for three nights toward the end of November, right before Thanksgiving. I'm just going to say up right off the bat that the only thing I didn't like was that parking cost $38/day, whether or not valet service is used. Apparently valet service is available only on the weekends. That was the only negative that I could think of. Parking space was always available whenever I needed it. Every day I was able to get a parking space either in back or the side of the building, and there is even more parking available on the street and (I think) in a small parking lot across the street from the BentoLiving building.
Check in was quick, and the employees were very welcoming, nice and full of information from the first time I went to the front desk and continuing through the entire time during my stay. The room was great - loved it! It had great amenities all in a large open studio: nice modern bathroom with a big shower, lots of water pressure and hot water, great smelling shampoo, conditioner and soaps, energy efficient stacking clothes washer and dryer, a nice sized fully stocked kitchen with a full sized refrigerator with freezer, a dishwasher, glass ware, utensils, plates, bowls, pots and pans, a dining table, and a space saving Murphy bed that could be converted into a small couch within minutes, a large TV monitor mounted on a swivel, allowing it to be viewed from anywhere but the bathroom, and decent amounts of storage and closet spaces. Oh, I remember another negative: there wasn't a microwave in the room. The room seemed open, airy and spacious. Opening up the blinds and the curtains allowed lots of natural light to brighten up the room. When the temperature was nice outside, I opened up the windows. There is an active railroad track right behind the hotel, but the noise from the trains didn't bother me one bit.
The hotel had some nice amenities: There was a self-serve Bodega retail store that was very well stocked, with alcohol, water, sodas, and other beverages, personal care items, dry foods, snacks, meals that can be cooked in the rooms, and a lot more. Customers can scan the items they want and pay for them at the self serve register. Other retail vendors onsite are cookie store, and a tea and spice store. In addition, BentoLiving has a fitness center, at least two common balconies/decks, and a rooftop deck with great views. The sounds of birds chirping was piped in common areas, at least on the second floor (I didn't go to other floors to find out if the chirping birds could be heard there). Maid service and towel and linen service was available for customers staying at least 4 nights.
BentoLiving Chestnut Hill is within a 10 minute drive from Downtown Nashville. There is at least one bar and a coffee house within a 5 minute walk from the hotel. There was an in-house bar/restaurant that had just opened up the day before I left, and I didn't get to fully experience that space.
I really loved staying at BentoLiving Chestnut Hill, and I highly recommend staying there. read more
